Friends look forward to visiting me as i always take them to Connie's, and often call for breakfast, passing three other cafes on the way

My wife and I called in a few times during the day while waiting for some car repairs in Horbury and the staff were friendly, the service was quick and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. It's a traditional transport style cafe and nothing fancy or trendy but a good range of hot and cold food, which was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend a visit for anyone in the area.

It is a transport cafe so you get what you pay for, if fry ups are what you like then it is fry ups you get, the other meals once again are transport cafe favourites, it does what it says, if you want lobster bisque and fine dining you won;t get it here, but it is not catering for that market. Scania and Volvo lorries Ford Transit vans is what you will see in the parking area not Beemers and Mercs. Daily Mirror and The Sun on the tables to read, not The Times crossword. You get what you pay for, and what you pay for is what you get

Average breakfast, but the one thing that really put me off ever going back again was the tops of the sauce bottles on all the tables they were awful , thick hard sauce , they are obviously not cleaned regularly, would only take a matter of minutes to keep them clean,

Call here when i'm in the area for a bacon and egg butty.. Always busy and you can eat in or outside..Plenty of choice and next to petrol station and cash machine so you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

not the best breakfast i've had, lots of tomato juice on the plate and an almost cooked egg. The staff are more interested in talking to each other, it would seem, than whose ordering.

Have eaten here twice and both times have been surprised at the poor quality of the food and the cooking, there really is no excuse for serving a bad breakfast, its not rocket science and the service is nothing to write home about either. I would not eat here again for free.

A very dated place, but a great place if you like listening to the staff bitch about homeless people and how the police don’t do anything about them. “Go get a bloody job, and work like I’ve had to do all my life”. All whilst sitting in the customers dining area! Now don’t get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there is a time and place, and this wasn’t it. Go to jollies or the last bank over the road. Coffee was nice though.

Best caramel latte's in the area, food is very fresh and extremely tasty. My favourite thing about The Vie is the staff and the owner, they are excellent! 😍 Just returned home after the evening bistro, and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent but as always the staff were the best part of the experience. 💯 % 🔥 If you haven't been yet, you're missing out! 😁😊👍🍰☕

I am more than happy to sing the praises of this consumately professional Castleford venue. This place is old school and right up my street. I've only just become a regular but for me there is nowhere else when I'm in Castleford. The whole place is put together with love and it must have taken quite some time. It's a real homely 60's throwback and none the worse for that. No wifi and cash only and that is how it should be. Long may it continue. I never had a bad coffee/tea/grub there yet. The staff are perfectly ok. The staff are focused and professional so don't engage them in conversation when they are busy. Easy as that. This cafe has the air of an American diner about it and it's like being on route 66 (yes I have been there). I could easily imagine KC's with a lovely old Wurlitzer juke box in there and I promise when I win the lottery I will buy them one. They provide a good local service with CD/DVD sales for a local charity and deals for the bus crews in the station next door. 10/10 for community values. As the faceless corporates destroy more and more high streets places like KC's are gold dust and should be fully supported. One minor request please. A little more variety in the otherwise superb music. Maybe the Shadows? All the best then from Graham (The cockney in Aussie bush hat). Keep doing what you're doing ladies. Simply the best and happy birthday to schhh...you know who. Best Respects to all.
