I pop in every now and then as I work in Cirencester, often they have a nice soup of the day. This visit was the first time I took my family along, including our 4yr old. I hadn’t noticed before, but they have a little shelf with crayons and games to keep little ones entertained. The food has always been very good, all sandwiches and paninis freshly made, they have a great selection of hot and cold drinks etc. What really impressed me was how brilliant all the staff were with our daughter, she loved the food and everyone was very kind when she wondered up to the till by herself to ask for more cheese for her Jacket potato. The kids menu is really reasonably priced and we had a fantastic lunch as a family.

Stumbled across this amazing cafe purely by chance on our first visit to Cirencester. There were so many wonderful sounding dishes to choose from. Eventually decided upon the bubble and squeak and was not disappointed. The accompanying egg and bacon were also cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. The banter between staff and staff and regulars was good to hear. The birthday girl behind the counter was very cheerful. They welcome dogs (not that we had any). Well worth a visit. Seating is limited, we were just fortunate to arrive as a table became vacant. Would reccomend to my dad - that's high praise for any food establishment. Thank you. We had a lovely brunch. The food, cakes and drinks were lovely. We were warmly welcomed by a new member of staff who was great. Helpfully, he told us there would be a 20/25 min wait on food. 20/25 minutes turned into an hour, and with no follow up or apology from any of the staff, even the more experienced, I don’t feel it satisfactory enough to rate 3 stars. Because it’s poor to receive no acknowledgement to waiting almost over an hour for only two paninis!Even when I approached the bar and asked how much longer we would be waiting, there was no apology or acknowledgement of their poor service. And unfortunately we had places to be and simply didn’t have the luxury of time to enjoy what is a lovely cafe otherwise.

We eat here often - perhaps twice a week on average. It offers a good selection of fresh bites including breakfast, lunch and lighter foods, including some naughty, but nice cakes. My favourite is the bubble and squeak, which is usually on the menu during the winter/spring time. However, lots of other great dishes available. Prices are okay. The inside is small, but never ‘too’ busy. Nice and bright - almost like a summer house or beach café feel. There are plenty of tables/chairs outside too in the beautiful garden, with lovely flowers and plants. Sometimes, a little Robin is flying around. Lots of butterflies but a few too many (dopey) wasps for my liking - particularly during August. The café is tucked away inside the complex that leads to Jesse Smith’s restaurant so it’s hard to miss. But don’t, or you’ll have missed out.

It's not that big inside, so a bit of a squish, but definitely worth it and obviously popular as it filled up quickly during our visit. There are also some nice outside tables in a courtyard area. They have a smallish menu, but were able to accommodate my gluten intolerance and had GF bread. My boyfriend and I both had the bacon and egg bap. We stumbled upon this delightful cafe today. It's down an alley and around a couple of corners but is well worth seeking out. Its lean-to structure also makes it look slightly unpreposessing, but don't be deceived by appearances. This is the definition of a hidden gem. The jacket potato, with brie and mushrooms, was probably the best baked potato I've ever had. And, believe me, I've had a few. I can only describe it as soft-skinned, fluffy-centred and with a slightly nutty taste. An added bonus was that the side salad contained no cucumber. The cakes look fantastic and are all baked by Heather on the premises. Spoilt for choice, I would have been unable to make my mind up, so my dear wife did it for me and we shared a slice of Victoria sponge and courgette cake. The Victoria sponge was absolutely top quality, again easily the best I ever tried. And, believe me, I've had a few. Courgette cake, I must admit, I had never heard of and was slightly sceptical about. I mean, you could actually see the green of the shredded courgette in the cake! But carrot cake works so well, so why not courgette cake? Anyway, courgette cake virgin that I was, I plunged in and was smitten. Very nice indeed, even if it doesn't quite count as one of my five a day. Or does it? Service (at the counter) was very good and prices were very reasonable. I can. Think of several reasons for visiting, or even moving to, Ciren and Heather's Cafe has got to be pretty near the top. I look forward to returning and trying another vegetable-based cake.

If you want something a little bit different from a full english but equally as satisfying then this is well worth a visit. It is well frequented and obviously loved by locals as the seats were filled as soon as they were vacated. Service was quick and with a smile from staff who were working flat out.

Came across Heather's during a short visit to Cirencester. Tucked away off a side street up a little lane. Small, comfortable, warm and friendly. We only had coffee and cake but it was very good. Generous portions of cake and the coffee was very good. Heather's also serve light meals. We would certainly recommend a visit.

Cute, out the way location and nice food. Coffees are a bit weak, and food slightly overpriced but very yummy and all homemade.

Popped in for light lunch on weekday. Very popular with locals but found a table for two ok. I would imagine that options for large parties less easy to find although plenty of space outside in warmer weather.

What a lovely place and lovely welcoming people. It's tucked away down a side alley of old world charm. The Cafe itself is something of a large garden room, cleanly decorated and pleasantly furnished. And cosy on a cold winter's day. There's a great range of savoury meals and snacks and a wonderful selection of cakes. Being late for lunch, we enjoyed home-made tomato, red pepper and Wensleydale soup with crusty bread - absolutely delicious. Great value and service. Will return when next in Cirencester.

This is a hidden gem! It’s a tiny little cafe but in nice weather you can sit outside. The bacon roll was the best I’ve had. Will definitely be visiting again.

We have been here quite often and were always pleased and happy with the food. Even though you might have to wait a bit for your food, it´s worth it. There are only 3 ladies, who are doing their utmost to do a good service, but sometimes you really need to wait. But as said: it´s worth it! And if you want to get in good mood: the ladies will help you in giving you a warm welcome!

We come to Cirencester most weeks and have just discovered Heather’s; what a fantastic find. The cafe is quite small but does have an outside seating area. Set in a pleasant courtyard Heather’s serves light snacks and cakes; the mushrooms and cheese on toast was lovely. With friendly staff and good food we’ll be back.

My self and two friends recently started going for regular weekly lunches here, I wish we had discovered it earlier, what a gem ! It's a very small cafe but with plenty of outside seating for good weather days. The service is so lovely and friendly and the food is delicious and arrives promptly. The portion sizes are very generous and always piping hot as well as being full of flavour. Plenty to choose from on the menu for vegetarians and allergies and the staff are more than happy to adapt things on the menu to suit individual needs. The food is well priced and you can easily have a good filling lunch with a tea or coffee and get change from a tenner. The coffee is great and so are the wonderful cakes. We will definitely continue to support our newly discovered favourite cafe.

Lovely lunch time menu with great food, not too expensive, and excellent service. A touch small, especially when busy, but had a good friendly atmosphere.

The bread and cakes from here are epic - really good Croissant and the Sourdough is top class - can perch indoors if you are lucky or sit outside on some rather flimsy folding chairs, either way teh coffee is very good and even better with a bun! Quality of product is the main attraction, its not a large enterprise like some of the other places nearby. Worth finding.

The cafe is very basic which is fine, however, the prices are too high. Two coffees over nine pounds. We did have oat milk instead of cows and one was decaf but even so that’s the most we have been charged for two medium sized coffees anywhere in the UK. There was even a 10% service charge added to the bill which again was a first for us in a cafe. Staff were very nice but we won’t return. There is a limit to how much we want to pay for coffee. It’s not £9+.

The guy who works here is rude and condescending. Dare you not be a perfect coffee expert and ask for advice on which drink to choose.
