Visited for breakfast, coffee was lovely as always. Cinnamon swirl was fresh and really nice. Staff member was polite and the seating area was very clean

A regular haunt as the coffee is better than the usual Costa/Starbucks. Loyalty app is pretty good and seems to reward quite regularly (maybe that says something about how much coffee I drink). Definitely worth downloading. Efforts are ok regards Covid preparation. Only thing that lets it down is it’s in Wakefield where the locals either can’t read or don’t give a toss about anyone else...the outside tables have a ‘no smoking’ area to help people to socially isolate. There’s a couple of ‘Karens’ smoking in this area currently who obviously couldn’t give a cr*p. (It’s written in big letters in the middle of the tables). To be fair, ‘smoking’ is a long word for them, compared to ‘left’ and ‘right’ which a lot of the other locals seem to have trouble with when walking in the marked up areas. In summary, decent coffee place.

I ordered my drink and was asked if I would like cream which I politely declined. It was presented to with cream. I reminded the person serving me of the fact I didn’t want cream She retorted in a very rude manner but you said yes to cream, She flounced around, the atmosphere could have been cut with a knife. If she doesn’t like her job don’t do it or improve your attitude!

The food selection has definitely got better over the last few weeks, and hopefully this isn’t just because of Christmas. Coffee is always good. Cleanliness is still a bit hit and miss but only if you look at details, so nothing too bad. Wish the seating was better though but will definitely go again.

They have recently stopped covering the food selection and this has definitely stopped me buying anything. It’s the middle of the summer so flies are all over the place and having a good munch on the food before you get it on your plate. I mentioned this to one of the staff as I had noticed a number of flies on the pastries but they said the have been told to not use the plastic covers anymore so couldn’t do anything about it. Love the coffee here but will definitely not be eating.

Lovely coffee and the food is okay, however the selection isn’t as good as some others. BUT, although we went about 30 minutes after opening on a Sunday morning, the floor was filthy with bits of food all over. The chairs were also covered in bits of food. It was obvious that someone had ‘pretended’ to clean the night before. The huge pile of sugar bags on the floor under the unit where the cold water and sugars are held is getting bigger by the day. If this is what it’s like where customers are, what’s it like in the rest of the cafe.

Great food and as in any Nero, great drinks. New range of sandwiches are particularly tasty. Also very clean cafe in such a busy area

I have visited Cafe Nero on a regular basis ever since it moved to Trinity Walk. The staff are amazing here, and they "make" the place the best coffee shop in Wakefield. The coffee is excellent too, and I know that's what they pride themselves on. It's so nice to be greeted with such a friendly smile & greeting, regardless of how busy they are. It's a shame the space isn't a little bit bigger, as it's always so busy here - I think people know just how good it is.

Called in for coffee whilst shopping and I was very surprised by how filthy this place was for such a well known chain. It's obvious that there isn't a proper cleaning regime, old crumbs and debris on the floor, at the sides of cushions, on the skirting boards. I noticed they didn't display their cleanliness score on the door, presumably they only score a 2 or 3. Staff very helpful and the coffee was good.

A nice coffee shop, always busy and the staff are friendly. Good warm coffee as expected. Thanks. I've just been to gym and would like a nibble but to be healthy there's nothing like fruit or yogurts or even just down nuts. But that's just my thoughts. Go visit and sit in and enjoy the rustic charms whilst you watch the world go by

We were in early on Sunday morning before we started working at the Rhubarb Festival. We had 2 drinks and two almond croissants to take away. The staff could not have been more polite, helpfu and chatty. Despite being a national chain they were 100% behind supporting the local festival and all those who it attracted to Wakefield over the weekend. The staff were an asset to Nerro.

Get real.

I've been coming here on numerous occasions but my experience here has been spoiled by the most incredibly rude staff that I have ever come across. Get your attitude sorted you only work in coffee shop!

It can become very busy at times and the staff remain pleasant and helpful. We generally visit two or three times a week. The excellent coffee they serve helps things along as well. Snacks and cakes etc very good. Highly recommend this outlet.

We visited the Wakefield, Yorkshire branch of Cafe Nero 2 days ago, on the afternoon of Tuesday 13 January and the atmosphere and service were excellent. The young man who served us – I didn’t get his name, unfortunately – was not only extremely pleasant but so willing to please, and took great care to ensure that we were enjoying what we had bought and that everything was to our satisfaction. He is a credit to his employers and so was his colleague, a young lady whose demeanour was also most pleasant. The premises are bright, cheerful and pleasant in every way and the seating most comfortable. The coffee and food we bought were of impeccable quality and while the Cafe Nero brand is good all over, this branch must surely stand out as the best.

Visited the Singing Chocker on a Friday night, In spite of being Busy Paula went to trouble of finding us a table that suited us. We ordered food and drink at bar and didn't have to wait too long before meals arrived. We were waited on by Kerry who got everything right ,made sure we had correct cutlery and sauces napkins etc. Food was good and Kerry called back to see if it was to our liking. The place is bright with good staff and Atmosphere. We visit quite often and have booked for Christmas day Thank you Paula and Kerry for good experience See you soon Mike Brown

A very dated place, but a great place if you like listening to the staff bitch about homeless people and how the police don’t do anything about them. “Go get a bloody job, and work like I’ve had to do all my life”. All whilst sitting in the customers dining area! Now don’t get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there is a time and place, and this wasn’t it. Go to jollies or the last bank over the road. Coffee was nice though.

Best caramel latte's in the area, food is very fresh and extremely tasty. My favourite thing about The Vie is the staff and the owner, they are excellent! 😍 Just returned home after the evening bistro, and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent but as always the staff were the best part of the experience. 💯 % 🔥 If you haven't been yet, you're missing out! 😁😊👍🍰☕

I am more than happy to sing the praises of this consumately professional Castleford venue. This place is old school and right up my street. I've only just become a regular but for me there is nowhere else when I'm in Castleford. The whole place is put together with love and it must have taken quite some time. It's a real homely 60's throwback and none the worse for that. No wifi and cash only and that is how it should be. Long may it continue. I never had a bad coffee/tea/grub there yet. The staff are perfectly ok. The staff are focused and professional so don't engage them in conversation when they are busy. Easy as that. This cafe has the air of an American diner about it and it's like being on route 66 (yes I have been there). I could easily imagine KC's with a lovely old Wurlitzer juke box in there and I promise when I win the lottery I will buy them one. They provide a good local service with CD/DVD sales for a local charity and deals for the bus crews in the station next door. 10/10 for community values. As the faceless corporates destroy more and more high streets places like KC's are gold dust and should be fully supported. One minor request please. A little more variety in the otherwise superb music. Maybe the Shadows? All the best then from Graham (The cockney in Aussie bush hat). Keep doing what you're doing ladies. Simply the best and happy birthday to schhh...you know who. Best Respects to all.
