Small & quite quirky cafe with lovely friendly staff. Stopped en route from short break in Devon & glad I chose this cafe for a cream tea. Huge fresh scone with a very generous helping of cream. Delicious thank you! (Cakes also looked yummy.

Lovely find in the middle of Bridport. A wonderful selection of cakes compliment a decent cafe style menu. Clean, comfortable and friendly, even the light shades are upside down cups and saucers, adding to the overall ambience. The only down side was a very wobbly toilet seat. Other than that, an excellent tea room.

We always try to go in independents rather than chains and Moore Than Tea was a great find. Very friendly staff and delicious food. I had a chicken and sun dried tomato toastie and my husband had a New York deli toastie. Both were excellent. The cakes looked scrumptious but we were too full up of toastie to indulge! We will definitely go in again if we are in the area.

A nice place, with a very good position on the main thoroughfare, slightly quirky interior decor and a decent brew to refresh on a chilly November morning. But the question remains, is “Moore” an intentional spelling mistake, or the name of the owners? Major Credit Cards are accepted.

We walked from West Bay, via Eype into Bridport early one morning. Looking for somewhere for breakfast I got my phone out to peruse the reviews on Trip Advisor. Much to my horror, my wife said, “put your phone away, let’s just go in this one!” Her instinct was spot on! A friendly welcome and a charming interior boded well. It was quite busy- a good sign. We ordered hot drinks and Full English breakfast. Unusually, the breakfast followed the hot drinks soon enough that both could be enjoyed together ( a rare thing and very appreciated!) Couldn’t fault the breakfast at all, it was perfect. I also enviously gazed at the pancakes(?) ordered by the next table. The staff/owner found a few minutes to have a chat despite being busy, which was nice. Toilet clean too. All in all a very pleasant experience and an establishment I would recommend… if you stop to read the reviews that is!

We visited Time for Tea on 7 September, so as you can see, it’s taken me forever to post my review. However, I feel that the fact that I am still writing this after so many weeks have passed, speaks volumes about our experience! Customer service was excellent, as was the coffee. The homemade cakes were served in very generous slices and the coffee and walnut cake was totally amazing. Next time I’m in Bridport, this lovely cafe will definitely be my first port of call!

Popped in here for a late afternoon snack - we had already been to West Bay and then spent the afternoon on Bridport High Street and just needed a small 'something' to tide us over until supper. We had between us a variety of sandwiches and a few hot drinks. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh - full of whichever filling we had chosen. The drinks were equally good - my Mum especially enjoyed her tea which was hot and strong - with an extra jug of hot water to top up the pot - friendly staff - good service. I think we caught them close to closing time to be honest - but there was no rush to get us out - we enjoyed a nice relaxed time and enjoyed/soaked up the writing on the walls.

A tea shop that you eat with your eyes as you gaze upon the delightful array of choice spread before you in the glass counter and staff to compliment the atmosphere with humour and friendliness mismatched, aeclectic vintage setting and the food and refreshment was local and some maybe homemade well that's how it ticked the taste buds...twice we visited in the same week and both times it agreed with us as a family...

There are more cosily appointed tea rooms - but then they are just eat in, not also take away, which always creates a 'sitting in the back' feel. But I enjoyed a lovely cream tea with freshly baked scone and generous portions of jam and cream, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for the friendly welcome. We arrived quite late in the day, having found several other places closed, and they could not have been more kind and accommodating, above and beyond the call of duty. (If you are, reading this, MTT, thank you!)

I'd not tried this café before, so thought I should. Sadly, I won't be going back in a hurry. The service was friendly but appeared quite disorganised. I asked if I could have a cheese and ham toasty and was told they did ham and cheese; I hope this was an attempt at humour, but doubt it. On the plus side, a toasted panini was suggested, which sounded good, plus a cappuccino. when it eventually arrived, the cappuccino was probably the most disappointing I've had in Bridport; the only good point was the temperature, otherwise the coffee itself was weak and/or lacking flavour. The foam was thin and, quite, frankly, looked more like that produced from a sachet. The toasted panini was also disappointing: the ham was clearly that processed / reconstituted type and lacking flavour and consistency; the cheese tasted average supermarket fare. The panini itself was quite nice, though. If you're looking for good flavours, there are other places nearby who pride themselves on good (usually local) ingredients and flavoursome food and drinks. If all you want is to take on fuel, then this place will work for you. If you want a delicious snack/meal, don't bother.

Visited Bridport and popped into this delightful cafe whilst dog and child free! Lured in by a mouthwatering selection of fresh cakes and cheesecakes displayed in the window, we found a cheerful, welcoming interior completed by signed Johnny Wilkinson photos, perfect for my Rugby mad husband! We had a quick lunch here whilst exploring Bridport. The staff were charming and helpful and, on a very hot day, it was lovely to be able to sit inside and enjoy a cool breeze from an open side door. We both ate different quiches and pronounced them tasty and well cooked, washed down with good juices and an excellent coffee - what moore could one wish for at lunch time. The proprietor started her life in catering with a grant from the Princes Trust - what an excellent investment that organisation made in her.

When me and my wife fancied a cream tea we decided to try this place. When ordering the cream tea we were asked if we would like a drink with it which we both found odd seeing as a cream tea generally comes with a pot of tea. We sat down and waited for our cream teas to be delivered to the table and when they came, much to our disappointment, the cream and jam had already been put on the scones for us! Part of the enjoyment of having a cream tea is putting the toppings on yourself in the specific order that you respectively have them. This may seem like a petty thing to complain about but it really annoyed both me and my wife. The experience was only made worse by the mediocre tea and awful décor of the café. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Having visited Bridport when on holiday for many years, it was such a welcome surprise to find a new tea room that we had not yet tried. We did think about sitting outside but were unable to find a seat - due to the popularity with families with young children - a lovely sight to see in this day and age. Fortunately for us, someone had just vacated an area at the rear of the shop - and we are so glad that they did! The decor was well thought out and impressive, plenty of light and lots of lovely things on the walls, including the well deserved recognition of the owner from HRH Prince of Wales!
