Been going here for a couple years, can't believe I haven't reviewed already! Always fantastic service, great banter and chatter and such a beautiful atmosphere even at their busiest hours 10/10 If you make coffee at home, buy their beans!

Initially I went to this quaint coffee shop for a drink because everywhere was busy in Beeston. I order a small coffee, only 5 customers and seemed quiet. I waited for 40 minutes for a coffee that never came despite the two baristas passing me and telling me they'd bring a coffee over. I braved to ask for a refund - which was never issued in the end after checking 1 day, checked again a week later. Really disappointing and had high hopes. Also perhaps maybe don't eat the food, the guy was holding a customers dog near uncovered food as I asked for the refund - yikes.

A lovely tranquil place with friendly staff and some absolutely exquisite cinnamon buns. Highly recommended if you fancy a bit of peace.

New favourite coffee spot! Me and my wife come here all the time now, my wife has the matcha latte cold or hot depending on the weather and loves it, best matcha she has outside of home made matcha, simple oat latte for me hits the spot perfectly always The buns on offer are also delicious we have tried the jam and the classic cinnoman bun so far and both taste great! The service is so consistent and always great, such a great atmosphere everyone is so lovely, price is well worth it everything we get we will be sure to be back ☺️

I can tell that: Buns - are by no means their speciality…I might as well gurgle shots of yeast 💀and dry as anything! Breathing after eating them buns, surely will enforce ULEZ charges amongst poor Beestonians with all them loose dusty crumb particles in the air. Send help! I canny breathe!! Besides that, the coffee is quite nice…that is the truth!

Coffee is really good and atmosphere is great, however the seating is uncomfortable and could definitely do with cushioning for those who want to study in there for a couple of hours.

A lovely coffee shop with a decor that screams fika! Brilliant staff and they know their coffee, for treat go for their speciality bean. The cakes are also pretty fine, and if you happen to follow a plant based lifestyle you will find that a majority of the cakes are to your tastes :)

Love Greenhood coffee. It’s really smooth and not bitter. First time in as long as I can remember, I don’t need sugar in my coffee to take away the acidity. Perfect blend, perfect way to start the day and perfect way to get your caffeine fix. Truly perfection in a cup!

I live in Wollaton but always come to green hood to buy my coffee ( Oat latte). The quality of coffee is exceptionally high and the staff are top notch. The environment is clean and lovely place to chill with friends whilst enjoying a cuppa with some buns. Welldone guys and keep up the good work

We came here for a chill drink a few days ago which was lovely as usual fast service and very friendly staff! I didn't even realise I had left my wallet at the time but the amazing guy went above and beyond what he needed to do and ended up returning my wallet to me ! This was so kind and magical. The cafe place is very cosy and welcoming and I liked how there was seatings upstairs meaning more space for those who want a bit a quite, however I didn’t like how I was basically kicked out of the store due to not buying a hot drink as I wasn’t aware that in order to stay in the shop and study I would need to buy something, which is fair enough but that was not clear from the beginning, and one of the workers had the audacity to say it was not fair for the other people that actually want to sit down and eat and that took me as a surprise because I was genuinely not aware, so that was a bit disrespectful I believed.

Favourite cafe. The coffee is great, the buns are fantastic, the vibe is chill, the staff are a good (if questionable) sort. Highly recommend.

I used to really enjoy coming here; it was always my first choice for coffee. They had the most incredible almond and butter croissants and other fabulous cakes! Have to agree with another reviewer in that it now has a very 'fast food joint' look to it and the only cakes available were 'buns'; the one I had wasn't cooked through. I didn't eat it all. I didn't complain either (short on time) so I've no idea how they would have rectified it. The coffee and service was good though, hence 3 stars.

I went for a quick flat white and hot chocolate on a busy Saturday(takeaway) The vibe is a lovely relaxed atmosphere if you want to meet your friends. I’ve seen reviews where people are moaning about no food. There is a selection but moral of the story is there a coffee shop not a cake shop. Most amazing flat white I’ve EVER had. My partner really enjoyed her hot chocolate! The guy who made the drinks - engaged in a conversation with all customers and ALL staff was lovely and friendly. Next time I’m in Beeston on a market I will 110% be going here. Highly recommend this coffee shop. Thanks for a great experience!

