Harvey's Westgate in Kirklees

We went here early Saturday evening, we really enjoyed the food and drinks on offer and it was served beautifully by staff that couldn't do enough, back again soon

A lovely meal was had here. Shame they have a limit on table time, but understand why. There were places to sit in the bar area. Will be back

Despite an advert at the Huddersfield town match for 10% of for Season ticket holders at yesterdays game we were refused discount due to the fact it was a bank holiday. This came across as a misleading advert. Speaking with the so called manager he advised this was in the t&c’s and he could not offer the discount. When I mentioned he could at least offer one drink as a gesture of good will I was advised he would not. He made the point he would not back down. Yet again I feel let down by Harveys achieving a sale by misrepresentation.

Visited for lunch on a Friday. Friendly staff and excellent food. Took a little while to get our food but when arrived was very good. Quite expensive but good quality.

The venue itself is rather unprepossessing, however, the service was ‘par excellence’ as was the food. We were waited upon by a charming and personable young woman who was anxious to tend to our needs; at no point were we rushed. The food was served in a timely fashion and was simply delicious.

Forget the dogs on the street, this is where the cool cats meet. It's the drink my chic and I did seek. White Zombies did not contain meat. Alcoholic tastes like a treat, when serving with a little sweet. Ask for Joe, you'll feel heat. Top cocktail skills you will not beat.

What can I say. Amazing food. Amazing experience. We visited for my son’s 10th Birthday with a group of family and friends. The venue was warm and welcoming to enter, lovely greeting from the staff. Food and service impeccable. They also kindly brought out the Birthday cake we took to celebrate the Birthday. Thank you so much for today, we visited off the back of your trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Happy to recommend to all and hopefully will visit again soon. Thank you

Was there today as a table of 11 for a Christmas meal. Service was slow and after we finished our mains we were told we had 15 more minutes before we needed to leave the table. We all wanted desserts and more drinks and were not warned when booking that we had a time limit. Wouldn’t go back with a big group. Had the roast dinner, meat was tough and overcooked but the rest was lovely. Wouldn’t rush back

Me and my coworkers came for our christmas meal and we had absolutely amazing service and lovely food will definitely be returning!!!

Absolutely lovely place to dine, all the staff were amazing but a special mention to our server Brandon, he was always on hand when needed, so polite and courteous an asset and an absolute pleasure. The food was amazing can not fault this place at all a lot of choice and fabulous quality. Great food, service, atmosphere!

This place is an absolute must! I took my 11 year old son for an early dinner and he absolutely loved it. He went for the stone baked pizza which you can see them prepare and cook, followed by a yummy brownie. I had 2 x small plates (sweet potato chips and salmon), delicious. Our servers were Brandon and Charlotte. They were so friendly and accommodating and really made us feel comfortable. The interior is beautiful too. I’d highly recommend a visit.

Had seen this as an option when looking at places to eat before a concert at Huddersfield Town Hall. Initially dismissed it as I thought it was too far away but when having a walk down the high street I discovered this was actually close and decided to see if they had space as we hadn't booked. On walking in we were greeted by very friendly staff who were very happy to accomodate us as a trio. Alex (our server) recognised we were going to a concert at the Town Hall and reassured us that they would be able to serve us quickly to be able to get back in time. Drinks were served quickly and food was lovely in a very pleasant environment. I headed off back to the Town Hall and left my parents who enjoyed another drink. Will certainly visit again! Thanks again to Alex and all the staff who epitomised great hospitality.

My friend and I came for Sunday lunch which was absolutely beautiful. The beef melted in the mouth and was plentiful. Staff were lovely and the place just has a really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend

We came here for a family meal to celebrate a graduation. Everybody was so satisfied with their food and we all left stuffed. Brandon made the day extra special by giving the graduate a celebratory pornstar martini and a shot and bringing out a sparkler. He was so lovely and attentive and made our meal very enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful experience made extra special by Brandon. Thank you so much!

Good Sunday roast. Charlotte was a good host and attentive. Will probably be back at some point to try more of the menu. Atmosphere was a little bit let down by a large group of women being loud next to us making it hard to hear.

Food came cold sent it back still came cold. They need to learn from the feney bridge restaurant the place wasn't even busy. Wouldn't like to think what its like when busy

Tapas was full of flavour. Staff were exceptional, really good service. It was a Thursday so a quiet night everywhere in general but still had a few in and the atmosphere was relaxing. Will definitely go again.

We had a lovely evening. the food was great , so was the service throughout the evening. Saurie was lovely. The only downside was we forget to ask for the 10% discount fir being Huddersfield Town season ticket holders. 🤦‍♀️. Will definitely go back.

Went for a colleagues leaving meal, food was nice and really enjoyed the hanging kebab (although could have done with another flat bread). Was not overly busy on a Wednesday so meant could get served on quick time. Definitely worth another visit.

Have been here once and can honestly say it will be the last. The starters of garlic mushrooms on toast and the mozzarella garlic bread were spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful, until the mains came out. My partner had buttermilk chicken sandwich with mango and mint slaw . She asked for the slaw on the side. When the burger came out it was dry, an over toasted brioche bun and 1 piece of limp lettuce and the chicken tasted of dirty fat and was very dry. My double burger was just ok. Although it had salad, tomato and relish. Unlike the chicken burger. The chicken burger was eventually knocked off the bill.

Great food with vegan and veggie options, service was great too, all of the staff are really lovely and welcoming. Bathroom is also so cute with little hand towels! Pricing is honestly not bad and reflects the standard of the food :) will definitely come back next time I visit Huddersfield (especially for the Toblerone martini)

Food is great, if somewhat overpriced. 10/10 recommend the hanging kebabs. It always seems quiet when we visit, but we rarely visit at peak times. Food takes quite a while to come out so be prepare for the wait! Solid 9/10 The staff man openly lied to a little old lady about the location of a nearby business. /(so minus one star for him)
