A wonderful bakery & cafe with helpful & team behind the counter making excellent coffee. The signature dish has to be the sausage roll which was incredibly tasty, meaty, savoury and all together scrumptious. There are plenty of other tempting options; sadly my wife was with me!

Good home cooked food and plenty of it. Prices are very reasonable and the beer was excellent. Pity I was driving or would have had another few pints! I chose the turkey and ham pice which was very tasty loads of succulent turkey and great gravy.

We came with friends as we had all been gifted afternoon tea, and chose to visit this tearoom. We booked just over a week in advance. What a great choice! A great selection of beautifully fresh finger sandwiches, scones, cream and jam. and a selection of small cakes, which were so light. Absolutely scrumptious. We weren't rushed, so we could sit and enjoy our food. The folk working in the tearoom were very welcoming and we had a delightful afternoon. Thank you!

Have visited this Tea Room on a couple of occasions en route to Cornwall. The food is delicious & generous in size. Excellent value & quality. It’s always our first choice of a stop off when leaving Sussex for Cornwall & vice versa. Highly recommend

My family eat here regularly because it’s so good. The pub itself is attractive with interesting features. We’ve never eaten a meal here that we’ve not all enjoyed & the service is excellent with friendly & attentive staff. We recently went there for their carvery, I don’t eat meat so the chef cooked vegetarian sausages to go with the vegetables. The choice of vegetables was excellent with probably the best roast potatoes ever had anywhere!

Two visits over the last few days. Pleasant staff, decent beer and nice atmosphere but nowhere to sit - the first time all the tables in the pub were reserved for a quiz, the second time it was lad out, theatre-style, for the rugby. We cleared off to The Volunteer.

The food looks excellent here but unfortunately I never got to try it. I went in late morning for a coffee and a snack and chose a croque monsieur from the menu. I then took a table and waited. The coffee arrived after ten minutes and cutlery was placed on the table, suggesting that the main course was about to follow. Not a bit of it. I waited a further twenty minutes and having lost my patience, went to the counter to ask what had happened to my croque monsieur. My order had evidently been completely overlooked. I offered to pay for the coffee but they waived the charge, which I felt was the least they could do and apologies were forthcoming. However, I left the wine bar feeling disappointed and angry and I think that simply to overlook a customer's order was unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not be going back.

My husband and I visited for Sunday lunch whilst staying in Lyme Regis on holiday. From the moment we arrived we (including our dog) were made to feel at home. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable and the interior stylish yet welcoming. The Sunday lunch menu is not extensive a handful of starters, a choice of either meat or vegetarian main and a choice of 3 desserts but as long as you are not fussy you are in for a treat as the food is all locally sourced and beautifully cooked. We paid £25 each for our main and desert which I think was excellent value.
