Overall a good pub, with a wide selection of beers from a variety of brewers. Excellent food and a really tasty pie! Sat outside since the inside of the pub felt dark and cold, perhaps some better lighting would aid the atmosphere. Nonetheless it’s a great experience and the decor and team were nice.

The Commercial is normally excellent but the food was not so good this time unfortunately - had the lamb burger - it was like a ball and quite tough, nan was dry and not enough pickle or relish. In contrast the pud was lovely. The waiter seemed annoyed when my friend asked to send back her meal as it was not as described on the menu. Quite a rowdy noisy atmosphere. Disappointed tbh 😕

Excellent food and the service is top notch. We come here regularly for Sunday lunch and the food is consistently good! It also has a great range of veggie options. The bar staff are friendly and always happy to help (e.g. provide extra gravy and sauces etc.) We keep coming back and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

Good pub with a good selection of beer and food

Food was, as always, outstanding. It was perfectly cooked and presented well and gave extra gravy when requested. Excellent veggie and gluten free options too !!

Tried this pub for the first time as we usually go to others in Beeston. It had a nice friendly vibe pub with a good range of ales, beers and spirits. Decor and layout was modern and inviting. Was quite busy when we visited on Saturday evening which created a good atmosphere. Didn’t eat here so cannot comment on food.

Good old pub with traditional values and great food Took my wife and father-in-law for a meal here and it was fantastic. Real ales available. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. The menu was great, from fish and chips to tapas. A little less batter on the tapas would be appreciated, but that’s being picky. Afterwards the owner/manager came over and introduced himself which was really nice and a gesture not often experienced these days. We explained that my father-in-law lived nearby and we are encouraging him to get out and visit. He was really helpful and settled any nerves my wife had of him being having a fall.

Very relaxing pub with great well kept beers, love the Sunday lunches and even better when the sun's out and a few beers in the garden although I'm not keen on the stoney garden.

Popped in for a Sunday Roast today. Have been several times and the food was exceptional as always. Service is always great as well.

Great pub good real ale selection. Went across for a quiz night which was fun. Buzzing for a Thursday eve. Suggest you book if you want to go for that as we were lucky to find a table. Lots of folks eating before, so guessing the food was good too!

Worst sunday dinner for along time, Luke warm, somethings under cooked some over cooked, didn't eat it and told staff when they asked it was terrible they just smiled and walked away, one roast potato and powdered mash.

Th food was Luke warm, parsnips under cooked could not cut them, mash tasted like powdered mash, dinner had been left under warming station and was therefore dry, I had one roast potato, staff asked how the food was and told them terrible they just smiled and walked away, another member of our group told staff we were not all happy they said they had a number of complaints and left it at that

Had a Christmas social function here. The food was fantastic service was really good and the atmosphere was great. Really good pub.

From the Tapas menu Paras bravas Tempura prawns Zangi chicken Cod check scampi Lamb cofta Bhajis Portion of hand cooked chips. Overall an enjoyable experience and I will go back again, a minor criticism would be. Too much batter on bhajis, not enough onion. Batter on prawns a bit greasy. More chips for the money, £4.50 a bit steep. 8 out of 10. I will be going back to try other items on the menu and the beer was good and reasonable priced. Service was good and the staff friendly.

Visited here on a Thursday for dinner, we had booked a table - which I would recommend as it did get quite busy, We ordered from the Tapas section of the menu, there was three of us and we shared 8 plates, The food was very nice and there was a wide range of beers available, Will be visiting again 👍

Went here last Saturday for a family lunch. Loved the exterior painting & the decor inside was very good too. Unfortunately I was driving so could not sample any of the excellent beer selection. The food was excellent. I had the rib-eye steak & it was the nicest i have had for a vry long time. Other meals were pork belly, lamb & salmon & all were splendid too. Service was good & there was a great atmosphere for a Saturday lunchtime. Recommended.

Had such an amazing sunday dinner (03/11/2024) tasted amazing was very impressed as where all the family even the toddler. Staff as a whole where very attentive and gave an excellent service. Unfortunatly the lady at the bar who took our food order (brunette slighlty older) insulted me when she saw fit to mock the way I spoke, she mimiced my voice which I found highly unproffesional and very rude. The family member I was with asked if knew her as they assumed I did due to the mocking, I did not know her at all. I just feel its a shame that the staff member saw fit to act like this and leave a unfavourable impression on what would of been an excellent meal out.

After a lovely walk around Attenborough nature reserve we had the most delicious Sunday roast. Beef and lamb shank were divine with a super tasty selection of roasted parsnip,carrot, potatoes plus red and green cabbage, mash and a yorkshire put the size of a small child's head. Couldn't manage pudding. Really friendly staff who were very accommodating.

