Just fabulous. There really isnt anything that can be said other than 'wow'. The cakes are just amazing and the hospitality is 100%. There are few businesses that get hosting so right that you feel truly welcome in such a way that you feel like friends. The guys are just extremely nice people who are passionate about what they do and the community around them. We asked for a cheesecake to be made for us for a special event and we were delighted to be told yes- our 14 guests loves our white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake so much that they all will be visiting you as new guests! Thank you also for making our doggies so welcome!

Low prizes, a tasty and wide variety of chocolate (flavours, drinks, sweets). The staff is very polite and kind. Definitely five stars! 🥰

Went to meet my mam for a coffee and the gentleman behind the counter spoke to us and have a bit of a chat. I had a trapped nerve and he offered a paracetamol to help with the pain and as always the coffee is fantastic. Always a great place to visit.

Wow, absolutely blown away by this hidden gem! Me and my Mam came for drinks here on Friday and loved it so much we came back Saturday for lunch! The wine is absolutely beautiful, the food is so fresh and the staff are just incredible. Definitely my new favourite spot in York, can’t wait to return!

Unfortunately, the cafe was not open on the day we could visit but we picked up a Cat Trail leaflet to follow one evening. It was SO enjoyable and took us all around the city. Thanks.

On a recent visit to York we came to Wheldrakes for breakfast after reading their great online reviews. We were definitely not disappointed. The team who greeted us at the door were extremely attentive and friendly throughout and made us feel very welcome. The food too was fantastic, I had a full English and my partner had the veggie option both of which were delicious, very well presented and nicely cooked. In particular the poached eggs were perfect. All in all it was great food and lovely friendly service from a very nice team. We will definitely return when we come back to York. Thank you

Highly recommend the 5 course cheese tasting menu. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff who introduce each cheese and wine over the course of a couple of hours, all in a cosy and chilled out setting.

Good vibes!! Really cute cafe with good food and really friendly service. Had the bacon, brie and cranberry toastie which was lush and huge!! Will definitely be coming back! Xx

Just looking for a nice Quite Drink and small plates found a little piece of heaven, so relaxing and really attentive staff. The Cocktails 🍸 as they sould be flavoursome and a kick and the Bacardi and coke on ice a dream oh and the Tequila rose shots went down a treat great way to end the evening ps and the food was great

Dropped the car off for updates, had Woody with us, so off dogging around York. Found Trio, looked inviting and dog friendly, so popped in. Great choice of tempting treats, staff were really great. Sat outside in the autumn sun and enjoyed coffee and a croissant. Perfect start to 10,000 steps around York.

A hidden gem which I recommend you to find! Lovely cosy atmosphere with charming staff. Coffee delicious as is the great Danishes! Will be going back. They have breakfast,lunch & cakes!

Great find good quality food with delightful service. Whilst there is a limited menu choice it was well prepared and perhaps the most reasonable cost anywhere in York. Good find close to car park and St Johns University.
