Basically, an open-air eatery linked to a shop selling fishing gear. Fishing boats moored nearby. ideal for a pre-fishing trip snack. Food was only average.

Good value well presented and friendly atmosphere with mix of locals and visitors. Wooden pergola over the eating area plus garden umbrellas ensure no pesky gulls spoiling your meal!

Cheap and cheerful fish and chip cafe in Axmouth harbour where the few fishing boats tie up . Eating is outdoors ..Its ideal for fishing people selling rods and kit.

We work for the NHS in hard shifts and have a full family and some altruistic projects on an ongoing basis. We need some positive recharging when we can. We used to come to this spot years ago. This cafe is still enchanting because of its genuine, simple, caring hospitality. The prices are good, the quality of food surprisingly tasty and good portions. The people serving us were just so sweet and welcoming. So grateful to see in this world, that quite some time goes too fast not for the good health of the public, a place that can slow down time, within a beautiful natural surroundings and nice people.

This is a great little cafe, we always pop in when in the area on our cycle ride. The owner is really welcoming and friendly. The menu selection is good, breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, or just a coffee and cake. Great value, lovely location, what is there not to like.

Visited Seaton from Derby and ate here on all 3 days. Lovely lady serving at the hatch and great food for the price. Ate outside but it does have a roof and is sheltered from the wind and cold. Also attached to a fabulous tackle shop so we could get our bait for an afternoons fishing.

We had a nice roast dinner today with tender meat and lots of vegetables, however the Yorkshire puddings were disappointing.

Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!

Great cafe! After a week of being in the area, 14 Miles East is definitely my go to when I’m back in town. Service is always extremely good and food & coffees are great. Open fish sandwich was 🤯 thanks team!
