We were well taken care of as a large group with a beautiful room to ourselves. The menu choice was limited but suited all of the party. The service was tentative and friendly. Only slight point of contention was dining with animals in the restaurant. As more of a fine dining experience this wasn’t expected especially as one of our party suffers with severe animal allergies. That as an aside the dining experience was pleasant and therefore I’d not hesitate in recommending to all.

Ignoring the local pub fare in Moreton in the Marsh we fell upon this peaceful and neutrally decorated restaurant. Their staff were smiling and we booked a table for four in the window. We have been blessed with travels widely in the UK and beyond and we were not expecting the meal choice we chose to be as good as it was. That was the first temptation as it was unlike the other pub fare we had viewed elsewhere. The young and recently appointed chef had a delicate but un-fussy touch with all the dishes and we reordered more from the starter menu after we had finished our main courses. The freshness, quality, subtle tastes and portion control was just right and the serving staff were attentive and very charming. There is a perfectly good wine list and it is rare to leave a restaurant table in a small town in rural England and compare it with a central London restaurant. Bravo - keep it up. Quality will always attract people when you become a food destination. Tip: don't be tempted to hike the prices - yours are the best in the village and get a water filter on your tap water. Then 10/10 and we'll be back!

Appalling, avoid this place! We waited 20 minutes after ordering and when we asked for our order we were told it’s was almost ready! Another 15 minutes past and the waiter came over and said sorry your order was missed and has not even been started! So no one had in fact checked when we asked after 20 minutes! So not only are they incompetent they are also liars!!! Many much better places nearby, do not waste your time with this place

My wife and I decided to have a drink and some food. My wife order an American coffe, and I had tea. I ordered the full breakfast whilst my wife ordered a bacon sandwich. We waited nearly 20 minutes before the drinks arrived, and the food didn't arrive for an other 25 minutes. A total of 45 minutes before we could eat.the bacon on my wives sandwich was cold. Both the bacon on the sandwich and the breakfast was at least a third fat. It was not very nice. When the bill arrived it came to £38. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment again. We do not believe that we had value for the experience we had for the money we paid. At no point did any of the staff say anything about the long wait. Not good enough in our view

Today, we were here for lunch. We each had the tomato soup and a fresh roll. I had the fresh mint tea. All was excellent as usual. The ambiance is great here. An interesting blend of old and new. The service is very quick but they don't rush you out either. We have been here several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner since they opened. The new menu is terrific.

Came across this cafe by chance late in the day and so glad we did. Lovely smart space, excellent coffee and cakes. Menu looks good so will be going back when we are in the area again. We were made so welcome by the lovely waitress who greeted us with a beautiful smile and took the time to engage with us.

Popped in for a light late breakfast, the staff were very friendly and helpful and found us a table. This was a bright clean tearoom with table serviced food and coffee were delicious. There are toilets on site which were also clean and a little shopping area.

The perfect location for a family 60th birthday celebration! We had private use of their gorgeous garden room (at no cost) for our group of 10 and the restaurant manager was so helpful and accommodating. The food is fantastic with lots of locally sourced ingredients, and plenty of vegetarian / vegan choices available, and we were all so impressed with the quality of everything that we had. The coffee is excellent too! Absolutely recommended.

This was our 2nd visit. After slow service the first visit, we decided to give it another try. Big Mistake!!! We arrived early on the 9th, and there were only three other parties in the restaurant. The manager greeted our arrival with ' is there something we can do for you?' ( very rudely) I explained that we were there for breakfast but knew we had to sit in the back area because we had a dog. Although we were happy with the double table by the door to the garden, she insisted on separating the tables. She said, " we are very busy," even though there was nobody in the room. We have a floor mat, drink bowl, etc. for our dog for the comfort of other diners - but dog friendly, this place (or at least the manager) isn't! It took nearly 15 minutes for a waitress to take our order and a further 30 minutes for it to arrive. The food and coffee were below standard and therefore over-priced. When we paid and left, there was still nobody in the room and only two new couples outside (one with a dog??!!). The staff were all at the counter, laughing and joking. They asked about a tip when I paid, and I said no, the attitude and service were appalling. She was genuinely surprised that we did not leave a tip. Do not go here if you want a friendly environment with good service. It really is very poor!!

Nice place, visited a few times before however on the visit (9/4) the service was dreadful! Took an age to get to place our order. Staff too busy “chatting” to friends. Pity as it’s normally much better. Good quality toilets!

Had an excellent meal here. The food was tasty and well presented and the service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return. We have lived in Moreton a few years and have been to all the pubs and restaurants and this was the nicest food we have had - although admittedly the bar is set quite low!

The bread and cakes from here are epic - really good Croissant and the Sourdough is top class - can perch indoors if you are lucky or sit outside on some rather flimsy folding chairs, either way teh coffee is very good and even better with a bun! Quality of product is the main attraction, its not a large enterprise like some of the other places nearby. Worth finding.

The cafe is very basic which is fine, however, the prices are too high. Two coffees over nine pounds. We did have oat milk instead of cows and one was decaf but even so that’s the most we have been charged for two medium sized coffees anywhere in the UK. There was even a 10% service charge added to the bill which again was a first for us in a cafe. Staff were very nice but we won’t return. There is a limit to how much we want to pay for coffee. It’s not £9+.

We nipped in for a quick drink, the orange wine was delicious and the place has a nice atmosphere. We had some little snacks whilst visiting.

The guy who works here is rude and condescending. Dare you not be a perfect coffee expert and ask for advice on which drink to choose.
