Been multiple times as a vegan with non-vegan friends who always agree it's amazing! The lotus brownies are honestly heaven, 100% recommend.

I strongly recommend that you give this place a try. It is in a great location directly opposite Huddersfield Town Hall. Food and drinks are very good and at an unbeatable price. The interior is very pleasant and the service excellent. My hot main meal was prepared to order, and very enjoyable.They are clearly very aware as to the needs of vegan/vegetarian/gluten free diners. It is a great place for a working lunch or shopping trip, or to meet friends or for business. The place is a great credit to the managers and staff, operating as a charity and offering a wide range of services for community benefit.

I have been coming here for years and will never go anywhere else for my full English. The veggie sausages are my favourite and the staff here are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Overall, great atmosphere, good vibes and good food! Ps. you're in for a treat if Sherrelle is working, excellent customer service!

Good coffee (Iced hazelnut oat milk latte)

We went to Lost Property Café for a private function early one evening. The room size perfect which gave the whole party a lovely atmosphere and the food was sensational. The staff made everybody feel very welcome and relaxed. It was the perfect venue for this intimate family gathering. We have since been back several times for lunch to the Lost Property Café and every time it’s been a very enjoyable experience.

Called in here this afternoon for a quick coffee! The coffee was lovely and the strawberry flapjack delicious. The lady working there was very pleasant too. Would definitely recommend and return !

Not a review I wanted to leave. I regularly go to the one in holmfirth and sometime order takeaway from this one. It's been slowly declining and has now reached rediculos levels I ordered a chicken burger side of coleslaw and a side of onion rings. The burger which is described as double stacked with butter milk fried chicken brest but it turned up with one small chicken tender in a large bun. Please see the photos of whats on the menu v what arrived. Onion rings were doughie undercooked and compleatly unseasoned and anemic looking and half the previous portion size Coleslaw was again compleatly unseasoned and the portion size has been cut in half Called the resturant who were appologetic and advised they could do nothing as was ordered through just eat I asked if a replacement could be sent out and was told I'd have to order another one trough just eat and apply for a refund on the first one. I said politely that it was unfortunate as a regular customer that no effort was being made and that I probably wouldn't be ordering again The conversation ended there without any effort to make anything better from the resturant just lists of what they can't do. Got off the phone took one bite and realised the chicken was so over cooked it was compleatly dry and the bun was stale Chucked the lot in the bin and am now £22 quid lighter and contemplating what to cook which was what I was trying to avoid on my day off The fries were quite nice but very greasy Cheers Harvey's won't be rushing back lol

The environment is comfortable, the staff are friendly, and the food quality is quite good.

Love this place! Consistently fantastic. Exceptionally good quality fresh food, amazing coffee- the chocolate orange mocha is the best! Always a warm welcome from the staff and you can tell they really care about the business which is often rare to find. Good value for money.

Met my friend here for lunch, nice coffee, ordered a sandwich each with fries and a cake. The bread was lovely but very disappointed with the "roast beef" it was more like thin supermarket processed beef. Will be going back to my local farm shop for their roast beef sandwiches. Cake ok but dry.

Always really super welcoming. Great choice of lovely food and always have alternative milk products. Great cosy atmosphere. Very retro. Love it

Always a pleasure visiting here. Great range of soups and reasonably priced coffee £2 or pot of tea £1.60 (Dec '18). The staff are friendly and there's a outdoor seating area which in summer is a real sun trap.

A superb station buffet run by lovely, friendly folk, serving a range of snacks, drinks, and incredibly tasty, and freshly prepared, breakfast sandwiches. A wonderful start to your day!

I visited this venue for the first time yesterday to watch REM by Stipe with my husband and son. This is an over 18 venue and my son forgot to bring his ID! Rather than turning him away the lady on the door (I think the owner) sorted this out straight away by giving him a wristband so he couldn’t be served at the bar rather than him having to go home as we had travelled from Leeds which was perfect. We then had a great night and will definitely be returning. Thank you Smile Bar and Venue.