Great Sunday roast. Good beer. Nice decor, friendly vibe. Local. When I reflect on how this place used to be 10 years ago compared with now, it's like light and day.

We had our post wedding party here. The food was amazing, everybody commented on how good it was. Thecstaff were fab, and the room was perfect. I would definitely recommend The Commercial gor a party venue.

Went a couple of weeks ago with family…..absolutely fantastic Sunday roast , one of the best I’ve ever had , loads of it , great selection and hot …. Definitely returning and 100% recommended

On the day I visited, I was starving. I did not make a booking, but I guess they could see starvation in my face. The staff were absolutely lovely. They rearranged seating, and I was accommodated. I did not wait long for my meal. And it was tasty and delicious. I will visit again. Best Sunday meal in a long time!!!

Popped in while returning my daughter to student digs in Beeston. Excellent service and a lovely atmosphere. The food was exceptional. The best chips ever, and I would highly recommend the burgers. All round awesome experience.

The Commercial Inn is a fantastic and vibrant pub and it is testament to the team there about how popular and successful it is. Service is always friendly, atmosphere great and the special evenings, incl Comedy, Open Mic and Live Music, really make this pub stand out from the rest. Highly recommended!

Stopped for a family lunch here on the way home from a holiday. Its a much larger place than you think with plenty of seating. The menu has a broad selection of food, ranging from Tapas to traditional burgers and pizza. We had a great lunch with lovely food and very friendly service, definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Good pub, great staff, really helpful, let down by the food, they have put the prices up since we were last in and the steak pie was "hunt the steak" and the crust was rock hard, poor, will not be eating here again.

I had not been before for Sunday lunch, so I was amazed at the quality of the food,and the service, and the price, I will certainly go again.

We dine here regularly and it is always superb. The menu is fantastic and service amazing. The new chef is absolutely brilliant and I would recommend the commercial to anyone looking for a good dining or social experience. If you like live music, then the weekend evenings are for you. Special shout out to Finn who really makes the effort with all customers to make sure you enjoy the experience. Thank you

Well run, friendly pub/restaurant in the heart of one of the best towns in Nottinghamshire. Great service, good range of drinks and crowd-pleasing food menu.

We arrived earlier than our booking time and were immediately greeted by the manager (Mark), despite our early arrival we were shown to our table, where we placed our orders, the staff were so friendly and attentive and the service quick and professional. We ordered a belly pork Sunday roast, and a beef Sunday roast with a side of cauliflower cheese. The meals arrived very quickly and we offered extra sauces and gravy. The food was fantastic! We've never had such a delicious roast dinner eating out! The pork and beef were cooked to perfection, roast potatoes were incredible, and Yorkshire puddings were perfect! Portion sizes were perfect as well. Would highly recommend having your Sunday dinner here, great work guys!

Really friendly staff. Great variety of cask ale on tap as well as other craft/lager. Nice interior as well as good sized pub garden which gets the afternoon sun. Food also of high standard.

Not been in for many years, but was really impressed. Live music, lots of space inside aswell as out. Great atmosphere and freindly staff. If you know beeston, no students either which is always a bonus.

Regular visitor but always feel welcome. Comfortable, relaxing environment. Calling in for a pint always ends up 2 or 3!

Really nice pub, nice staff and good clientele. Only disappointment is the poor choice of ciders - only two mass produced ciders which is odd when so many real ales/ beers are on offer.

Our new local... Even though it's 40 mins walk, but so worth the effort/steps/calories... Eaten here many times, food is amazing everytime, even this mother's day, obviously mad busy, but attention to detail was still the same, an amazing Sunday lunch. Looking forward to it next visit... We attended a 70th Birthday party in the upstairs bar. We were greeted at the downstairs bar and given directions, which was very helpful. The buffet was a mix of hot and cold, which was great and very nice. A good selection of beers with an even larger selection downstairs in the main bar. We had a great night - Thanks

Average food for average price. We had the fish and chips x 2 plus bottle of wine for £40. But dog friendly so a plus!

Lovely, welcoming pub for a family Xmas meal, including young children. The food was delicious and we were impressed by the vegan options especially. Only flaw was a lack of non-dairy milk, taking white teas and coffees off the menu for some of our party, which felt like an oversight. Would highly recommend all the same and will definitely come back

Fab food, great ambience and lots of choice. Pleaee can you add a vegan/dairy free dessert so I've no excuse to leave! Something very wrong when your dinner order gets completely forgotten about...

Good pub / restaurant with wide choice of well-kept real ales. Tapas menu and pizzas are excellent. The quiz night on a Thursday is a favourite.

Definitely recommend going earlier rather than later on a Sunday 😂 Food good though which is the important thing. The online menu mentioned chicken but once there, we only saw turkey on the festive menu so our daughter didn't really eat anything. Good value.
