Hemos vuelto y ahora es una cafetería , y el propietario no había respondido a un mensaje o correos electrónicos. No es ético redimir cuando sabes que estás cerrando. A return visit after a few months away and it’s just as great as before. Friendly service and lovely atmosphere created by Maria and Lorenzo. Highly recommend the pork belly and garlic prawns - but all of the dishes were good and the aioli, which came with the bread divine.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee and a sandwich or a piece of cake. Take a chair if you can as it gets quite busy

I visit Picnic Coffee every week for the delicious coffee and lemon drizzle cake. However, the staff just bring my order to the table and walk away without a word or a glance at me. Where are the staff other reviewers praise so highly?

Una excelente experiencia constante en Meadgate. El menú del desayuno era amplio y todos elegimos algo diferente. Todo estaba servido junto y era caliente, sabroso y abundante. ¡Volveremos pronto!

My husband and myself were visiting bath for the Christmas market and were delighted we were going to be in Bath on the same day as old friends we hadn't seen for a few years due to covid and geography. We chose the grumpy baker due to reviews and were not disappointed. We were there for a good few hours and with cases as we were flying home straight after the lunch. No one objected or said we were in the way. We had coffee, toasted Panini's, then tea and delicious cakes. We had not met the children before and basically had a wonderful time in what felt like our living room. The café was busy, pleasant ,welcoming and the staff were always smiling and helpful. I can see why so many families go there. Clean and with lovely food reasonably priced. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular visitor. Merry Xmas to the very happy staff at the Grumpy Baker.

This way, beautifully dressed toddlers; that way, somebody on laptop emails and a healthy breakfast. It's colourful, comfy and creatively imaginative, with nice coffee and enticingly unique cakery (+ great savouries). I was there at 9:45 and just missed the last croissant, but was delighted by the alternative offer. Widcombe must be up-and-coming with this place for the up-and-come; I didn't see anybody in a suit, but you could try it.

A great local cafe offering lovely food and drinks with friendly service, plenty of tables, loo with baby changing. Has good opening hours too. Really nice to know somewhere that’s reliably good to pop into when in the area.

Very nice family run pub/restaurant. The food was really good, the staff were all very friendly. We will be going back!

Food ok, but not worth the money, Expensive, 10% service charge added without informing. Very weak tea. Muffins were soggy and needed to be toasted.
