Everything are so impeccable. Service was good, food was delicious and the place is cozy. Highly recommend to dine in.👍🏻

We have been visiting Seagulls for the last 15 years, whenever we're in Dorset. The food is always superb and the service friendly and efficient. Their Sunday roasts are the best ever and fish dishes are perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

Wow what a place to have dinner . Everything far more than perfect . Service was the best I have had anywhere Thankyou. Just had another meal here two days later . Food exceptional. Service exceptional. Steak tender and cooked to perfection.

Saw all the great reviews of this restaurant for Sunday lunch and wow were weren't disappointed.! I pre booked and glad we did. Everyone was really friendly. I'm a fussy roast beef eater and prefer the beef well done not rare and the lovely waitress said all the beef was well done. It came out so tender.! They catered well for children. Made a child's roast dinner for my son and my youngest son enjoyed his chicken nuggets and chips.! The puddings were at a top standard too! Amazing sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and two scoops of ice cream. Other compliments are available too. Highly recommend The Seagull restaurant.!

Had a light lunch in Seagulls today which was very enjoyable. A lovely friendly young lady served us. She was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A pleasure. We will definitely go again for an evening meal. Thank you.

Perfect start to our stay in West Bay. Three great courses combining fish and meat. Highly recommend Christina's bread and butter pudding. Attentive service throughout.

Excellent restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful.

Some ambient music in the background would benefit as it felt unwelcoming, the staff were very friendly and attentive, food was mediocre, £20 for a steak which was over cooked, but the vegetables were lovely! Seeing the pudding "board" being carried to each table and left in the middle of the floor really isn't a good idea, surely the waiting staff should know what pudding options there are? All in all it was a nice.

We loved the evening, not to busy, great food, the chef certainly knows taste and food. The service, yes young, but fully aware of the shop floor, were absolutely spot on. Wow and Thanks to the Seagull.

THIS IS NOT S REVIEW OF THE FOOD, BUT ONLY A REMARK. Very disappointed on a Thursday evening the restaurant was empty and didn’t accept us, because we have a very small dog “in her carrier bag”. The waitress with long hair, was brushing her hair while talking to us. The food may be nice, but we will not be able to put in our review book.

When ever we go to West bay we always go to seagulls We had Sunday lunch and once again we wasn't let down The roast beef melted in my mouth And would highly recommend people to give it a go

Best food we've had in a long time. Mushroom soup starter & pork belly main was delicious. Fairly priced for the quality of food. Restaurant could do with updating. Overall it was great and would definitely return.

The food and service was excellent, we came here for the Sunday roast and couldn’t choose a better place in West bay! The chicken with cream and mushrooms was also delicious! Highly recommended!

We have been coming to the restaurant at least once a year, more recently once a month, the staff are outstanding, and the food is excellent. I can thoroughly recommend Seagulls if you are ever in west bay to have a meal here. EDIT: It is now 2022, and we still continue to eat here every Month, you must try this Restaurant when ypu are in West Bay

Yesterday my husband and I had the roast rib of beef and grandson had sausages, chips and beans. All our meals were excellent. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. The best meal we have had in a restaurant for a very long time.

Very pleasantly surprised. Service friendly and efficient, food not bad at all and reasonable portion size. Good range of choices. Prices about average and overall a nice experience. Went to Oyster and Fish House in Lyme Regis the evening after, both my wife and I felt we should have come back to Seagulls for a second helping instead. Half the price and just as good if not better.

No frills, good honest food. Cheerful staff, prompt service. Would go again if I lived here.

WOW!!! Been to West Bay 6 times in the last few years, but tonight we found the best restaurant in the area. Service superb. Food delicious. One of the best meals we have ever had, and the prices are very reasonable. Many thanks for a perfect meal...we will return on our next trip.

We go to the seagulls every time we come to west bay. We so glad to see that there were open and made though locked down, and as always the food and the service were outstanding. The chief is absolutely amazing you can taste how fresh the local produce is , know one flavour over powers the rest everything is well balanced food from starter to pubbing. Just as good as any high end restaurant and definitely just as good as Rick stein restaurant. The staff are just as good friendly they know the menu your not rushed in anyway. And to top it off you can have a 3 coarse meal with 2 bottles of good wine for less that £100. We will continue to go back time after time. Its a must go to restaurant when in west bay. But make sure you book early as possible. You won't regret it.

Had a family meal here, restaurant is fairly small and can get busy at times, however the staff cope fantastically and are very attentive, the food is TRULY excellent, probably the best in West Bay, all very reasonably priced, will book again next time I’m in the area for sure.

Sunday lunch today, beautifully cooked, piping hot, fresh vegetables and good gravy. Homemade bread and butter pudding the best I've ever had, served with fresh cream in a lovely little glass jug. Fab!

