fantastic food would go again for sure ,we did find the table up the steps to the left a bit dingy we had to use torch on phone to read menu

First visit here Lovely friendy atmosphere and lovely building The Two stars are for the lovely staff and the coffee. However the salad and bruschetta were awful 😣 The Salad stated it had avocado and celery which it didn’t, but had radish in it which it shouldn’t have . We sat across from the kitchen and could see inside unfortunately. The lady had no gloves on and tore up the up the ham and I know there is no legal requirement to wear gloves although common sense would seemingly be appropriate especially when she drizzled the salad with a dressing and dug her hands to the bottom of the dish and proceeded to mix it in ! Now anyone knows that rings harbour both dirt and germs so that was an appalling thing to do ! The bruschetta looked delicious but tasted soapy for some reason?? We did try it but had to leave the whole meal . We will definitely be back for the coffee and the staff there are lovely but next time it will be a drink and traybake !

Nice staff, lovely food but ridiculously overpriced. I appreciate this is a touristic place and therefore prices will be hiked up a little, but that was over the top. Almost £4 for a slice of cake ?!

First time I’ve been here and it didn’t disappoint. It was such a good latte. Lovely staff and omg the decor is unbelievable. Will visit again for sure. Thank you so much Rand🤎

I have eaten at Clark's for over 25 years but now I will never eat here again. I am sick to death of the staff being rude and lazy thus resulting in poor hygiene and poor food. I ordered a chicken tikka Jacket potato with salad. I was told they had no salad except cucumber and tomato. When I got into my vehicle and opened the box I had the smallest jacket potato ever that was so cold it hadn't even begun to melt the butter or cheese, 3 pieces of cucumber and a bit of soggy tomato. Disgusting! I went back in to get my money back and saw staff cutting up lettice. So clearly the woman who told me no salad couldn't be bothered to chop it. The staff are rude and snappy, it's a hassle to serve you. The whole place is grimy so Im not suprised by how low their hygiene rating is. I've also rung up to order food to collect and been told that they don't do that (an omlette) when I've been ordering it for the last few years. They just can't be bothered to do it. Avoid if you want nice food and nice service.

I got a Tuna Mayo bagel, which was listed as having tuna mayo and salad in it. But, when I got home and unwrapped it has just Tuna Mayo with no salad. £4.99 is a lot to pay for that in my opinion.

Have passed this place several times over the past few months, and it's clearly closed. A shame because it was popular and well reviewed. I never got to try it!

Friends look forward to visiting me as i always take them to Connie's, and often call for breakfast, passing three other cafes on the way

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience in this cafe. The service was not up to the required level and the welcome was not good at the reception. I hope you will re-emerge the worker you have there. Thank you.

I came here with mam for a cuppa, though partly because another place up the street had closed - at half 2! This is a nice little place with disabled access and a mixed toilet, which I didn't have an issue with. They had just stopped serving food when we got there but we weren't hungry anyway after a cooked breakfast at Mainsgill on the A66.

Didn’t visit the restaurant but went to the amazing adventure playground which is just across. Great for the kids to explore and make dens and use their imaginations. There is a zip line and loads of balance beams and slides for the kids to explore. Parking is free

Four of us had a fantastic evening meal in this lovely pub. The landlord was brilliant and extremely welcoming along with the young lady who served our food. Will we be back. most definitely. 5 stars. 👍
