First time here today gorgeous food had a amazing Caesar salad a toasted sandwich a coffee an orange juice looking over the sea with the sun how more better can it get

Quietish. Food ok nothing special. Ineresting to see later in year who servives as there have been no food outlets for years and now there are three. Only so much trade to go around. Was expensive for two sands and two drinks one of which was a glass of water. Staff were excellent.

Coffee was ok but ridiculously overpriced. "Large" Americano £3.60 and it was tiny.

Nice location and coffee, but service slow and the breakfast was very poor for the (expensive) price. Overcooked bacon, not warm, eggs questionable and avocado was very firm. Manager also abrupt and not very accommodating of fair complaints.

I see there have been some other reviews which mention the dreadfully rude manageress. She rarely smiles and is unfriendly even to regulars. We have been going there for drinks especially pre cinema drinks for almost 10 years but after our last experience we have decided enough is enough. She treats you as if she couldn’t give a toss if you find a seat or not. Smiling and being polite and friendly costs nothing. Shame because the view of the sea is lovely and the cinema volunteers are so nice and welcoming.

Generally pleasant Staff, but always seem to be short of manpower, resulting in very slow service. When the wrong flavour of sweet was delivered (mistakes happen!!), it took at least 5 minutes for the replacement to arrive!!! We love coming however, so please look to improving on the little things. Little things make a BIG difference. Thankyou.

Had a meal and drinks here before a show in the attached theatre. Great service, good food. Great show.

My partner and I went to have a brunch at this coffee. My partner and I were surprised about the price of a mocha almost 4£ for a little cup. ( check the picture) It is really expensive " they may swap the gold with the coffee" :) Lol My partner had a burger and I had a chicken flat bread. I like my flatbread and It was enough for me but my partner found his burger as little and "with not much inside.". When we arrived, the place was packed, as it was a sunny and warm day, unfortunately the service was little slow and there were tables to clean left behind. However the place has a lovely outside area right in front of the seaside.

Went there on a wet day ... but this was a LOVELY cafe bar to relax and escape the elements .. great view of the bay at Teignmouth .. imagine it would be wonderful in the summer !!!! Definitely gets a thumbs up from me!!

Popped in whilst visiting Teignmouth. Didn't eat here but enjoyed a drink. If you can get a table at the front, the view of the sea is unrivalled. Friendly and helpful staff made the visit a pleasure.

Staff very friendly and a great view

Very poor menu needs to be updated we had a toasted sandwich that was full of rubbery cheese and very little tomato also a bacon bap which was tough and very hard to cut in half. Staff were pleasant and helpful but the food let them down.Might go back next year if the menus has changed.

Went for lunch with a friend. First waitress friendly and polite, although we did have to attract attention when we wanted to order because all the staff were chatting and not paying attention to customers. Second waitress who brought our food over, literally rolled her eyes when I asked for a coffee. When she brought the coffee over, she just slapped it in the far side of the table where I couldn’t reach it so my friend had to pass it over to me. At the time we found it funny, but it’s pretty shocking service. Would I go back? Maybe, but not in a hurry…food was ok though…and the view is great!

Nice place to sit I, but service today was poor. I'm not sure why had 4 staff on duty so well staffed. I have been there before and was much better than today no sure if I go again

Stopped for a coffee at the end of a dog walk on the beach. Sat outside, and my coffee and teacake were brought out to me. The lovely server offered to get fresh drinking water for my dog before I could ask, which was kind and much appreciated. It is definitely things like this which make me want to return to a place. The coffee was lovely, and alternatives to dairy milk were available. My only minus was that the teacake was a little dry and not very fruity, but on the whole, this was an enjoyable pitstop.

Had a nice lunchtime snack. Cheese Burger & Chips with a fresh side salad for less than £12.

Quite good and not too expensive a place for a drink, either just coffee or something else. They do have a range of food but more on the snack side rather than a main meal, the food on offer is quite good though and the view from the upstairs is very good. Worth a visit.

We visited last weekend as the weather was great. I placed the order and was told there is a 20 minute wait on the food as they were pretty busy and the sun was out! We sat outside to enjoy the sun and the view. The food arrived in around 15 minutes. The quality was great and the service was superb. I think it was the manager, who served us who is a credit to the business. Overall, it was very good and we will return again very soon.

A good spot with good views, but rather spoilt as we had a few things we were not satisfied with. Regular coffee cups too small and not good value for money, but they did top up with hot water when i made a remark. The salad was a bit limp. And the chief would rub his nose and pick food up with fingers, not tongs! Not very hygienic. The rap was good and generous. Can be a bit noisy at lunch time if a lot of young children are there, but no worse than many cafés. That's why I gave low rating. I hope they read this and take note.

