We have just thoroughly enjoyed an outstanding Sunday lunch at the Royal Oak. The food was delicious, especially the venison, and the service was friendly, prompt and we were warmly welcomed despite the pub being absolutely full. Thoroughly recommended!

We ordered Fish salad each and it was the freshest salad I've had in a restaurant, absolutely delicious 😋, staff very kind very friendly, we had two cream scones with jam and clotted cream, they were home made scones and lovely too. Left there full and happy! Would we go back there again? That's a big YES! from us.

We have been coming to Heather's for around 10 years now and it is still as lovely as ever. The food is freshly made and delicious and the service is always warm and welcoming. As well as Heather, the staff are friendly and genuinely look liek they enjoy working there. I would recommemmd Heathers to anyone

What a lovely experience to follow the two horror stories of dining I’ve had locally recently. An example of doing the basics well. Great service, great atmosphere, great staff and a simple food menu. As a group of 6 we had a smattering of mains from all over the menu. From the chicken to the beef burgers to the fabulous chips and thoughtful side salad and garnish not a single negative comment could be made. Tasty, well cooked and portioned well. I’ll be back sooner rather than later!

I once saw a documentary about a frog in South America, where they said the secretion it produced was the most addictive substance on earth. It was so powerful, it sparked wars between tribes, caused men to fight to the death, and ripped families apart. But if those tribesmen had ever tasted a 7A brownie, they'd realize that frog's secretion would seem like nothing. If you ever try one, though, I hope you don’t live too far away, because you’ll find yourself chasing that high, coming back over and over again.

Came for Mothers day treat, rang up week before to book a table and told to get there early which we did. My daughter has a disability and feeding tube of which she was attached to her pump, we were told we could not sit in restaurant, no one in it but all tables booked out. We sat outside and it was cold, my daughter suffered. No one had sat at any of the tables in the half hour we were there for breakfast, the cafe was empty, not a good way to treat someone with a disability, very unkind. The pancakes did not taste freshly cooked either, so very sad.

We have just had lunch at this lovely little pub. The service and food were excellent and the atmosphere lovely. No rushing and very friendly. We will definitely visit again - its a little gem and so nice not to have a pretentious restaurant which abound in the Cotswolds. Thank you for letting us stay and chatter until 3.0 p.m.

A small coffee shop opposite the parish church. Obviously very popular with locals. We had seriously good coffee. Their coffee is not for the faint hearted. Whilst drinking I got a touch of food envy. Everything that was being eaten around me looked delicious. The only reason we did not return for lunch was we wanted somewhere with a fire to sit by, after a very cold visit to the church.

After checking your website I arrived yesterday (Saturday 4 Jan) for lunch with my family and three young grandchildren only to find a closed cafe. Please ….. there is no point at all in having a website UNLESS you keep it up-to-date. I also noted the sandwich board left outside your entrance announcing ‘open Wednesday to Saturday’, What a waste of time and energy and so disappointing for the family.
