Oceans Restaurant and Bar in Teignbridge

I popped in for breakfast and found it a bit awkward. The signs were to the breakfast buffet which I assumed would be an all you can eat for a fixed fee. Instead you order at the bar then take your ticket to the buffet where the chef adds the items you have paid for. I’ve been spoiled by breakfast buffets and left disappointed. There were only a few of us in there around 9:15am

Food ok, but have a bit more respect for your customers when asking about food.

Good takeaway, big portions. Foods not too bad just don't order the doner kebab not sure what meat it's ment to be definitely looks extra terrestrial

you know what. I've been coming here ever since I was just a 1 year old and now here we are 15 years later, having enjoyed our 2 weeks away. To the young lifeguard in the indoor pool with the black hair who looks like Barcelona player Pedri, keep doing your job man, your nan is proud of you ! Thankyou to james, jason, andy and all the other boys that have hosted my family in this park over the last 40 years, I'll be bringing my kids in a few years when I have them.

Waiting whilst my family went swimming. Good views of pool. But no facilities for to get a coffee

The bar tender was very rude. My partner order a beer and asked for the park discount my partner offered him to show the card and he said it's fine. I went to order again w more drinks and I asked him for the discount he said what? I haven't included the discount...i said well I was here 15min ago with my boyfriend, and he has the card I thought you will remember your customer when is basically empty the bar...never come back here

Do not buy a breakfast you will be very disappointed but the food in the evening is bang on & highly recommended

Good food, reasonably priced, I had the chicken teriyaki noodles which was amazing. My husband had the burger which came with a bourbon glaze. He enjoyed the burger, but that bourbon glaze was, the best sauce

£5 a pint!!!!!!! but got to take my hat off to the staff absolutely brilliant non stop . The atmosphere is good but tbh the prices are steep

Visited chip shop on site just at opening time and used the self order machine so only waited 15 mins. The food was bland, cold and certainly not cooked fresh considering only just opened. Over priced for poor food

Not great food. The Hunter's chicken was swimming in fat/water. Wouldn't recommend as there's other restaurants close by that are much better quality

Lovely fresh food, entertainment, lovely small soft play area for young children and plenty of fun machines for children

Been here several times and it's great but on this occasion the new takeaway food is shocking £12.50 for large fish and chips which I except a fresh fish not from frozen not a great move last year was it was still a takeaway and food was great needs addressing

Lovely stay , showers hot and clean . A few sign more sign posts to lead you to the beach would be good as maps are quite hidden . Unless you knew where to find them.

The burger and chips were absolutely delicious also i enjoyed the Coleslaw and i had 2 cokes and that was yummy and i enjoyed watching the cricket too

Good selection of food at good prices for the area. Service is a bit hit and miss some of the staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you, others are not so good.

The only nice thing about here was the young girl who spoke to us...smelt funny in tge bar area.... we are staying at the oak cliff Holiday Park....the trek for us to get back is crazy...unless you guys arrange some kind of shuttle service many people won't come here,we won't solely for this reason alone

The service was absolutely excellent and i had a pint of water and i had the fish and chips and the music was really loud also noisy

I unfortunately arrived and needed a hospital, staff were amazing. Made sure drinks were delivered to my table because I was on crutches. All food ordered was lovely. We have been every year for the last 6/7 years. Always fantastic service.

Food is disgusting and made everyone ill. Lucky I didn't have it due to dietary issues. DO NOT EAT THE PIZZA!

Mediocre at best... The food was perfectly acceptable, but they are trying to do too much with too few staff! When the holiday park is busy (like we are in August) there's not enough staff to do the basics. The bar had a large cue, with only two bar tenders on. The food came out quickly, and was reasonable quality, however, the staff didn't have time to check that the meal was ok, or if we needed anything else. They forgot one meal, which we then had to chase for. We waited ages for the plates to be cleared away, and then had to chase to get the ice cream that came with the kids meal. Whilst waiting, I observed that when people had left, tables would be cleared of pates etc, but not wiped down... The toilet wasn't wonderfully clean, and there was no soap in the dispenser. I have no doubt that if you came here when it wasn't rammed, it would be a completely different story, but although they did have a few staff on, it just wasn't enough to provide the basic level of service that you would expect. For an experienced holiday park during the summer holidays, this should really be a well oiled machine...

Decent food, quick and helpful service and an excellent location. Some good beers and ciders on tap too.

Popped in to watch the women's football and decided to order food. Great atmosphere, nice food (although slightly overpriced) staff were excellent, very attentive and great customer service. Would like to mention Nathan who served all his customers with enthusiasm and a smile even though the bar was extremely busy all evening. Would definitely visit again.

This is a holiday fish and chip shop trying to be a full time fish and chip shop. It's okay a little expensive and that for me is where it stops, will not use again now I've tried it once.

Stopped off for lunch here. Ordered a couple of pizzas, they were huge and very nice, well priced as well

Such a disappointing holiday this year .the front entrance has barriers but anyone can enter the site through the back gate most days . Indoor and outdoor pools need updating.

Amazing fish and chips. Huge portions!

