Daisy’s tea room is a little gem. There were 6 of us with ages ranging from 17 to 83 and we easily found food and drink that suited us all. The staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful even though it was very busy and the tea room and tables were very clean. One of us had a prawn sandwich to eat which came with a side salad and a few crisps, two had the ham and cheese panini which they said had just the right amount of filling, one had a prawn mayo salad which was tasty and filling and the other had the soup of the day with a chicken sandwich. We had various drinks and then a slice of cake. The cakes are absolutely delicious! We tried the lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut and Victoria sponge and thoroughly enjoyed them all! The portion sizes here are generous without being too much and we all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be returning.

My wife decided we would have a late lunch while in Dawlish Daisy's tea room appeared the only welcoming place. Well, I was shocked the food was excellent. We both had ham and cheese ploughman's. Yes, we had to wait a while, but for quality, I am prepared to wait. This was worth the wait. Free rap water is a nice touch from a dispenser at from with plenty of glasses. Staff are attentive and good. the only slight thing was one member or staff overuse of darling when ordering. If this is all that's negative, this place is doing great in a hard climate.

A chance stop in Dawlish and well worth it. The friendliest staff we have encountered on our UK trip so far. Super friendly staff. Coffee was good, scone was yummy but the home made cakes! Lemon drizzle cake with a tangy icing and slice of chocolate cake, light and fluffy with yummy icing. Worth the visit!!

Cannot fault Daisy's Tea Room. Very busy on arrival but I had fortunately booked a table. Staff very welcoming and efficient. A big fuss was made of the dog and she gratefully accepted several treats. So nice Tilly was allowed inside cafe. Food was freshly prepared and excellent value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to return and hope to do so very soon. Thankyou from the six of us and Tilly

What a lovely little cafe with friendly, happy staff and great service. Thoroughly recommend the soup and sandwich deal. Tideford soup that was hot, tasty and filling and generously filled sandwiches in quality bread (husband disappointed he had no room left for a cake). Will be calling in again.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and liked the look of Daisy's so popped in. We were not disappointed. We were greeted in a friendly manner which made us feel welcome as did all the staff who interacted with us. Our cheese & tomato paninis were generously filled and delicious. Coffee was great and , as others have commented, tea was loose leaf in a pot with a tea cosy + additional hot water-proper job! Prices were very reasonable and, if you can't leave your mobile alone, there is wi-fi but why not just sit back and enjoy being at Daisy's.

We were warned of a potential delay in serving hot food (which was fine with us) and in any event the drinks were served promptly and the food followed not long afterwards The food was good quality and they catered for a dairy free option. We were welcomed by the head bar man, what a gentleman & a legend taking the time to talk to us. We had visited Buckfast Abbey & drove through this quaint little village, parked cheaply in the pay & display & popped into this small village pub. Great little traditional pub, pool table on the right hand side, very clean & throughout. Good selection of beer & ales. We sat in their well tendered gardens. Definitely recommend for a stop off.

A lovely much needed addition to this town! Always greeted with a smile and a chat. Friendly place to grab a bite to eat and drink. You never know what is going to be on the menu, always something a little bit different but usually a safe option for others wanting something more usual. However I would say a set menu is something this place could benefit from. Especially being a mum and wanting to take my child somewhere, it’s not always convenient to just see what’s on the board today, as it’s not always child friendly! But other than that it’s a nice little place that I hope sticks around for a while

There should be a government warning about this pub. You should be warned about how lovely it is. So nice to walk into a pub that's still a pub. It's how a pub should be. We went with friends for the first time last week and we will certainly visit again. Great atmosphere with friendly locals, lovely staff and then the food ‼️ OMG this is what pub food should be like. Fresh, cooked on site and a desperate Dan size portion. I could not recommend this pub any more. It's a proper pub with proper grub. Go you will love it.

We used to visit this place a lot under the previous owners as it was a fab place to bring our little one. Sadly we were sorely disappointed on our first trip under new ownership. The back “play” room was cold with no lights or background music and the few toys there were not in a good state at all. When we went to order food they said all they had on was hot drinks and cake. As we’d arrived with a hungry little boy looking for lunch we left without getting anything and, very sadly, had to resort to a local chain rather than supporting a small independent business 😕
