The Whistling Kettle Team Room in Kirklees

Whistling Kettle opened especially for our Baby Shower Party on a Sunday when they are usually closed. From the beginning the staff were so accommodating and went above and beyond. We had two members who had an allergy which was absolutely no problem for them, as they baked home-made pastries and cakes to accommodate this - which were absolutely delicious! The entire event ran so smoothly and they ensured everything was how we wanted it including decorations, food, drink, layout etc. Could not recommend enough!

I want to say a massive thankyou to the staff for hosting my sons birthday breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more, the service was outstanding and the staff went the extra mile, from allowing him to have his age as a table number, providing candles for his cake when we'd forgotten ours, lighting the candles and bringing the cake for us to sing happy birthday and providing a knife and paper bags to take it home in. The food was lovely and well priced, it cost us less than it usually would for 12 people to eat breakfast out. We are planning on making it our birthday Tradotion! Thankyou ❤️

Fabulous homemade minestrone soup.

Been here several times before and always enjoyed the food and wide range of menu choices. I have to say the seafood paella was delicious today. Really good to see a group of ladies in having bottomless brunch. The place had a great atmosphere and it was busy, but chilled.The staff here are always really friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to the special events coming up.

A friend and I had coffee there a few weeks ago and Looking round I noticed a door with the sign Afternoon Tea Room . ,so having been greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely lunch I made plans to return for an annual afternoon tea treat. because of Dietary problems the young girl was very understanding in our request of two afternoon teas and a sandwich from the menu.it was Devine , nothing was too much bother our every whim was attended too .we we’re so pleased we had gone and no doubt will return .

Lovely little tea room. Great menu. Lovely little corner for children with books, colouring books etc. Staff friendly and efficient.

Stopped for a quick lunch and really enjoyed it. Brilliant service, reasonable prices, smashing menu and nice interior. Chicken Caesar salad was a good portion, plenty of chicken and great flavours. The meatball sub with oozing melted cheese was divine! We would certainly go back.

This is an absolute gem of a place. The food is amazing…greek salad is fantastic as is the garlic herby mushrooms on toast!!!! The service is so friendly, polite and very efficient. The facilities are spotless! Go go go! You wont be disappointed.

Our first time here in this beautiful building. Loved the food and the two ladies serving were lovely. Toilet has baby changing facility and there are some quirky nooks with sofas.My friends and I will definitely call in again.

Afternoon tea was amazing, so much food we ended up taking some of both the sweet and savoury offerings home with us. Superb quality, all home made and the ladies working there were brilliant -thankyou 🥰

But let's get to the real star of the show: the bacon sandwich. It was absolutely scrumptious! The bacon itself was sourced from a local farm shop, and its quality truly shone through. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and the presentation was spot-on. Knowing the meat comes from a local farm adds another layer of appreciation, supporting sustainable practices and fresh ingredients. Overall, this cafe is a gem. My friend & I had an afternoon tea today as a birthday treat. The food was lovely & so was the service. The staff went above & beyond to make it special.

Had a very good time at the Whistling Kettle Team Room! Attended their Mexican themened night with some friends and it was a great outing! The atmosphere was friendly, fun, and welcoming. The live performance was also really fun to watch and enjoyed well with the food which was also great! Will be looking to come back again soon.

Nicely decorated cafe and lovely coffee. The food was disappointing was. We both ordered smashed avocado on toasted sour dough with cherry tomatoes. Rather than letting us know that they had none of the ingredients, we received guacamole smeared on white toasted bread (with no tomatoes). I’d have preferred to have ordered something else. That said, we had also asked for a poached egg with our meal which they did kindly do. The service was initially very slow but a more experienced person then took over and it improved a little. I’d only return for coffee rather than food in the future.

My first time visiting this beautiful place with my mother,we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch,The staff were very friendly and chatty ,we highly recommend The Whistling Kettle,We will definitely be back when visiting the area

Honestly, never been to a better café. I'm picky with my coffees and this was delicious. The cakes look and taste absolutely delicious, same with the menu food. I also cannot get over how adorable the doggy corner is, either. Will 100% be making this a regular place to visit. Thank you so much to the staff today for being so welcoming and friendly❤

I have been in a few times now, the place is actually really big when you walk inside. I have worked from here a number of times for an hour or 2 and the staff have been really friendly. Can't fault it!

Visited the fabulous Whistling Kettle tea room today and wow what a beautiful place to spend a rainy afternoon. The decor is beautiful my favourite was the calm room with comfy sofas and lit candles just out of the way from the busy main room. We had coffee and a massive piece of Lemon cake which I can definitely recommend. Crumble had doggy treats which were available on the counter and she had her own menu including doggy ice cream! We will definitely be back!