Best coffee in Beeston, hands down. Friendly, knowledgeable service and chill vibes. Always ask what buns they have in stock, and see if there's a seasonal one the team would recommend. The only thing that could improve it would be more accessible seating and toilets on the ground floor. That's a small niggle though, as there is a lot of open space for manoeuvring on the ground floor.

I’ve been coming to Green Hood occasionally since it first opened and am disappointed with the changes. The coffee and customer service are always fantastic but since the refurb the new seating is like sitting in an upmarket fast food place. They’ve also stopped putting out magazines due to them being stolen, which is fair enough, but it was the only bit of atmosphere left. They used to have a range of cakes and bagels but this has been scaled down to just their buns. I’ve tried the buns several times now and they’ve always been a bit bland and raw in the middle. Although I really like the coffee and staff I’m going to start going elsewhere from now on. There are other cafes in Beeston where the coffee and service is just as good, but they also do food, cakes, and have a welcoming space to sit in.

Excellent coffee and one of the best cinnamon rolls I've had in a long time. A great place to get some work done whether alone or in groups with several booths and plenty of plug sockets. There's an abundance of chain coffee shops in Beeston but I'd highly recommend visiting these guys instead.

A cafe I've been to many times, not cheap but good value for money

If you're looking for your next favourite local speciality coffee house, then congratulations, you have found it. A friend introduced me to this place a couple of months ago and I am consistently served amazing, complex and exciting coffee by really friendly and knowledgeable staff who really do know their stuff. They are legitimately happy to talk coffee all day long and it is a simply delightful piece of modern coffee culture to have in Nottingham. As a result, if you do prefer a place that serves coffee more like a traditional consumer-coffee flavour-profile, then the flavours here may take some getting used to, as many of the guest blends are quite dynamic. But their Neighbourhood blend is always a safe choice if you're not looking to branch out into other kinds of coffee and are just looking for your old faithful. On that note, though, the staff seem more than happy to provide advice about which coffee and method would suit you best if you do find yourself feeling adventurous, which I think is an amazing piece of service. I couldn't recommend this place more, I love coming here.

Cute and simplistic coffee shop. Stopped here with a friend for a catch up and enjoyed an Oat milk hot chocolate. There was few tasty treats avaliable, but would be great if there was more choice food wise, e.g. sandwhiches, cakes and pastries.

Always love coming here, and have done several times. The staff are friendly and vibrant, I consider the pricing to be reasonable and the snacks/drinks are delicious! Although I haven’t tried all their seating, I appreciate the variety that suits groups, individuals and more private respite upstairs. I’m especially thankful it can fit a pram without issue!

The phrase ‘ I think we have that I will just go and check’ did not originate from here. The staff are an intellectual joy to talk with. They know coffee. Nice to see the intellectuals of Beeston enjoying a relaxing coffee whilst others are out panic buying I always enjoy a second cup of coffee here; a thought while you drink it, in a recent survey of 10.000 people the majority of people could not spell the word ‘Pinocchio’ do you think Shakespeare or Darwin could have spelt it? My favorite coffee place in beeston! Their matcha lattes are the best. Honestly have absolutely no problem spending all of my money in this cafe. It’s work and study-friendly. Great soft music. Lots of seatings and sockets. They also have an offer if you buy one of their disposable cups you get £1 off your drink every time you bring your cup with you. The downside is - it gets really cold if you’re thinking of staying here for long. So if you’ve got reynauds like me, I recommend you wear something really warm to keep your fingers and toes nice and toasty if you’re thinking of working or studying here.

Absolutely brilliant coffee house. Lovely and bright, plenty of seating, could easily push a pram in here too. Good place for a nice coffee, to work from, have a meeting or meet friends. The coffee is incredible and made perfectly. Staff are so sweet and friendly. Great place!!

Best speciality coffee house in Beeston! The roast is so delicious and the team always make a good coffee (no burnt beans or milk ever). This place has never let me down. I would highly recommend Greenhood - it’s a bonus that all the staff are super friendly and very warm and inviting! It’s nice to feel welcomed!

Discovered this gem a while back and trust me there is nowhere better for coffee and a danish. Rory is brilliant, super friendly and his "at the window" service throughout COVID was perfect. Must try the chai lattes, theyre miles better than the big chains and taste like christmas in a cup! will always be coming here :)
