We just got back from a children's Halloween party with two of our grandchildren at the Gardner's and as ever the event was superbly run by Lee, Wendy, Sarah and the team, nothing was too much trouble. We actually messed up and missed the booking deadline for the party but the team bent over backwards to accommodate and entertain our grandchildren. How Lee does it I've no idea but the pub manages to cater for all members of the community from sports fans to families, youngsters to OAPS (like us) . We even had a scooter rally a few weeks ago which again was superbly accommodated and as far as I'm aware extremely well run. Our four year old Grandson calls the Gardner's his mates pub (Lee) and I'm guessing that clients of all ages feel the same way. Superb!

Super accueil et endroit chaleureux. Pleins de bons produits, ( coup de cœur pour le jus de pommes ). Personnels au top. Continuez comme ça !

Great Sunday roast. Good beer. Nice decor, friendly vibe. Local. When I reflect on how this place used to be 10 years ago compared with now, it's like light and day.

I was there for the first time 21 years ago, it was a great bar then, and it still is today.

Receiving great reviews on Trip Advisor. Good service and the licencee Sam has made his vision for this pub come true. They now sell Bailey's! Yes. The kitchen has now opened and the interesting menu changes regularly and the food is delicious. Check out the website and the KM interview. Take no notice of the secret drinker who turned up at the quietest time. Quiz night Monday. Open mike nights and regular live music. There is a real buzz to this place frequented by mature clients and their canine friends.

The best thing about this place was the service. My wife has nut allergies and they had to deal with our American accents. Luke the bartender is the best.

This is the most delicious and nutritious breakfast in Islington. It was the best consistency hummus with dry tomato I've ever eaten, spicy sausage lovers should definitely try the Mediterranean plate. I would also like to thank the staff for the wonderful service with a smile.

Fabulous Sunday roast dinner. We opted for a 2 course lunch starting with the ribs and chilli crispy beef, both were full of flavour and with the rib meat tender and juicy. We then had our carvery Sunday Roast and I have to say it one one of the best I have ever had. The beef and gammon were cooked to perfection, my grandson who is almost 1 could eat the beef it was that tender! Served with a large variety of vegetables, I just opted for the red cabbage, creamy leeks & cauliflower cheese, all full of flavour and accompanied with a good Yorkshire pudding and nice roast potatoes ( mash also available). I would recommend booking if you can but we did do a walk inn. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely look forward to dinning here again when in the area, it’s about 10 min drive from ChesterZoo too!

My dad went for a roast last week, wow! Never ever again. Avoid this place. Carrots were raw, lamb was processed shit, Yorkshire pudding nearly broke his teeth it was that hard! The mash was cold. Nearly £15 for this 1 meal. Definitely changed management because it used to be lovely. Disgusting!

We got there at 2230. The place and people are very welcoming. It's very calm tranquila atmosphere. I only ate a wrap as they had closed the kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend it.

Can't believe this cafe drive thru has been here all this time, their coffee is great, cakes are so rich and the Cardamon tea is the best. Good bye to costa and Starbucks!

Brilliant afternoon for a friend's birthday, Shaz was great from the off and made the afternoon great so thank you. Shaz was attentive and made sure no one had an empty glass. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. Deffo come again
