Called in for breakfast, the 2 ladies in the cafe were brilliant, super friendly and seemed to know everyone who came in. A credit! The service was perfect and the breakfast was first class, will definitely make this my regular brekky spot. Well done.

We called in Bayard's Cove Inn for coffee in the morning and were greeted by lovely friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The inn was in a historic part of Dartmouth and had a very interesting history. We decided to eat here in the evening after looking at the menu. The restaurant was very busy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My husband had the homemade burger with all the trimmings and thoroughly enjoyed it, I had vegetable lasagne with garlic bread and a side salad. The mix of vegetables was very good and all looked as if they were fresh unlike some places where they have clearly been frozen. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced. They also had an extensive wine and cocktail list. Well worth a visit !!!

After having popped in for a drink earlier in the week, we had a really lovely follow up meal. In my wife's view (who had the Halibut) on if the best meals she's had in the South Hams. I had the chickpea curry which was awesome, evidently they change the menu weekly so always fresh options available. It has been sensitively and tastefully renovated following a fire a few years ago - so wonderful surroundings for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. With great attentive service to boot - you couldn't fault it.

We went to the Imperial for a birthday meal. We arrived, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming, and polite. They sorted out drinks and showed us to our table. I don’t think we even looked at the menu. We were drawn to their specials board, where I think this pub makes such a difference. We went when they had burgers on special offer, and my goodness, they were out of this world. There’s no chance you could eat them with your hands. Decent portions and quality food. The pub was very busy inside and out, but they didn’t let their service drop. A spot-on little pub with huge character. Highly recommended to anyone wanting simple but spot-on pub grub.
