The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in York Yorkshire and The Humber

Unfortunately, the cafe was not open on the day we could visit but we picked up a Cat Trail leaflet to follow one evening. It was SO enjoyable and took us all around the city. Thanks.

Absolutely spot on, £5.50 for a breakfast with a mug of tea or coffee and you can double up for £1... Best value breakfast around and all quality ingredients.

Live fairly nearby and was on my way home from a dental appointment - hadn't much noticed this place previously but popped in for some lunch. Turned out to be an absolute delight - delicious panini at a reasonable price for York. Looks like great coffee and cake too. Will be back

Visited a few times in the same week whilst visiting York to attend a training course. The bacon and sausage sandwiches were great, the hot roast pork baguettes were delicious, the hog roast sausage rolls were amazing but the star of the show for me was the Hot pastrami Toasties, they consisted of two slices of tiger bread filled with a pile of pastrami, melted mild stretchy cheese, gherkins then toasted on the hot plate until golden brown. They were absolutely out of this world they reminded me of something you’d get from a famous deli in the heart of New York City USA . They had a huge selection of Toasties and paninis and the prices were really good. Highly recommended

I would definitely recommend anyone going to York to visit Rose cafe, great food, friendly service and a great location. We will definitely be back

My twin brother Stephen and I were waiting for the train back to Leeds from York Railway Station and in the concourse was a great cafe we spotted called Coffee Time and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light, airy and modern railway station cafe,nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe,a cool place to kill time waiting for our train. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we just kicked back and went over the great day out we had just had out in York. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, a really pleasant brew. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we caught our train and for a first time visit to Coffee Time we were totally impressed. Coffee Time is easy to locate in York Railway Station. Most definitely well worth seeking out if you find yourself in this historic railway station.

visited with family after walking around the local area. excellent food and coffee. service a little slow but they were very busy. I will come back. Reading other reviewers fixation about the local insect like is almost a joke. you are surrounded by by trees and farm land so expect insects otherwise stay in the city or would you prefer the use of DDT and agent orange to sanitise your visit.

Great plant based, zero/low waste and well located coffee shop. Very tasty food, friendly staff and good coffee.

On a recent visit to York we came to Wheldrakes for breakfast after reading their great online reviews. We were definitely not disappointed. The team who greeted us at the door were extremely attentive and friendly throughout and made us feel very welcome. The food too was fantastic, I had a full English and my partner had the veggie option both of which were delicious, very well presented and nicely cooked. In particular the poached eggs were perfect. All in all it was great food and lovely friendly service from a very nice team. We will definitely return when we come back to York. Thank you

Highly recommend the 5 course cheese tasting menu. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff who introduce each cheese and wine over the course of a couple of hours, all in a cosy and chilled out setting.

I just ordered a sausage and egg sandwich from the kitchen and it was by far the best sandwich I've had in years. I don't know what sausages they were but they were amazing I'll definitely be going back.
