Overall the food was good quality, but served not piping hot,but when told to the waitress, were met with stony silence,no so sorry, collected plates and left,at least we had a nice cheerful waitress taking our dessert order, on that it really wasn't a real rum baba, more a sponge with little flavour very disappointing.

After a search on Trip Adviser we found The Flintock Inn which is half an hour’s drive from our holiday cottage in Sidbury. 2 delicious 3 course Sunday lunches were enjoyed during our holiday. This is the only meal they seem to be serving at the moment and our food was delicious on both occasions. Everything is homemade and the menu changed each Sunday. We had roast beef, roast pork and roast chicken over the 2 visits which were all generously served and very well cooked. Very tender and tasty meats. There is also a plentiful selection of fresh vegetables. Tasty starters and desserts begin and end the meal. A bargain at £24.95 for 3 courses. You can have 1,2 or 3 courses. The landlord is very welcoming and friendly and his wife is an excellent cook. We would happily be regulars if we lived locally and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if on holiday in Devon again. For those travelling on the A303 to or from the West Country it is a perfect place to stop off for Sunday lunch as it is just off that road. Its position also makes it very easy to get to if you are on holiday in the area.

What a wonderful experience!! While on a day out in the area of Seaton & Beer on our way home we were gasping for a good cup of tea and a cake - we trawled around Seaton and most other places had either closed or were closing, so on our way back to the car we found Pebbles. What a result!! A wonderful little cafe, just on the corner from the seafront! We received a lovely warm welcome from what we assume was the owners, we were invited to sit in a surprisingly spacious dining area and our goodies were brought to us. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, which was certainly an admirable choice of fodder, but the tea and cake was delicious - just the right thing at just the right time. And no doubt we will be coming back here - to a point we've avoided Seaton partly due to its seeming absence of such places but now we know where Pebbles is, we will be back!!

A friend told us to visit on the way last. Pouring with rain and signs a bit misleading s we thought dogs not allowed but a lovely member of staff told us to bring our dogs in the side door. Pizza was amazing. BLT was yummy. Ice cream was out of this world. Staff fab. We will def be back.

Pulled in here in on the way back from a holiday. Was treated to a friendly lunch for the family. We tucked into a range of different sandwiches. These were well made with high quality ingredients. The layout of the cafe was spacious and felt newly set up. The sign of quality was the number of regulars in for their lunch. Will be calling in again.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at the SaltyMonk. Food was exceptional - we had the 8 course taster menu which they were happy adapt to our preference. Service was spot on and so friendly. Have eaten at some top restaurants and this is right up there.
