Delicious vegan roast, generous portions, friendly team, lovely surroundings and situated in a beautiful area. Parking was the only difficulty but that's the nature of a pub in a local village and won't deter us returning. Would definitely recommend for a Sunday roast!

A great find we’ve visited for the regular and Sunday menus and never left disappointed. Delicious food, great service & recently impressed with the accommodations made for a GF member of our party. Clear communication about allergens and our friend was overjoyed to have a GF sticky toffee pudding! Always too eager to eat to take any decent photos but the burrata starter was a stand out at our most recent visit, followed by a perfectly cooked steak.

I highly recommended this pub, the food was incredible ( we both had Moules Frites ) The menu selection was very good, as was the drinks selection, I also recommend the local Somerset Rose...delicious. The staff were ace, very friendly and attentive and the decor is also fab. Lots of ☑️ for The Queens.

We had a one night stayover while attending a nearby festival. The employees here were absolutely fantastic, they were all working really hard yet remained cheerful and attentive. Special shout out to the Manager - Will for looking after us during our stay. The rooms are really lovely and unique and have everything you could need, the in-room breakfast was a bonus when you wake up after a long night and thank you for allowing us to check out a little bit later. We wish we could have had one more night here but as a dog mum I had to get back. We will definitely be recommending you and look forward to returning very soon!

Came in on Sunday with a friend at about 1200 without booking and was easily accommodated. I ordered cod and he ordered a roast. The cod was delicious, cooked perfectly, with tasty mint mushy peas, asparagus, and a large hash brown crispy potato. Could not find any fault with my meal. My friends roast looked great too. We both left with clean plates. Service was excellent, staff super attentive and friendly. I look forward to returning.

Booked here for a joint birthday on saturday for 11 of us. Some of us chefs and still working in the industry/own businesses so food is very important when booking. We chose The Queens because the reviews were great and the menu online looked great. The menu on the day was different but also felt reduced and simplified. I was a bit disappointed it had quite standard options like burger, steak, fish, ham egg and chips but thats not always a bad thing if the food is spectacular. We also didnt mind spending top end for lunch if it was going to be worth it. I ordered bavette which they said would be served pink but on arrival it was overdone and smaller than the other 2. The food was ok, it didnt wow me which was a shame and left feeling underwhelmed. Wine was amazing, staff were so friendly and welcoming, garden was lovely, tidy and sunny. We had a lovely time but not sure id come back and pay that much for the standard of food. Shame.

We had Sunday lunch for 4 of us, 3 of us had the beef and one the Vegetarian Wellington. I must say the services was good, unfortunately the food wasn’t quite as good as the service. The beef was one thick slice which was very nice but really not enough for myself and my son, my son’s girlfriend loved the Veg Wellington she said it’s the best she’s had. Unfortunately the sides and veg left a lot to be desired. Puréed carrot and swede not for us, cabbage mixed with a few peas and courgettes, the cauliflower cheese & broccoli mix was very nice so we’re the roast potatoes . The weird thing was beetroot on the plate, we all left that so a very strange mixture of flavours. Lastly the gravy had a very bland taste and with 4 pints, 3 wines and a pint of coke it came to £220, so a bit more meat, proper carrots and veg that’s not puréed and we will be back. Happy to pay if the meals worth it.

Nothing wrong with the place or food, but I was frankly flabbergasted at the price of a roast. £24 for one thin slice of ‘steak’, 1 Yorkshire pudding, tiny amount of mash, 8 roast potatoes, bowl of peas and kale (shared between two people in a bowl) and some other bits like a tiny beetroot. No cauliflower cheese but no offer of replacement or other food to replace. I think quite frankly the Sunday roast is a complete and utter rip off. At this price point it should be one of the best in country but it’s not even one of the best in Bristol. I would never ever come back.

Not my cup of tea went for Sunday roast, there's alot of flavours going on like cinnamon or star anise in the red cabbage, a spoon of parsnip puree that got mixed in the gravy as it was under the Yorkshire pudding that was literally full of air, you get one slice of pork belly that is also covered in a apple sauce I didn't even taste the stuffing that came with it, we had some green cabbage and some peas and some other thing looked like cucumber tossed in some oil or something, the cauliflower cheese very small portion literally consists of two florets, you get one roast potatoe which is cut in half, it's a very complicated taste, I prefer to taste my veg as appososed to allsorts of added flavours, the jerk chicken wings for starters were bland you can hardly taste anything related to a jerk chicken, it was accompanied by a sauce that was literally a few dribbles, and sprinkled with some chilli seeds, or something sadly not to my taste.

First visit but definitely not our last. Very friendly welcome. We were offered an outside or inside table. We chose to sit inside despite it being a lovely day. Our Sunday roast lunch was superb. Bubble and squeak croquette and squid to start, followed by a pork and a beef roast. Both meats cooked extremely well. Veggies were plentiful and not at extra cost (which seems to a norm these days). Sticky toffee pudding and a pavlova for dessert. All the food was great and obviously home cooked. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

The food was excellent, I had the Cornish brill with asparagus. The portion sizes are generous, the flavour was good. A little bit too much oil on the plate but that was a minor consideration. My family had, sirloin steak which looked perfectly cooked at medium rare. Chicken schnitzel with jerk spices was very good also. The starter of crispy fried squid was delicious but I think they have missed a trick by not having a hot chilli version. The service was good and attentive, even though they were quite busy. All the staff greeted us and we felt welcomed and were offered a free drink by them as it was a double celebration.

The first visit post pandemic and the changes since my last attendance are quite astonishing and a pleasure to behold. Extensive indoor reconfiguration and decor after an expensive refit internally and externally, the garden is most attractively laid out. All it needs is conducive weather (not available on this visit) to be enjoyed. Money has been well spent. Not on the Cask Marque Ale Trail, although it should be. A Bristol Beer Factory 'Tme to Burn' (4%ABV) was well worth a Cask Marque accreditation. The front of staff were also quick to serve a sampler before purchase just as those who are Cask Marque trained are taught to do. Also worth a mention, Mike, our waiter on the day, courteous and attentive but not intrusive, clearly well attuned to customer facing protocol. The meals served, from a menue with many original recipes, was beyond reproach. My own starter, modified to my request and my dining colleague's faddy peculiarities, were catered for without demur. A most enjoyable evening - to be repeated.

Overpriced and there's no toilet in there - a definite no go for me going forward. Also, they charge £3.60 for an Americano, whereas better competitors of theirs charge £3.00 or so. Outside tables are wobbly & indoors is way too squished.

Didi Cakes is my absolute go-to for cakes and cupcakes. I’ve ordered from them multiple times and they have never disappointed. The cakes are perfectly balanced in sweetness, and you can tell they are made with care and quality ingredients. Every order has been delivered on time, which is a huge plus. If you’re looking for delicious, well-made cakes and reliable service, Didi is the place to go!

We visited this Spanish Tapas Restaurant twice. The staff were very friendly especially Maria Lulu and Hannah. The food was delicious. They were very busy so this made service a bit slow think they need more staff. The traditional Sangria was amazing I asked for less sweet. We live in Dubai and had a, lovely chat with Maria about her home country. Highly recommend.

I know. Bath has SO MANY wonderful coffee shops…. But MUS is delightful. Immaculate seating in this intimate location, with exceptional coffee served by genuine Spanish/Colombian speakers. Sit outside or in, stroll down Widcombe’s shopping area or over the road, next to the river, all the way to picturesque Pulteney Bridge. Relax. Or meet for a business meeting that can’t fail to go well. MUS is a MUST.
