The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Torridge South West

Had breakfast here 2 mornings with 2 different sets of staff who were all friendly. Really enjoyed it. A good size portion, not massive but enough. Homemade cakes are lush too. Will definitely go back if we're in the area

First time here, good menu, nice food and drink. But the male serving us, I think was the manager from what I heard him say was very loud and shouty and a bit off putting. Reading other reviews seems to have the same issue.

Was really looking forward to trying breakfast but was unfortunately closed. Maybe it was just out of season as it was the last week of September but didn't see any notice boards with information.

We decided to give the Green Lantern a try, after not visiting for a very long time. Disappointed to say that it felt unusual to have a cafe serve coffee from a vending type machine that you might find in an old petrol station. Was insipid. We ordered a baguette and a toasted sandwich. The bacon was rubbery, think it may have been cooked earlier and warmed up, and it wasn’t very toasted! Such a shame, but we wouldn’t visit again.

Really lovely place with excellent customer service. Yummy food - all 7 of us VERY happy with our different meals. Reasonably priced too. Happy to help and accommodate. We’ll be back next time we visit Bideford! Thank you.

with the large step and lack of room within filter through wheelchairs will find it hard to access staff will try to help by moving stuff around but access is hard for disabled people

Absolutely yummy! Stopped here on my work break after being recommended by a friend and me and my crewmate both fell in love!

Absolutely dreadful we looked it up online and it said it opened at 8 o’clock we arrived stood outside for 10 minutes. A rude member of staff asked us what we wanted and then told us that nothing was ready

These comments are confined to a South African themed evening. It is possible that a qualified chef works during the day hence the enthusiastic reviews elsewhere. Frankly we were taken for mugs. The South African theme decor was confined to two flags attached to an unlit lamp on our table. Not even the background music appeared to be South African themed. The menu was extremely limited and was pre-publicised. So you would think that the menu choices would be available. Just three menu choices: beef or oxtail curry or an extremely over priced platter. There was no beef curry available despite the fact that there were no more than 10 other customers in the cafe and we had prebooked and been forced to part with £16 deposit. Had this not been  the case we would have probably left without delay after bring told that no beef was available. Obviously the chef could not be bothered to go to the butchers. After a shared, tiny bowl of biltong the platter arrived consisting of half a cheese and tomato toastie, four tiny pieces of boerwurst (each piece was the size of half an average finger), some maize meal served in a tangy sauce and two small twisted burnt lamb chops. These were so brown that you could not differentiate between fat, bone and meat. This platter cost a whopping £18!!. My score is generous in the circumstances and I advise other potential customers to avoid being taken in by the cafe's hype on social media. The host spent a lot of time that evening laughing, probably at our expense.

What a lovely coffee shop. Friendly staff, excellent taste in music (Taylor Swift). Clean and bright cafe. Hope small businesses like this come through the energy crisis, would be a shame to lose this type of establishment.

Fantastic from start to finish. A very warm welcome from the lovely staff. Great menu with plenty of choices. The food was served quick and hot. Would highly recommend a visit for a great breakfast using fantastic local ingredients.

Was in Bideford and going to have fish and chips however went into chip shop on quay (Mr.C) everyone in restaurant was eating sausages and chips which so anemic we left. FOUND the Pannier galley Cafe and the best we did, had burgers with Parkham Cheese absolutely fabulous and very tasty and as for the price 2 burgers were less than 1 fish and chips, this cafe needs to used by everyone the lady serving was chatty smiley and very friendly TRY this place you will be amased

We came here every day of our trip to Lundy island, and it proved especially handy when the ferry was cancelled. The atmosphere was always buzzing, the staff always friendly, and the food always delicious. An indispensable part of the Island itself.

Great pub atmosphere Delicious food Good selection of beverages including non alcoholic ones.

I stopped by for Sunday Lunch while on a bike ride. The roast beef was lovely as were the staff. Highly recommended! Thank you!
