Nice break in Dawlish, local shop owner recommended this wonderful place❤️ we travel extensively in the UK and overseas but feel the UK lacks quality. This restaurant will not disappoint! Wonderful food, and the service was 5 star! Look forward to our next visit! Ps also so so clean and fresh

I am so glad that we found this hidden gem! I have been a celiac for nearly 20 years and do struggle to find dessert places ... I had a gluten free waffle which was absolutely incredible! And the ice cream flavours are just out of this world - and the fact that they home make them makes them so unique! The staff were absolutely so knowledgeable and super aware of cross contamination - they are super friendly too! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Amazing vegetarian breakfast! Everything cooked to perfection and no dodgy veggie sausages either … good quality cauldron brand.

Forest Fungi is a great breakfast / brunch spot. The breakfast menu is served until 2 and offers some unusual and delicious options, mushrooms are front and centre as you would expect. They have also introduced a BBQ menu and offer tea and cake in the afternoon. There is a small farm shop on site and a good range of fresh baked goods. The service is friendly and approachable and prices reasonable. The best thing about Forest Fungi is the food, high quality, fresh, tasty and beautifully presented every time. At the weekend it is sensible to book in advance.

Daisy’s tea room is a little gem. There were 6 of us with ages ranging from 17 to 83 and we easily found food and drink that suited us all. The staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful even though it was very busy and the tea room and tables were very clean. One of us had a prawn sandwich to eat which came with a side salad and a few crisps, two had the ham and cheese panini which they said had just the right amount of filling, one had a prawn mayo salad which was tasty and filling and the other had the soup of the day with a chicken sandwich. We had various drinks and then a slice of cake. The cakes are absolutely delicious! We tried the lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut and Victoria sponge and thoroughly enjoyed them all! The portion sizes here are generous without being too much and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be returning.

Love this place M. Simons 8 reviews·3 photos The BEST ice cream shop in Dawlish!! OMG I found a shop that does Mr Whippy with a flakes, sprinkles ...... AND nuts!!!! This made me a very happy bunny today! 😂 I'd really fancied this ALL holiday but this was the only place I'd found (on our last day of holiday 😭) that served sprinkles & nuts and LOADS of other toppings. Now I know most ice cream shops/vendors don't do nuts for obvious reasons but why are SO many ice cream places ditching sprinkles?! The place next to the crazy golf course don't even do sprinkles! What kind of ice cream shop doesnt have sprinkles! Okay so MAYBE I'm a teeny bit OCD about this! Evie & Kim served us and were both super lovely & friendly and made my day by making the best ice cream I'd had all holiday. THANKSSSSS! They have a HUGE range of lovely flavours and hubby was very happy with his Eton Mess ice cream which was quality, yummy ice cream. DEF the ice cream place to go if you're in Dawlish!

I popped in for breakfast and found it a bit awkward. The signs were to the breakfast buffet which I assumed would be an all you can eat for a fixed fee. Instead you order at the bar then take your ticket to the buffet where the chef adds the items you have paid for. I’ve been spoiled by breakfast buffets and left disappointed. There were only a few of us in there around 9:15am

We love this place so much that we booked a table for 3 consecutive nights during our recent stay at Cofton holiday cottages. We enjoyed every night, the food is great, the beer selection is good and the wine list is also good. Probably my favourite pub

After reading the reviews of your Dawlish shop I expected a great experience in Bovey. Sadly not. Decent choice of sandwiches and buns, and some tray bakes, and lovely bread too. That’s good, it’s what they do, and do ok. But service with a smile, no sign, even when I paid. Almost scored a 2 but as I said, they have good products, so deserve a 3.

We came for Sunday carvery when we visited Dawlish. The food was good, although the beef was a bit chewy. The Yorkshire puddings were huge. Service was quick and friendly and the Covid-19 set up was good. We would return if we came back to the area.