Tried in mid July. Ordering system was intermittent at best, so took 20 minutes to actually order food and drinks. Service was good but the food was bland and tasteless.

Decent takeaway. Enjoyed the fishcakes and chicken goujons. Ordered food online and was ready to collect in ten minutes

We ate here on a couple of occasions during our stay on the campsite. Large spacious club house with plenty of space and tables re arranged for social distancing. Good systems in place and our temperatures were checked by security staff before entering. Food was good especially the pizza, prompt service and pleasant staff. One criticism was that children were running around the outside terrace despite rules forbidding this.

Oceans chip shop. Got to be the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten. Hard chips, fish over cooked and dry. Seemed like the fish was old. Won't use again

Well organized and easy to socially distance. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly. Happy to recommend and we would visit again.

It’s all bit dark in there . The food seemed a little ping ping , but food was cheap and get what you pay for. Service was good . All in all , not inspiring enough to go back again but did the job .

Booked a three night stay in April and because of vivid 19 laws we were not able to travel ask for a refund and as far not received anything

Really needs an update everywhere and to have the family changing rooms outside in the cold. Horrendous. Cheap swim but not even half a pint a coke nearly cost as much as the swim. Run down and tired.

Good entertainment in the evenings, the food is of a decent standard, nothing special but not too bad, the prices though are quite pricey.

Where do I start Arrived on site on the Saturday and headed down for a family evening at the club house - ABSOLUTE MEDLAM Monday evening we try again hoping a lot of the regulars have gone home after the weekend. Granted it wasnt as manic but it didn't pan for a good evening. I ordered the food and drinks food arrived very quickly (always a bad sign) Kids meal deep fried (even the 9 year old commented on the deep fried Smiley faces) Veg lasagna typical microwave and slop onto the plate was tasteless and not worth the money to be honest I could have got a nicer ready meal! I ordered Cheesy chilli nachos where the menu stated they were served with chips and got nachos with cheese and jalapeño when I went to enquire they tried to say the nachos were the chips and there was no chilli due to the descriptions being wrong in the menu! They replaced them with chilli nacho but still no chips! Anyway avoid at all costs it is terrible food and not at all worth the money. I have to say have been on site several times before and it's gone totally backwards and we definately will not be going there again!

We were in the tent on site for a week and, I think, we have tried every item from the menu and we don't regret it. As the matter of fact, it made a difficult choice as we would like to try something new but what we had last night was soooo delicious. Price exceptional for the location, one night we ordered Chinese from nearby take away and paid more than usually we paid in the bar.

Bank holiday weekend chaotic and despite this the service for food was pretty good. Food was hot, well presented and tasty, fairly reasonably priced for the area. Queuing at the bar for drinks and food was slow at best and knowledge on ales is weak, as is the selection although overall with lagers and ciders quite good. It’s over £4 a pint though and the bill, with kids and family, soon mounts up. If you want a quiet pint, forget it. Noise levels are high and confusing between matches on tv, kids corner games machines and entertainers. There is loads going on though and no doubt kids love it. If you like Blackpool you will love it here!

Great food at a reasonable price with a great atmosphere and with entertainment included what more could you ask for.

Good food friendly service at a decent price.

If your a sports fan this is the place to go plenty screens all round and a large one for special occasions no matter where you sit there will be a screen around.Good selection of beers and spirits food is excellent freshly cooked to order.Entertainment 2019 has improved 100% compared to 2018 highly recommended.

On a recent visit to Lady's Mile we enjoyed a meal in the Oceans Restaurant & Bar. Everything was cooked well for each of our meals and the portions were a good size. There were so many deals on offer throughout the day that you could enjoy and the staff were pretty friendly despite it being winter and not many people around!On our next visit to Lady's mile we will definitely sample more of the menu on a night in at the park!

This place set the standard for others to try hard to attain

Food was not up to standard, the meal I had the meat was tough and very expensive.

We loved this lovely pub with great views over the sea, fab food at great prices and good portion sizes. Staff friendly and very polite. Deffinetly recommend eating here.

We only came in for the bingo but thought we'd try the food, poor at best. My Mrs hasn't had a stroke and she doesn't like it either.

Food was not great and overpriced best to eat away from site at one of the many pubs in Dawlish Warren - The Welcome inn does a good carvery on a sunday

We stayed on the site for a week and ate here a couple of times, 1 x lunch and 1 x evening meal.

Lovely fish and chips and good prices

We had breakfast in the oceans restaurant. On the face of it the prices look very reasonable, you then realise this doesn't include toast, or any kind of tea/coffee/juice, so the price quickly adds up.

Arrived late and not many options to eat locally off site so thought give the chippy on site a go. The lad serving was very good and though we had to wait because the fish was cooked to order which I don't mind because it hasn't then been sitting there for ages. However, bearing in mind we're at the coast, I don't believe the fish was fresh. Usually fresh fish is a brilliant white and this was quite grey. There were loads of chips but the fish batter was very greasy. 50p for sauce, having a laugh? There is no excuse not serving fresh fish at the coast.
