Great tapas restaurant You do only need 2 or 3 dishes per person and the food is excellent with friendly efficient staff.

I'm surprised by the good reviews of the food. We had several tapas dishes and none were good. Strange flavors, weird tasting food. The staff was lovely, just the food was pretty dreadful.

If you are opened to serve food and expect to get paid from our hard earned money, have the decency to serve fresh food, how dare you put some unfresh olive and paella on someone's table, really disgusting , and in the most comfortable way possible bring a bill and expect someone to pay money for it? you are giving a bad name to the beautiful Bath. The food was disgusting.

Stopped there after a shopping trip , food was pretty dreadful and certainly was not freshly made! Garlic mint butter on salmon dish was served still frozen , had the pork belly which only 2 bits were crispy, the chicken paella was like left over, not fresh at all, even the olive were sloppy, horrible, not sure how you can be comfortable serving left over and charge people. When mentioned to the waitress about the mint butter that came frozen, the chef said sorry she didn’t notice, didn’t notice? What else could you have put in the food and not notice? Very bad, but we paid the full amount for horrible stuff. Too expensive for what we were served. the only thing I could try and enjoy was green tea only because it was hot. The rest was bad. Most tapas restaurants are great but not this one,

I had just arrived in Bath via bus and was looking for something savory to eat as I wasn't feeling very well. So glad that I found Casa de Tapas! I ordered the "Torreznos" (pork belly) and fries and just loved everything 😍 So crispy and fresh with the right amount for one person to make it a meal from the Tapas 😉😋 Arthur (waiter) was very nice and corteous and made sure to let me know in advance that "Tapas" means little portions. Very thoughtful and to be honest I didn't think the portion was that small... I had read a review complaining about the amount of the portions and in my opinion was not justified 🤔 I definitely recommend this place!

Had dinner with my family here a few days ago. The tapas were really good, perfect portions for sharing and especially loved the sangria! Highlight however had to be the service - we had Maria looking after our table who was so lovely! Really smiley and friendly, she made such a difference to the dining experience :))

Friendly, quick service and lovely sangria!

Amazing. This was a surpriae trip to Bath from Brighton for my partner's birthday. She is Portuguese, and her grandfather married into a Spanish family. She ate the paella and it brought her right back to being a kid at the family dinner. Also the truffle croquette and sparkling sangria was delicious! The staff were so kind. Thank you!

Great food to share with a friend or a group of people….

We phoned to book and we had to phone back because the lady was worried about double booking. When we phoned back 5 mins later she said it was fine to book. We arrived and were crammed on a table too small for us yet there was less than half the restaurant was empty!!!!!! And it remained half emptyfor the entire time we were there!! So we could have had a bigger table and there was no need for me to ring back and faff around when it came to booking!! The banister is the stickiest most dirtiest thing I have ever felt in my entire life! Utterly disgusting!!!! The food is nice and tasty and hot but it doesn't come at the same time and we wern’t told about this! Normally they tell you if it's not going to come at the same time and because of the size of table we couldn't fit everything on our table anyway! It was a nightmare!! The staff were ok but they weren't really very friendly or smiley! Defo not coming back!

Fantastic tapas in the centre of Bath. Booked for a birthday celebration and had fresh cut roses on the table which staff wrapped up for me when we left. We were served by Maria, Lulu and Hannah and they were brilliant, they knew the menu well, were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was great, really tasty, fresh and brought out in stages. The belly pork, prawns and mushrooms were highlights for us. After the meal, I was brought a board with churros, chocolate sauce and ice cream with candles for my birthday. What a lovely touch! Will 100% be back and highly recommend

We had the hen do celebration here and it was amazing. The restaurant was so kind to decorate for us with neon light and balloons. The bride got a free Prosecco and everyone got a pink tequila shot at the end too. All the food were very delicious, Maria who were looking after us were super friendly and helpful. It was a perfect night!

We visited this Spanish Tapas Restaurant twice. The staff were very friendly especially Maria Lulu and Hannah. The food was delicious. They were very busy so this made service a bit slow think they need more staff. The traditional Sangria was amazing I asked for less sweet. We live in Dubai and had a, lovely chat with Maria about her home country. Highly recommend.

The service was first class - friendly, prompt, attentive. They also managed my dairy and gluten free diet without batting an eyelid - not embarrassing me in front of others, providing advice and helping me to eat something I could have. The food was great. A good place to eat!

We pre booked as a 4, my wife and I and 2 grown up daughters. Wonderful Tapas on Saturday evening, very helpful and attentive service ( Isabella and Hannah) prompt food and drink, and lovely setting. Would definitely recommend it.

