A great local cafe offering lovely food and drinks with friendly service, plenty of tables, loo with baby changing. Has good opening hours too. Really nice to know somewhere that’s reliably good to pop into when in the area.

Jacket potatoes absolutely lovely and the garnish was also excellent, although quite busy service was very quick. Staff all very attentive and efficient.

Wonderful little cafe. I was served by a very kind waitress called Maddy. The breakfast was outstanding and I will definitely be a regular at this exquisite establishment.

I visited Peasedown on a mild October day and dined at the Meeting Place cafe. The last time I went to this village the only cafe was in the shop next door to this which was very much smaller and is now a hairdressers. This cafe is run by a local church group - it has about a dozen tables inside with more available out the front and the rear. There is quite an extensive menu and the food is well-priced. I chose a breakfast (with cappuccino) at less the £10. Note - this is only available until 11:30 am although the cafe's website does not mention this. I arrived a little after this but was still served so full marks for customer service there. You order at the counter and the stuff is bought to your table. The drink was served at the same time as the food - which was delicious. There is a customer toilet which was kept very clean. This is very much a 'meeting place' for locals so there are conversations going throughout - so if you are a student or a businessman looking to do some work on a laptop over lunch then this may not be the place for you! Otherwise recommended.

Excellent sandwich, panini and pulled pork. Impressed by the "real" lemon and ginger tea, freshly brewed in a pot (no teabag!). The garden at the back had shady areas and was the perfect setting for lunch. Thank you.

Have been here numerous times to meet friends, have lunch or get on with some work! Atmosphere always excellent - chilled & friendly, and could safely say that the coffee is the best around here! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Very friendly owner and staff, beautiful selection of food and cakes, including vegetarian options. I ordered jacket potato, cheese and roasted veggies and was offered three cheeses to chose from. And I enjoyed the coffee, too for a very reasonable price!

Good service , excellent menu and cake selection. The only negative was that it was extremely hot and steamy and therefore it would benefit from some sort of ventilation.

The one and only 'coffee bar' that once was in the village, closed down nearly two years ago and was much missed. While pleasant enough, it was a small place with limited covers and limited offerings. The Meeting Place which was formerly 'Mandy's Discount Store' selling cheap bric-a-brac, is a much better funded and larger enterprise, run and owned by local people. Community orientated with a Christian feel to the place; there are connections to local churches and good deeds. The general appearence is clean, uncluttered and the ambience affable. With more outside seating available, this will be a pleasant place to sit on those occasions when the weather is pleasant, drinking tea or coffee, having a light bite while being amused by the confusion of the passing traffic. Despite the by-pass Peasedown can be a tiresome drive-through most of the time. There is also an as yet, unexploited back garden. Ideas about BBQ's and the like are still thoughts in progress - but more on this later - watch this space. No alchohol, but the bacon butties are to die for. Repeat visits assured.

Popped into their new location in the Ram this morning, with a friend. Amazing, great coffee, a secret sausage roll to die for, great staff...time to chat and a great atmosphere.

I visit Picnic Coffee every week for the delicious coffee and lemon drizzle cake. However, the staff just bring my order to the table and walk away without a word or a glance at me. Where are the staff other reviewers praise so highly?

Visited this cafe with my 2 children, we had a drink first the children done some colouring which they enjoyed, We then went into the soft play area cost £4 per child adult £1 , your in there for a hour, the children had a lovely time, my only complaint is they were not allowed to leave the soft play area for a drink as if they did they wouldn’t be allowed back in,
