We booked one of their downstairs rooms for cocktails/drinks and nibbles. It was lovely and clean and well set out for the 8 of us. Service was fantastic and they read our minds and appeared when we were thinking of our next drinks. Very professional and made our party feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed, says will open ‘weather permitting’ at 0800, we arrived at 0940 on a bright spring morning, but Deck on the go not open, asked when they would open and told ‘not sure they were busy doing things’. Drove by 10 minutes later after getting coffee elsewhere and they were open. So our limited contact says they don’t care about customers and don’t need new trade.

We stopped here for breakfast, I ordered the full cooked breakfast (vegetarian) - it was the best I'd eaten! The sausages were amazing and meat-like. I also had a lot of avocado, almost too much with two beautifully cooked yellow eggs. All served in good time as we had an appointment. Would definitely recommend.

There's quite a few options for coffee in Winchester, the usual "High street" chains and a few independent specialty Cafes and bakery-type establishments. Just away from the main drag and off The Square (near the Cathedral) this place was a nice surprise. Sadly I only had time to visit for coffee (the food menu looked really good) but can certainly recommend. Really friendly greeting from the staff, I got a nice seat with a view across to the Cathedral whilst lot's of other patrons took advantage of outdoor seating on a sunny day. Order taken efficiently, the coffee was excellent and the atmosphere inside and out was really pleasant. I will certainly visit again!

I had an awesome meal at Greens! The Bubble and Squeak was honestly so good - I wasn't expecting it to be as tasty as it was. It had a really great balance of flavors, and it was just really comforting. The service was quick, and the staff were on point. Molly and Jay were working when I was there, and they were both really friendly and made sure I was well taken care of. Jay, in particular, was super easy to chat with - such a nice guy! The vibe inside was great, too. It’s the kind of place that works for a chilled lunch or a fun spot for cocktails in the evening. I’ll definitely be back!

Just finished a fantastic Sunday lunch here. We had the roast pork and the sausages & mash (on special). My Roast pork was one of the best I've ever had, (my only criticism is that there could have been more of it) the roast potatoes were lovely and crispy and fluffy inside, all accompanied with a superb veg selection of steamed savoy cabbage, carrot and swede mash, broccoli and red cabbage. The gravy that came with it seemed to be specifically pork gravy and was delicious. I asked for stuffing with the pork and extra gravy. Nothing was too much trouble and I will definitely be going back again even tho it's 25 minutes drive, it is well worth it. 5 stars without hesitation!

Friendly little cafe hidden from the main area. We had tried to get into another of the town’s cafes but it was busy. Luckily we came across the Anvil on our way back to the car. The building itself is beautiful and very quaint. We ordered a Ploughman’s and a French onion soup. The soup was nicely hot and came with the requested gluten free bread as advertised. I have yet to find gf bread nicer than this and thoroughly enjoyed it with lashings of butter. The ploughman’s was plentiful with fresh salad garnish and lots of cheddar, stilton and gammon ham. The service was great and the food being brought out looked fresh and a good portion size. One to try if you’re in the area. There’s a nice little outdoor seating area for warmer days. We look forward to coming again.

We visited here twice yesterday and had excellent service, excellent coffees and in the afternoon excellent teas. We didn't eat anything and not sure if they catered for my vegan/GF diet but the ambience was great, the service excellent and we both enjoyed our visits.