Lovely cup of coffee with a view and friendly service. Good value too

The theatre shows are great as ive read. The frontage cafe is??. I ordered an Americano Coffee.. med or large?..medium..£3..expensive you may say..yes very expensive i know. Came in a small tapered cup..the coffee was 3/4 inch from the top..thats the widest part. I reckon it's the dearest cup of coffee ive ever paid and the smallest... 'Right ive had the sample..please bring me the coffee' Absolute RIP OFF, god knows what the other products cost. I just thought "ive been ripped off again". I'm retired and very experienced in business and how to give value for money..this is just an example of the disgraceful situation of this country..there's "nothing great about it"..its a dump. No wonder so many are moving abroad. Perhaps god knows whats happened to gb. I won't thank him..i'm a realist and non believer. This sounds all very serious i hear you say..but i'm one of millions that know whats happened to this country..just read the news daily..what can we blame..the idiots that run this miserable country.. who are the people that you voted for, true brits or?..the fraudulent and lies of these mp's..claiming expenses on fictitious homes. Look at the millions in poverty..suicides, crime from foreigners, increased crime of those in serious difficulty. Ask yourself. Just a simple coffee can lead to this..its so common among decent people..take it from me and millions of others. Ask the tens of millions who are suffering this country thats become a dump..that's being nice and polite. Make your stance..have your say.

An enjoyable reasonably priced pre-show supper venue is available on the first floor cafe at Teignmouth Pavilion. Very good service from the attentive hospitality staff.

Always a great spot for a coffee and a chat. Dogs are welcome on the ground floor.

Lovely Sophia made my experience worth it. Best luxury hot chocolate I've ever had. Mum enjoyed the day thourougly. TC x

Pre concert meal, quick and nice, service was a little slow and they forgot one of our drinks... But it can happen. We shall be back.

Very nice evening meal and a cozy atmosphere.

Arrived at 10am on Sunday for breakfast, waited at bottom of stairs for cafe to open, member of staff said you can now come up but halfway up the stairs manageress shouted down, we are not open stay downstairs. Later manageress came down and said we are not open yet as staff are not all here. I saw a number of staff upstairs, how many does it take to take our order. This is not the first time staff and management have been rude and totally disinterested. Perhaps the owners/ managers need to know how the staff treat customers. Its such a shame as its a lovely setting with lovely views let down by the staff and manager

Shame the View is a lovely location on the roof but still acting like we are in another Covid pandemic .Queuing ?? I don’t queue . Can’t reserve a table a table told first come first served . How is one supposed to plan a lunch out for 6 people when it turns into a dog eat dog scenario . In that event I went just down the way to the Captains Table and they don’t mess around. The staff were gorgeous and the food and the atmosphere were top notch !!

Visited with a colleague on their recommendation, service with a smile and the coffee was great, next time I’m having some food as it all looked and smelled amazing!

Ordered 3 coffee and 1 special tea. Coffee is very good and the tea is nice too. The first floor view is so gorgeous and we can see the pier and the see so closely.

If you want a nice bar with a view at the sea, this is your place. Waiting to go into the theatre, a nice place to have a drink before entering.

Such a lovely place and great staff but the prices are ridiculous, everything has gone up too much. We are locals and have frequented it often but paying £24 for two very small baos and two soft drinks is way too much. The brie and bacon was sadly lacking in brie in one of our rolls so it felt a lot of money for what it was.

Always visit when in the area great coffee and amazing toasted cheese and ham sandwich 🥪

Is lovely you can see right out to sea 🌊 it's beautiful just sitting there having a drink or something to eat . And the staff were lovely very friendly and helpful , prices weren't bad .

5 members of staff standing round drinking coffees and ignore all tables when it wasn’t even busy!!!!! Had to stand up and say excuse me can you please serve us. Never checked on us or asked if we needed more drinks or anythjng. Food was overpriced for what it was. Same quality as weatherspoons. Do not spend your hard earned money here to be not even served. Disgraceful service all the staff need a talking to.

Personally- teignmouth Always looks shabby- no signage to be seen not to feed seagulls. Too many tables and chairs outside eating places….3 chippys - not a good word to say for either of them. Halved the fish and doubled the price…especially McCoys on sea front. Gardens well kept as council are paid to upkeep. Lifeguard on duty today 27/6. Icecream on pier had no dairy free ice cream… Lovely clock shop though….

Lovely view of the seafront. Nice comfortable seating but quite a wait for our drinks order. We didn't have food so can't comment on that.

Great place for a sea view overlooking the bay. Restaurant is on the first floor ( there is a lift for those that need it ) We have had both breakfast when inside and coffee out on the glass sided veranda. Pleasant staff and the food was good and well presented

We have visited the View on several occasions and always enjoyed our food. Unfortunately, today was rather disappointing. The offerings seemed meagre, the bacon was overcooked and I am not sure what had been done to the egg. We were rather underwhelmed and i doubt we shall return.

Went here for Breakfast this morning, friendly staff, great service and stunning views on the top Terrace looking out to sea. The food was delicious and presented beautifully, I would definitely recommend.

A very lovely place. Just turned up early evening and got a lovely seat outside on the terrace. The pizza was presented so nicely and tasted absolutely delicious. The toilets are a bit of a walk - have to go past meeting rooms! A nice dining experience - recommended

Very nice with a lovely position overlooking the sea. Very clean with good facilities and quality seating. The staff are very pleasant, we have had several visits, nice snacks which were good quality. I gave it 4*as l have only had snack lunches and unable to comment on the large meal menu.

Sat out on the balcony as weather was beautiful, with a stunning view. Had the fish which was beautiful. Service was spot on. Will definitely visit when I’m back down again.
