Llegó para un expreso rápido. Bonito ambiente moderno, un servicio decente y lo más importante un buen café expreso. Vendría de nuevo.

Excelente lugar para la buena comida y bebidas calientes se sirven calientes. El servicio era bueno, la calidad de la comida era muy buena, sabroso desayuno disfrutado por toda la familia. Sin duda un lugar para añadir a su viaje a York.

Lugar acogedor, comida deliciosa y servicio amable. No hay un gran número de mesas, así que tuvimos la suerte de conseguir un asiento para un delicioso almuerzo. Lo recomendaría. No hay wifi y señal limitada que nos encantó, pero otros pueden perderse!

Fuimos a desayunar. No hacen un inglés completo tradicional, pero teníamos deliciosos rollos de masa madre o un bagel. El menú exterior era perfectamente claro sobre lo que se ofrecía. Se habían quedado sin salchicha Cumberland, pero el tocino era precioso y también el bagel de verduras. El personal era joven y agradable y la decoración era ligera y orientada a la planta. Particularmente noté una bienvenida amable para un cliente regular. Todo se ve y se siente bastante nuevo, espero que lo haga bien y podamos volver el próximo año

Este lugar es una joyita. Excelentes pasteles, café y almuerzos, así como el personal encantador. Probamos la sopa del día en nuestra visita más reciente y no se puede pedir mejor

Un descubrimiento alegre. Mi esposa y yo estuvimos en York por un par de noches y buscando un lugar para el desayuno. Nos encontramos con un pequeño café cerca del extremo inferior de Micklegate. Una bienvenida amable de tres niñas que nos proporcionaron un excelente café, pasteles calientes y bacon recién cocinado. Silencio, incluso un sábado por la mañana. Volvimos el domingo por más de lo mismo. Gran hallazgo.

Hermoso café justo al lado de mis esteticistas, necesitaba matar a 20 minutos, vine y me recibieron tan cálida y amablemente, me preguntaron si me alojaba dentro o fuera, me alojaba dentro, me preguntaron si me gustaría un menú, me negué y pedí un café con leche de avena descafeinada con caramelo, me senté y en cuestión de minutos me sirvieron con un hermoso café con leche de avena descafeinada de caramelo, la música es canciones frías, la decoración maravillosa, 10 / 10 5 estrellas volverá!

Vine aquí para el desayuno en nuestro camino a casa de una visita a York, café era muy agradable y la comida era preciosa tenía un tocino en rollo de masa de tos era precioso y un montón de tocino, Me gustó el comentario sobre "NO WIFI" y hablar entre nosotros. Definitivamente volveremos tiempo neto alojarse en York

A small cafe on the edge of York, with extremely friendly staff and amazing food. My daughter and I had a BLT sandwich and a little piggy sandwich followed by bread and butter pudding and apple cake. Everything was so tasty and plentiful. A lovely cafe and worth the money

Found this place on a busy weekend when I was desperately looking for somewhere that wasn't already packed and have come back a few times since. The coffees are really nice, the staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lovely. I haven't tried the food yet but it always smells and looks amazing when it comes out, so I definetely will in the future. Its a shame that they close at 3, but understandable as they open quite early, that being said, I am very happy I found this place and will keep coming back.

We happened upon this cafe and were absolutely thrilled with the food, service and prices. There wasn't much of a wait for the food. They catered really well for my friend who is a coeliac and has food intolerances. Nothing was too much trouble. We're definitely going back.

Delicious fresh food and lovely welcome. Tried the Salmon & Cream Cheese on Sourdough and the BLT with a decaf coffee and a Chai Latte. Everything was perfectly fresh and a decent portion and the drinks were hot and a generous size. Will visit again tomorrow probably!

lovely little cafe, we had a bacon roll in a sour dough roll and it was excellent, perfectly cooked (crispy bacon) my favourite, staff were pleasant, nice clean surroundings, would visit again

Dropped in for a spot of late breakfast. Nice ambience with some background music The best sourdough bacon rolls , an Eccles cake I’m looking forward to munching through and great service from the team Highly recommended if you are in York.

