A super cosy, warm, wooden atmosphere and decor on the inside make us feel at home, it is a huge stress relief. Plus the guys that work there are so kind, so thoughtful and never miss the chance to greet you on the way in with a welcoming "Hi guys"! Or "Bye, have a good day"! On the way out. We're now desperate for them to open a shop closer to where we live, as we have just moved and still get the bus into town just to see them!

Sat here for a few hours one afternoon whilst waiting for car to be fixed. Beautiful interior and amazing coffee. Friendly helpful staff.

As I have a problem eating without a drink throughout I always ask for a pot of hot water to extend my coffee. Never a problem elsewhere. Here the lady serving me at the till was acknowledging my request when the Barista ? Owner asked why I needed a pot. I explained my requirement but he said I couldn’t have a pot as he needed his teapots. There were a good amount behind him on a less than busy occasion. He said I could have a cup of hot water which, falling short of my needs also presented a risk of trying to pour it to top up my coffee without a possible scald or dripping over the table. I feel he was less than gracious in his approach and customer service and felt embarrassed and disappointed. The lady serving me was excellent handling the situation and reassured me when getting up to leave but I feel I would not return at any time.

Lovely quaint little coffee shop which is great for locals or visitors to the area alike. Plenty of seating available and a whole range of options to purchase whether thats drinks such as coffee or apple juice, or food such as a sandwich or chocolate brownie. Will be back soon and looking forward to it already!

Friendly staff but a soulless establishment. Not sure what was missing but it wasn't for us. Popular with locals. Can't always rely on reviews. Easy to find with car park nearby.

Decent speciality coffee and lots of indoor seating

I have tried to support as many local companies as possible, and will use coasters over costa. However, I have now refrained from using Coasters due to the high cost of oat milk. I prefer flat white, and to get charged 45p for a small amount if milk is just not right. The flat white already has a charge for normal milk in the price, so why is that not deducted. Oak milk is more expensive, but no where near that much. I now only shop at places that do not charge extra for milk intolerant customers.

Excellent service, good coffee and a good array of cakes & sandwiches. But unless you like cakes or bread, there’s nothing for lunch; No soup and no salads, Shame.

Do not bother if you want real coffee. looked like a coffee did not smell like a coffee and did not taste of anything. The shop did not smell of coffee, it was clean but had no soul.

We only wanted good coffee and a sandwich to fortify ourselves and that is exactly what we got. The seating area is light and airy and the staff pleasant.

We often use Coasters, it offers good food, cake and drinks. In these covid times precautions are sensible and tables spread out leaving plenty of space. Recommended

Fabulous. Best coffee for miles - including Salcombe! Worth even gettting the (new, improved) 164 bus from there to Kingsbridge, just for a coffee!

Quite expensive for coffee and cakes and the coffee could have been stronger with more depth of flavour. But the staff were super and we like to support independent businesses.

A lovely little cafe right in the middle of Kingsbridge. Their coffee was absolute lovely and I am a bit picky. Plenty of space, nice sofas and very safely set up in the current environment!

Been here before and it was ok, but now not good. Still no almond milk for those who are Dairy Free and Gluten Free, like me. Soya makes me sick and oat milk has gluten in it! 'Vegan' is a fancy lifestyle choice, but DF and GF from intolerances/allergies is real. The mask wearing by staff is oppressive enough, but my friend is DEAF and could not hear what was being said. She asked the woman behind the perspex screen (!) to lower her mask because she couldn't hear her and the staff member refused! Very bad! I'm partially deaf and also couldn't hear when I went to the counter. I mentioned it and the woman just shrugged. UNACCEPTABLE! Staff in all stores and shops are required to show consideration for disabled people, and it is impossible to 'hear' without seeing lips move if you have a hearing problem!

Nice place to sit and chat. Coffee was a bit weak for me but that's my fault for not asking for a strong one. Ask for a double shot if you like strong coffee. Nice cakes!

Always come in. It's clean and loads of room. The bus terminal is nearby, so you can't miss your bus, you have only got to cross the road. There is a view of the open space near the quay. Latte on bad, hot chocolate tastes like chocolate if you like chocolate.

Cozy and welcoming modern cafe with good coffee, we also had a delicious toasted banana bread. Lots of eco awareness - I was very impressed to see they were using a steamer to clean the glass instead of sprays at the end of the day.

Our past favourite American Diner having been turned into a Chinese takeaway, we were looking for a new lunch venue and in Coasters have found it. Lovely friendly staff busily serving and clearing tables. Very nice, very reasonably priced panini and coffee, though perhaps just a sprig of watercress and half a cherry tomato would take the bare look off the plate. Very convenient for town, bus station and main car park. We'll be back.

Having walked around Kingsbridge we were in need of caffeine and did not want to opt for a chain like the costa opposite. Coasters was open and welcoming. £2.50 for a latte but was quite a small cup compared to other coffee shops. Tasty and whilst we didn’t partake that had a nice range of cakes.

We asked for our usual espresso coffees and they were swiftly delivered along with a glass of water. The coffee was harshly acidic with an unpleasant depth of flavour. The walls of the cafe are decorated with information about the beans, where they are sourced etc. Regrettably no one seems to carry out any quality assurance on the product.

On reflection and compared to other independent coffee shops, we were a bit disappointed in Coasters. The coffee was fine - but a little disappointed in the choice of cakes on offer? This may just have been the time of day (mid afternoon) as other reviews have praised them? Perhaps it was also the atmosphere which we felt was a little flat - again compared to other places? So ok but not our favourite?

Someone argued with me in Coasters, and I hit back virbally. The owners did not turf me and with a permanent ban, unlike most cafes and restaurants in Kingsbridge. They also make excellent coffee at a reasonable price. They deserve the custom, and more. Coasters is a light and airy cafe, with dryers to relax and enjoy been there. There is also free WiFi. I am glad to have found it with my three friends.

A great drop in for a quiet cup of superb coffee, a tasty snack and a comfy chair for half an hour of sanctuary.

Travelled from Salcombe only to be turned away with 'dogs are not allowed here' from one of the staff. No 'good morning, I'm very sorry but...' This is the first coffee shop in the country that I have come across that turns away people with a dog

Worth a stop if you’re into decent coffee. Had a really unique and delicious filter (single cup brew not batch). I live in west Cornwall but I’m definitely remembering this place next time I’m in the area. Thanks guys for saving the day with a good brew :)

Gave this place 3 stars as it is nice inside but marked it down because although the cappuccino was well made the coffee had little flavour. Should have asked what coffee they were using as it's a bland one.

The best coffee in Kingsbridge and probably the South Hams. Its great to see a high quality independent friendly cafe doing well, every year we visit from Australia this is our first stop. Keep up the great work.