Three of us booked for Sunday lunch just over a week ago. We were very impressed with the hygiene, nothing like as described elsewhere. The staff were really friendly and very Covid-aware. We had the roast beef and seasonal vegetables. The meat was very tender and flavoursome. We each had a different dessert, all beautifully presented and delicious. Would certainly recommend.

Wow what a fantastic restaurant and superb food and wine we all ate different and everyone’s meal was absolutely delicious from starters, main and dessert. The staff were lovely one of the lovely ladies even dropped us back to our accommodation as we couldn’t get a taxi which was so kind as I didn’t fancy tackling the cliff .. Thank you for making our last night the best evening I’d throughly recommend booking this little Gem of a restaurant by far the best in Westbay

Booked for Saturday night and what a treat. The crab bisque was to die for and the large whole plaice was cooked to perfection. And to round this off with bread and butter pudding with custard was an absolute delight. Exellent night for a very reasonable price.

We had a superb experience in this restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful it is obvious that they care about the customers.The fish that my wife and I had was superbly cooked and presented with perfectly prepared vegetables.The starters and pudding we had were also of the highlight standard. Would love to go again but it’s too far from our house.The standards of hygiene and cleanliness were also of the highest standard.

THE GOOD- Whole grilled plaice was cooked to perfection. My husband had the lamb shank, it looked meaty and he said it was not greasy as some can be. Needs more imagination with the vegetables. We had the usual boiled/steamed carrots and broccoli. The new potatoes just boiled, they need some salt, pepper, butter and parsley.THE BAD- Cutlery was in buckets on the table for every passing customer to breath on. The bottle of water on the tables was warm so had been there for some time for every customer to handle and breath on. It would have much more hygienic and better to bring fresh water bottles to the table from the fridge. I asked politely if I could have new cutlery and was given the ‘ you’re a pain’ look. Over priced for what it was, two Pimms came to nearly £12.

Yet again for about the sixth time you’ve been brilliant. Your food is excellent and I always enjoy the locally caught fish. I had hake, one of my sons had lamb shank and the other scampi. Really enjoyable evening and I promise we will be back. I would have no reservations in recommending Seagulls, just make sure you ring ahead and book

We have just had dinner at Seagulls. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. We had grilled plaice with new potatoes and vegetables all cooked perfectly. For desert we both had white chocolate cheesecake with a berry coulis it was so delicious and obviously homemade it’s best cheesecake we’ve had in years. We would highly recommend Seagulls and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food. We will be back again.

They have got it just right! The choice of food and the quality excellent - large portions too! They had also taken so much care to make the restaurant safe and still feel comfortable with stylish screens between the tables. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Wow is al I can say for the amazing restaurant. This is the first time I have been anywhere since lockdown, we were made to feel so welcome even with there great covid precautions in place. Now the food well where do I start. My husband had squid chunks he said you could tell how fresh they were, i had chicken strips that were so moist. Now main i had lamb shank that just fell off the bone and gravy that tasted like my granny used to make mmmmmm with new potatoes and vegetables, I could of eaten loads of the veg they tasted so good. My husband had the hake which again he says was so fresh. The staff were so friendly and helpful thankyou for making my first meal out since lockdown so enjoyable

Excellent food with excellent service, but book early, it gets busy..

A nice meal. The prawn cocktails were a little dull but good enough. Whole grilled plaice was fantastic. A bit more imagination with the vegetables wouldn’t go amiss - if you want them it’s a bowl of steamed/boiled carrots, cauliflower and brocolli. All a bit 1980ies. Summer pudding was home made and completely delicious. Service was excellent with a sparky and efficient waitress with a good attention to detail. Nice discreet screens for C19 precautions.

Having pre-booked a table on the Tuesday of our holiday, we were so impressed we immediately booked for the remaining two evenings as well. Every dish we tried was superb and the waitresses could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we shall certainly be returning when we come back to West Bay.

Sunday lunch (beef) looked tasty and was delicious as reported by partner. As a non meat eater, I thought the vegetarian options disappointing - a nut roast would have been welcomed as an alternative sunday lunch instead I was offered either vegetable curry or ratatouille. I settled for the fish of the day which was delicious.Even if you're not a pudding person, I would recommend you try the home made bread and butter pudding - so yummy!

Have been coming to West Bay for 10 years+ and always wanted to go to Seagulls and have finally achieved this this year! The food was great although not very many options to choose from. The service was very good and made us feel more than welcome and very good Covid prevention. My only negative review is the lack of local options to choose from on the menu; specifically drinks. No local cider, gin or ale which I don’t understand. This should be all that’s on the drinks menu for a local independent restaurant such as seagulls!

Seagulls is our ‘go to’ restaurant in West Bay as the food in consistently exceptional and yet again we had a great meal, there is a small menu and everything cooked well to give a great taste. The restaurant had good protocols for Covid prevention, screens between tables and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Yes we will return.

Excellent little restaurant right by the beach and very cheap carpark next to it. The lady serving was very efficient and very welcoming. The food as great freshly cooked serving fresh fish daily with good coffee.
