Love this place. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Really enjoy the food too and that’s a great bonus. Seriously though the food is excellent and they are happy to do variations. It does get busy at times but that’s because of the quality and atmosphere. Prices are not cheap but not overpriced, you won’t get quality ingredients on cheap prices. Recommend the well actually every thing it’s all good. Only downsides is sometimes you can’t get a seat and occasionally there can be a wait. But the wait is always worth it.

Waited nearly 40 minutes for pancakes and sandwiches and weren't told how long the wait was when ordering. The people in front of us were told 20 mins.. ended up with two kids wolfing down their pancakes in 5 minutes and putting the rest in a takeaway box and us not having time to eat at all and they never even apologised or offered to take something off the bill. The real kicker is between the staff, chef (who came out to argue too) and the manager herself, not one person apologised, they all just said it was our fault for not saying we wanted the pancakes first (even though they were ordered separately and ten mins before the sandwiches). Essentially, they didn't inform of a 30 minute wait for pancakes and put a further hold on them to bring them out with a separate order of sandwiches, even though they knew there were young kids waiting for their food (they even said if we know itsukids we try to bring it out sooner, they never did so why say it). Then instead or apologising they argued - the staff, chef and manager all argued with me and didn't offer anything to be taken off even though the kids had 5 mins to eat half and the adults didn't eat at all. And the pancakes were £10! Only ordered pancakes as they had run out of crumpets, seem to have run out of half the stuff. Been going here for years (before it was taken over by the new owners and since) and they know we're regular customers. We regularly are left sitting waiting for ages for food but they normally at least say how long the wait is so we can decide if we have time but no such luck today. They told us we should have asked ourselves rather being given the information as they are a restaurant (it's a lunch cafe) and over 30 minutes is normal for food (including pancakes) - so be warned. I wouldn't be writing this now if we'd have got a simple apology for the wait. You've lost regular customers for your rudeness. What manager argues with their customers and doesn't apologise?! Not nice being a woman surrounded by five members of staff all arguing I was wrong. Shall I also mention that the place was half empty..?

Found by chance, as I had taken the wrong 'bus, and ended up at Rusthall! The lady serving was very pleasant, and I ordered an americano with milk on the side, plus a slice of carrot cake. I thoroughly enjoyed this visit, the atmosphere was good, and, at £7, I consider my experience a good one. The lady was kind enough to direct me to where I could take the 'bus to my actual destination. I shall certainly return to Daily Bread.

Really nice English breakfast. Probably the best locally. It takes a bit of time to arrive but I expect that is because it’s cooked properly. My fried eggs are always just right and the toast it from their bead baked on the premises. I am told the sausage is made by them also. All in all very good.

Visited today for the first time - remembered to book this time, as couldn't get in when last visited as it was so busy (a good sign). Booking was easy, rapid response from Joe. I had the mushrooms on toast which were amazing - and I am a happy carnivore! Coffee's pretty decent too. My friend had the crumpets which were also divine. Highly recommend. I love this place. I really do. But there has been a change. The £12 breakfast used to be really good quality, here what’s changed. They used to be home made beans, they were amazing, the sauce was top. Now, I kid you not, they are tinned beans and that’s fine, but I literally, and kid you not, got one single spoon of beans. The bacon was over done and dry, clearly made in the oven and reheated. The meal plating was sporadic, and looked bare. Used to be my go too, now the portion size, lack of good service (brung three dishes out with 5 min intervals between) change to cheaper ingredients; it’s just a shame. I hope they take notice and be how they used to be. Maybe it’s new owners or something?

Welcoming and consistently good, Daily Bread is a pretty cafe and bakery in Rusthall village. Their menu mixes tasty favourites with more individual options, all cooked & served to a very high standard. Check out their homemade baked beans; delicious. Can’t fault the place, it’s worth battling the current traffic for.

Me and my boyfriend came here on the Friday burger night with our friends, I was expecting a lovely meal because I have had breakfast here before but I was not expecting it to be that good! I can honestly say that this was 5 star gourmet food, I would choose coming here over the ivy for a delish chicken burger and truffle fries. It was not just the food either the service was impeccable and they kept us up to date with timings and everything and always made sure we had everything we needed. Time went so quick sitting in this lovely candle lit relaxed table setting we had the best time. I would highly recommend The Daily Bread not just for breakfast but definitely for one of their special burger or pizza nights. Thank u!

This place is the best for breakfast in the Tunbridge Wells area. Consistently delicious food, great produce (the eggs are very obviously local from farmers so rich and orange the yolks are - absolutely incredible). Each time I eat here I fall more in love. Every ingredient on the plate is above standard. Each item has had thought and effort put in. The staff are so engaged and happy and helpful. The entire experience is just wonderful. After visiting a couple of times since they opened I was looking to escape the home office and wandered in for a coffee (always excellent). After reading the menu I decided to order a swiss cheese, beetroot and sauerkraut toastie. This arrived presented with a 'proper' side salad. Everything was excellent, the combination really 'worked' and despite some concerns I'd never finish it - I did :-) The Daily Bread is probably our local little secret - but seeing as all the tables were occupied there's clearly enough local support from those 'in the know'.