Was about to be offered a table, but then refused service because they couldn’t be bothered. The front of house muttered something about saving the tables for other potential customers.

The food was amazing and the staff were brilliant. Lovely atmosphere. Just wish we had bigger appetites to enjoy more because it was lush, will definitely be back. Great place for a ladies night.

Pork belly was succulent and they served around 6 pieces for 8£ which I guess was okay. But the bowl in which it was served was pathetically small as I was scared to move the pieces from the bowl to the plate. Guess they did that to show that they are serving more. But I can safely assume like pointed in other reviews that quantity can be small for the money based on this experience

Absolute gem of a find! Tastefully decorated, subtly reminiscent of Spain (including in the clean toilets). Lorentz and specially Maria were lovely. She recommended amazing dishes-drinks I wasn't sure of before ordering, but LOVED upon trying! Definitely coming here again, when I'm in Bath! 💛

Popped in for lunch today and the food and service were excellent. Great choice of dishes, gorgeous flavours. Will definitely be back.

And the award for the best waitress/server goes to….. MARIA 👏🏻 - she is the most loveliest person to have ever served me. She was enthusiastic, seemed happy with her job and provided an amazing service. Now onto the food & drink. The white wine sangria in the summer is a must- get the jug! It is so nice, refreshing and boozy. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. When we visited it was nice and quiet which is great for my autism so I really enjoyed it.

No idea how the food tastes as we did not get beyond the front door. We were ‘greeted’ with a waitress with her elbow on the counter which did not move during our enquiries. We were asking if we needed to book a table and about the paella dish. Because she made no effort to come over to us she kept repeating the phrase. “ you say what?” She had a could not be bothered attitude. This was extremely off putting and we would never eat in a premises with such bad manners. Naturally we left and ate elsewhere.

Very poor dining experience. Food was extremely overpriced and poor service from the start. Very small portions compared to so many other tapas restaurants. To top it off, our waitress was extremely rude. Would not recommend.

Delicious tapas. We were really well looked after, and as it was my birthday I was treated to a couple of churros and some beautiful red roses. Have to recommend the Berry sangria !!

Fantastic tapas restaurant with a great venue and superb food. The truffle croquettes are delicious and the lamb neck with rosemary is amazing. My wife loved the venue style and the short rib was perfect. Thanks for a great night.

We were delighted to stumble upon Casa DeTapa on an out of season Monday evening after trying to find a non-chain restaurant for dinner before a show and it did not disappoint! While quiet, the restaurant felt cozy and inviting and manager Evie made us feel so welcome and could not have been more accommodating when we had to make a hasty exit to make our show in time :) packing up our leftovers to take with us. We had six tapas dishes to share and found our eyes were too big for our bellies!! The food was delicious and our visit made all the more enjoyable by the impeccable hospitality.

I came to have a quick and light dinner and it exceeded my expectations! service was quick and staff (Jade and Dima) was lovely! I ordered the cordero (lamb neck) and tomato salad and they were super tasty. After asking for recommendations, I also got a chorizo croqueta, a special: delicious and the flavour was really balanced.

Visited on a quiet Sunday evening however the restaurant was still atmospheric. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. The selection of food was great and absolutely delicious! We would definitely visit again.

I booked Casa de Tapas for my daughter’s hen party, 14 guests on a Saturday night. From the moment I made the booking, Evie made us feel special. Nothing was too much trouble, including some very specific dietary requirements. When we arrived, there were balloons, decorations, Prosecco for the bride & even a plate of personalised churros! Our tapas were served steadily, each dish lovingly & carefully described & were without exception, outstanding. The food is authentic & truly amazing here! It was a perfect evening & I cannot thank Evie & her staff enough for giving my daughter & her friends such a special & memorable evening!

We visited Casa De Tapas while on a short break to the city of Bath. The restaurant is conveniently situated in the centre of the city, lovely food and helpful attentive waitress. We’d definitely go again next time!!

My husband and I had a late night meal here after travelling to Bath for a break. We booked a 9pm table and we were not rushed in the slightest, encouraged to take our time with choosing and Evie who served us was a darling. She was so knowledgable about the menu and made suggestions and recommendations too in which she got absolutely spot on. They were delicious. She even wrote down a list of recommended places to visit for cocktails during our stay, she couldn't have been more accommodating if she tried. This is some of the best Tapas I've ever had and if we find ourselves back in Bath we will be sure to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Don't know if ownership or chef has changed but food is not as good as it has been previously. Presentation and taste was a lot different than before, quite poor. Still OK but along way from previous visits