This café offers great music, friendly and presentable staff, alongside excellent coffee. The decor inside is modern and provides a feeling of warmth.

Great bacon sourdough bap. Asked for the bacon to be well done and it was. One of the best bacon baps I have had in a long time. Staff were lovely and friendly. Really enjoyed our visit.

Gorgeous sourdough bacon roll with generous serving of good quality bacon cooked really nicely. Lovely smoothy. Service was lovely. When our order was very slightly mixed up, they fixed it up without any hassle at all. Would definitely recommend and return again when next in York.

I had a very positive experience of visiting a Cafe 42. The service that was provided was amazing and Jess was very friendly and helpful. What I also liked was the atmosphere of the cafe. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and I will come back!

From the start the welcome we got was amazing. Nothing was too much. The Breakfast smoothy was excellent, also the coffee was great. An excellent find and just a few minutes from the Travelodge.

Good honest simple little Cafe We went for bacon rolls for breakfast, along with coffee. The sausage roll had plenty of filling. The bacon and sausage roll was even better with lots of crispy bacon and a good helping of sausage If you after a simple snack and drink it's a winner

Lovely little place on Micklegate. Great to sit in the window and people watch. Fab smoothie and best bacon buttie ever!

We visited first for morning drinks then later on the same day for a late lunch. We found the three young ladies serving very pleasant and obliging. Drinks were excellent, and our (vegetarian) paninis were very enjoyable. The location on Micklegate was very convenient for us staying at the nearby Travelodge.

Ordered bacon roll and chai latte. WoW - never had so much perfectly cooked bacon in a sourdough roll ½ a pig I think. Absolutely lovely. Cheerful staff and sensible price.

Visited for breakfast and was surprised by the excellent quality and reasonable prices. 2 drinks a bap and a croissant for less than a tenner! Great value. Hopefully they’ll do well

Called in on a Sunday morning …. For a much needed brew. I’m not a York resident but am getting to know the city after multiple trips….. and this is my best find. The house coffee blend is excellent, strong enough but not bitter, a little spicy with the inclusion of beans from Vietnam. We also had an excellent sourdough bun with sausage …. yes, heated on a grill - but wrapped in grease proof paper & handled with tongs (no issues here). Non cow milk options available. Staff were great … friendly & informative.

The coffee was amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. I had an interview to prepare for on my time off from work and chose to work from this spot. They have booths which are suitable for work and or study and the staff will ask if you every so often if you'd like any food or drink all of which is greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to work or study, grab a coffee to go or have a bite to eat.

Saw an advert for ‘sausage + bacon sourdough bap with hot drink for £4.50’ in the window which enticed us in for a quick breakfast stop. Once inside it turns out the offer is actually sausage OR bacon. Still ok value and I like to...

Just a quick mocha and pain au chocolate in very pleasant setting and friendly service. Working space out the back if you need to do stuff.

A great find. Felt like any good European coffee shop and exactly what we wanted for breakfast. Small, simple and the staff clearly love their business. Why go to a boring same-old chain and fill the world with more unrecycleable cups when a spotless authentic...

Very friendly staff, good drinks, love the decor and plenty of seating. Only thing that let it down was the lack of choice of food. Paninis or cake are the only options and around 4-7 panini fillings depending on what has defrosted at the time....

Waited in line to order a couple of coffees and watched chirpy locals order with smiles and pleasantries directed at the “barista”. She responded like a 13 year old moody teenager at a family get together that can’t wait to get onto snap chat to...

This place has it all, great staff, amazing coffee, a brilliant location and even better value for money co-working spaces which we enjoyed using a couple of times, would highly recommend.

A chance encounter as we had just arrived on a day out and needed our morning coffee. Our americanos were delicious as was the pecan slice. Another customer also raved about his Cappuccino. The cafe is tiny as it fronts a "office/desk .rental " space....
