Love coming here. Great service and food. My son especially loved waving at the lovely friendly staff and drinking all your milk.

I had a coconut Custard bun which was nice and spongy with a really nice filling. The matcha latte was yummy too. I would come back here again if I'm in the area.

Lovely atmosphere! The owners and staff make you feel at home really. The food is delicious and often organic, vegan, gluten free and sugar free. Their oat latte is one of the best in town.

Nice coffee, friendly staff, nice cakes - some Middle Eastern/Turkish. Very resonable prices for coffee.

Lovely little place, cosy, fabulous deco and cocktails were great. The atmosphere were lovely and the live music was such a pleasure to listen to. If we come back to York we will definitely be back.

This is honestly the best restaurant we've been to in years! The food was delicious with very generous serving of gravy and beans for a more than reasonable price! Our server (a lady with dyed hair and possibly in her 20s) was super kind and went beyond her job giving us other vegan recommendations and was so lovely to talk to. Only wish we lived close so we could visit here more often! Wouldn't mind if the prices were higher as it is so good!

What a gem this place is, the food is great but even better (which is difficult) is the service! The two servers we have had, have been absolutely amazing.... so positive! They clearly have pride in their trade and the kitchen reflects that.

We Stopped for a bite and pint while doing the St Edmunds way walk to Lavenham. It’s a real Jem . Very clean and smart with a proper pub atmosphere. Food and drinks were perfect, all served by friendly and cheerful lady. Highly recommended.

I recently visited this charming café and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The café has such a lovely, relaxed vibe – perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast or brunch. I ordered the Full English breakfast, and it was nothing short of outstanding. Every component was cooked to perfection. The sausages were juicy and flavorful, the bacon crispy just the way I like it, and the eggs were fluffy and runny, just as they should be. The tomatoes were perfectly grilled, the mushrooms had an earthy richness, and the beans were served piping hot and delicious. The highlight for me, though, was the perfectly toasted, buttered bread that tied it all together. You could tell that a lot of care went into preparing each part of the dish – it was an absolute joy to eat. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the service. Peter, who served us our food, was an absolute delight. He was not only friendly but also attentive and thoughtful, ensuring that we had everything we needed. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about making your experience memorable, and Peter did just that. He added a personal touch to our visit, and his positive energy made the meal even more enjoyable. The café itself is a lovely place to spend time – clean, cozy, and full of charm. It’s clear that the owners and staff take pride in what they do. Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a relaxing morning, this spot has everything you need to start your day right. I can’t recommend this café enough! If you’re a fan of classic English breakfasts done right, served with a side of fantastic service, this is the place to be. We were her only customers. We ordered the exact same thing and waited 40min for 2 burgers. The young lady - as nice as she was- was super ditsy and could not remember our order. She came to us after 20 min to confirm, two burgers with vegan cheese and onion chutney + 2 kimchy vegan loaded fries. Before serving she said the burgers were ready but messed up the fries, she only prepared a non-vegan versin which my partner has. I should mention that an old mate of hers was there chitchatting during that time. We were not impressed by the service, it’s poor, borderline unacceptable. She did give me a refund for the fries i never had. Food is good though. Hence the 3 stars.
