The Kitchen Osbaldwick in York

I work on the road and this is a perfect place to get some good food and be able to work. Loads of sockets. Coffee is really nice and the food quality is brilliant for the price I would go out my way to go hear when in the area again

A bit pricier than other breakfast places but the quality and flavour is well worth it! 🙌

Lovely little cafe. Friendly staff and super food. Because I live far away, two hour drive,unlikely I'll ever return, but if I was local, definitely would.

Best hot sandwich I’ve had in a long time taste sensation

The chips just taste of old cooking oil and the BLT was lacking any real flavor. Sorry.

Lovely for a mid-morning bacon, egg, sausage etc sandwich, and a nice coffee. Staff are friendly and nothing too much trouble.

Lovely place with nice indoor seating and a nice outdoor terrace. The staff is very kind and accommodating, making sure to place the chia seeds and honey in two separate pots for me. The main menu has lots of choices, and they always have a few interesting specials. Smoothies are great, as are the hot drinks. The poached eggs are also great!

I just ordered a sausage and egg sandwich from the kitchen and it was by far the best sandwich I've had in years. I don't know what sausages they were but they were amazing I'll definitely be going back.

Didn't get my sandwich ordered 3 and only to came and cost £20 won't order again shocking

Used to be excellent but quality is going down hill. Undercooked bacon even though I requested well done. Not worth the money anymore sadly

If I could rate no stars I would, bacon under cooked, egg over cooked and a smoothie that spilt all over the delivery drivers bag.

Quite cosy and small, but I love the aesthetic of this cafe! Had brunch here the other day with a friend and the food was perfect. My only criticism is that the buttered toast had far too much butter on it, so I couldn’t eat it.

A lovely place found it by chance didn't have food but what came out looked good . Friendly staff all with a big smile. The place itself was very clean and lovely clean toilets also has seating outside. So popped in for a coffee and coffee was nice so if I'm passing again I'll have some food .

The kitchen Osbaldwick is my favourite breakfast/ lunch eatery without a doubt, the staff are so warm and welcoming and just the general ambience of the place is very chilled and relaxed. My go to has to be the kitchen club sandwich or the fruity granola bowl both absolutely beautiful. Must say since the renovation, the new outside terrace part now is such a nice added touch especially in summer sat outside there watching the world go by with one of there iconic smoothies absolute bliss .

This place has been a breath of fresh air since opening in york. The service is always outstanding and the cafe has a real family feel to it. The food is unbelievable and since the re-furb and the addition of the milkshakes we can't keep away. Would reccomend to anyone.

Forget Robinsons, the kitchen for me is the best, for a warm welcome and great food at very reasonable prices and parking close by it’s our fave cafe in York! Kitchen bagel is absolutely unreal and the club sandwich not far behind followed by a bake for afters !

The food was exceptional , and the friendly staff make it a pleasure to go in! The recent refurbishment provides a great atmosphere to sit and enjoy! Will be making this a regular stop from now on, keep up the great work!

I drove up from just outside London early this morning to a factory close to The Kitchen. The cleanliness is what hits you first. This cafe is impeccably clean. The breakfast certainly hit the right spot. And the service matched it. Well done ladies.

Came here for a breakfast after checking out Google maps for a local cafe near to the Black Bull on Hull Road. It was also a good opportunity to check out the area again, having attended the local primary school as a nipper. We were greeted by staff cheerfully and served promptly, despite the kitchen cooking for a photographer taking photos of the food for their online presences. Food was delicious, decent quality and a fair quantity for the price. The cafe is small and did feel a bit crowded as it got busier, but that wasn't an issue persay. The only issue encountered was parking but it's evident this has become a problem as cars have gotten bigger as the car park was full of vans and 4x4s, but would have easily managed lots of smaller cars. Overall? A wonderful little cafe for a decent breakfast served with a smile. Definitely recommend.

The kitchen is a lovely place to go if you’re wanting some delicious food and a great atmosphere! The food is unreal and there is always great specials on the board to choose from! Very friendly staff, all round great experience.

Hands down the best cafe in York! Such a nice environment away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city centre too. Food is 10/10 and the service is also top. Regularly order online for delivery and always receive food on time and as good as in house.

Great place to come for breakfast and other times too. Nice cosy atmosphere. Food is always lovely and fresh. Staff are friendly and work well as a team. Premises are kept to a very clean standard. Highly recommend.

By Far the best kitchen place in york, lived here 22 years and never had a better sandwich. My Mrs’ had the full English and they were the BEST hash browns we’ve ever had. Proper grub and the staff were absolutely class! Lovely place for family, friends, on your own or going to get a coffee while doing work!

Great breakfast and not just the usual full English breakfast, very friendly, helpful staff and willing to adapt to dietary needs. Food was delicious all freshly cooked. Would highly recommend.

They accepted my order, then repeatedly changed the expected delivery time. After informing me that my items were on the way, they then cancelled the order. Two hours after accepting the order. Busy day at work, their inefficiency meant I went without lunch when they should have declined the order if they couldn't fulfil it. Or perhaps they could have show enough common curtesy to make contact. Things happen, ignoring customers who have paid is poor business sense. Rude.

Can’t review something that never showed up! Called the cafe twice, said driver was on the way and then after half hour of waiting (after order had said delivered) the cafe said I’d have to go through just eat for refund / re order. Not very helpful. Put in a request for a refund with just eat. Hate leaving bad reviews but this was a complete waste of time

The staff are always friendly here, the food is great, and it's really good value. There's a good range of food available, and you can taste how fresh it is too.

I was out of town with work and found this suberb café, so glad I did as the food was outstanding and the service was 5 star. I had my meal and coffee in hand within 5 minutes. Unique setup with proper cooked healthy meals. Thank you.

This is my local and I use it far too often for my waistline! The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and the menu is great. They go over and beyond to make sure you have a lovely tasty meal,snack or even just a coffee. Thanks so much 🤩

The food was absolutely amazing. My husband’s steak flatbread was with perfectly cooked and my chicken wrap was delicious. I called our order in at the last moment as another cafe on JUST EAT cancelled as there was no drivers. The employee was lovely, wrote down the changes I needed and then asked me to put it through JUST EAT to get it delivered. We will DEFINITELY be ordering again. Thanks so much
