Very disappointed, says will open ‘weather permitting’ at 0800, we arrived at 0940 on a bright spring morning, but Deck on the go not open, asked when they would open and told ‘not sure they were busy doing things’. Drove by 10 minutes later after getting coffee elsewhere and they were open. So our limited contact says they don’t care about customers and don’t need new trade.

Bottomless brunch was fantastic. Very lovely team looked after the table. Christmas specials were suggested and the team were right. Fab time. Lovely staff. Great food. Brilliant price.

After a nice walk on the Meon Valley trail we stopped at the Deck outside of the Mill. Doing a good trade judging by the queue. Chose Tea, Hot Choc, a brownie and a blueberry cake. Both the cakes were fab. Blueberry was vegan too. Nice setup and friendly too.

First time visit since taking the place of Offbeat. Booked a table via email with no hassle. Reserved seating to choose from on arrival. Lovely welcome and service. Food gorgeous as was the coffee. Busy place so recommend booking. 2 meals and 3 coffees came to £27.00.

Have just returned from our second visit to The Deck and are we as impressed as with the first visit. The breakfast is the best available on the area and the bubble and squeak, topped with PPE (perfectly poached eggs!) was superb. A lovely pecan pie and espresso finished lunch off to perfection. We were able to sit ouside by the mill stream, being a lovely early autumn day but inside is very good as well. Not the cheapest place in the area but very high quality ingredients, presumably locally sourced. I should mention the friendly staff who do a great job. I hope that locals and visitors to Chesapeake Mill support this establishment as they deserve to succeed.

First time visiting after new ownership. Bloody marvellous! I had a traditional breakfast and I could not fault it at all and the roast tomatoes on the vine topped it off perfectly as did the scatter of greenery. My son's Brownie was the best I have every tasted (we shared our food!) and he loved everything on the breakfast plate too especially the grilled Sourdough and sausage! I peeped over at another table's food and that looked delicious too and there were happy murmurings coming from the diners! Service was really professional too and all delivered with genuine smiles and chattiness. Our drinks were served quickly and properly. We felt very welcome and it made our Sunday afternoon. Defo will be back and definitely a trip over Emsworth to sister restaurant is on the cards. Thank you :)

First visit. Very friendly welcome, lovely surroundings. Good menu with something for all palettes, competitive prices. I can highly recommend the crushed avocado on sourdough - perfection on a plate! My companion had classic eggs Benedict, her verdict was "possibly the best I have ever had". The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. Looking forward to a return visit.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat after browsing around the mill. Staff were very accommodating. Beautiful little spot within the mill allowing a very pretty view onto the water! We ordered the bubble and squeak and a trusty egg and cress sandwich which were both delicious. Not forgetting the carrot cake too! We'll be sure to head back to out the rest of the menu!

A soupçon less charm ... After the extension, but quite a bit more room. Unpretentious and cordial service. Unusual and tasty Ching-chings. Some seats are nice and comfy, whereas others are made for people with larger bottoms and twizzle-legs. Food and entertainment were not sampled by your humble reviewer. In the interests of fairness and balance, some of my friends love the cabinet rooms and others do not. There, my conscience is clear.

This has just become our new favourite pub! Fantastic food (the chocolate and biscoff tart is to die for), lovely relaxed atmosphere and great service - our waitress (Holly) was so helpful and friendly. Thank you!

A lovely pub from the outside. Nice garden. Today is Mother's day so pressure on. Our meal time was booked at 2.30pm but they had over booked and we had to wait until 3pm but wasn't ready then either. Set menu for Mother's day. We had a 3 course. We were in a party of 8 no children's menu today. 2 starters ordered. Came out but waited another hour for mains to come out. Server hadn't sent other mains through to kitchen. The food was nice but servers were very clueless. No water offered or asked if we need condiments or any allergys. My crumble came out in a bowl heaped high but no room to pour custard. All very apologetic but that's it. Kept saying sorry we have had 210 bookings today. Then the bill came it was wrong some of our party had only ordered a main but was charged for 2 set meals. No attempt of free puddings for cock ups. Least the staff were pretty. I'd come again on a normal day because the venue was nicely decorated and they have a play area.

First time in the square cow pub today, straight away staff found a table for us even though they were fully booked. Amazing atmosphere with old fashioned values. The meal was by far the best pub roast iv ever had with more meat then I expected and a fully traditional roast which we all find hard to find nowadays, staff were all very kind and happy and even the owner asked how our meal was and if there was anything he could do for us. Sadly old fashioned proper warm pubs like this aren't around any more so I will definitely be recommending it to everyone. Thank you square cow the roast was delicious.
