I visited with my sister the first time and a friend plus my granddaughter this week. She needed a high hair which was available. Service is quick and the salads are amazing. Tasty. Nicely presented and a great price at £6.95 with a glass of elderflower fizz £10.20 !!! A steal in a busy trendy town ! It’s always busy but it’s not long before a tables is free. Toilets are a trek tho. Not on the same floor as the cafe.

My husband and I visited on a busy Saturday. We ordered at the till and the staff member who served us was very friendly. Our hot drinks arrived almost immediately which was really refreshing. A very short while later our salads arrived - we both had goats cheese and beetroot salads which were reasonably priced at £6.95 each. The food was delicious. There was a vibrant atmosphere in the cafe but it was relaxing and casual at the same time. The staff were all working hard and seemed to be on top of the busy workload. I would highly recommend.

Sat here now just finished my Coronation Chicken sandwich which I waited half an hour for. I ordered that, a jacket spud with chilli, a coke and black coffee. The food took half an hour to arrive and the drinks came after the food! (Despite chasing up where it was) My sandwich was ok. £6.25. Thought it would have a side salad or something but just had one lettuce leaf! 😂. It was nice but do put more filling in. My wife’s jacket potato was way undercooked. She had to mash it to soften it, the ‘chilli’ was one spoonful and had no flavour at all. All in all. Ultra slow service. Below average food and I feel giving a three is generous but my wife wouldn’t let me leave a two….

I booked this and was insulted by being asked if I knew what afternoon tea was...... (I should have cancelled there and then) booked for 4 people this is what I was served for £80.00. Presentation was poor, everything was rammed on the plates and cake slices were cut into smaller portions. I have had many afternoon tea's and served my own this was not worth the money which is such a shame as we were treating family.

I’m surprised to read the largely positive reviews of this place. I found it underwhelming and seriously overpriced. £7.95 for a bowl of soup is excessive. £8.95 for a jacket potato with some miserable green leaves on the side is just ridiculous. The jacket potato was undercooked and not baked. Very poor selection of vegetarian food. Based on their fare and the quality, their prices are about 40 percent more than they should be. Avoid.

After a few months of staying in it was lovely to visit Cirencester and we decided on here for lunch. Obviously, due to current restrictions, we had to sit outside and go in to order. The tearoom is located through The Cornhall but is badly signposted and you need to walk past shoppers and stalls to access it.I approached the counter to give my order and was met with less than an enthusiastic response from the two staff. I asked if it was table service to be told that I would have to stand at the counter and wait for my order to be made. I was given my coffee and duly waited....After some time I could see that my order wasn't being prepared so I told the staff member that I would go outside to tell my friend to come in and order (she was outside saving a table). On walking out another staff member, somewhat rudely said "Aren't you going to wait?" I explained what I was doing and carried my hot coffee, minus a lid, back through The Cornhall. My friend then went in to order and was told it WAS table service! In the meantime my order arrived, a panini with stringy bacon and a few leaves, and I had to eat it whilst waiting for my friend to receive her lunch.I do appreciate that certain adaptations need to be made at the moment but I do not appreciate the attitude and service of the staff towards me.I'm afraid I would not recommend the tearoom at the moment and will not be returning.

Seemed the volume was the same, and both used just one tea bag. Even though I asked for a mug I was still charged for a pot! My wife had an Early Grey and wasn't offered the choice, so it was a pot for her. We each had a panini with cheese and pesto. Very disappointing, hardly any cheese, and at £4.95 each very expensive.

Heard some reviews on great tea options of this little cafe so had to visit and see. On walking in there was no ambiance and all felt a little awkward, how ever let’s get on and order and try their tea/coffee as that’s what’s important, well my partners coffee was too hot the milk just on the burnt side, and my tea was unfortunately the weakest tea I’ve ever tasted :( it was like having a pot of hot water even after sitting for a while or popping the tea bag in my cup!! Nearly asked for a slice of lemon just so my hot water had some flavour, how ever in the end just had about 4 mouthfuls and gave up and left the rest. My partner tried their brownie which was lovely according to him so there was a plus side to the visit, how ever I feel maybe a bit more background research into their teas could really help this little place. Just wasn’t for me though and won’t be back.

The bread and cakes from here are epic - really good Croissant and the Sourdough is top class - can perch indoors if you are lucky or sit outside on some rather flimsy folding chairs, either way teh coffee is very good and even better with a bun! Quality of product is the main attraction, its not a large enterprise like some of the other places nearby. Worth finding.

The cafe is very basic which is fine, however, the prices are too high. Two coffees over nine pounds. We did have oat milk instead of cows and one was decaf but even so that’s the most we have been charged for two medium sized coffees anywhere in the UK. There was even a 10% service charge added to the bill which again was a first for us in a cafe. Staff were very nice but we won’t return. There is a limit to how much we want to pay for coffee. It’s not £9+.
