I am really disappointed to be writing this as I am not one for complaining but the fact it is still playing on my mind two days later I need to get this off my chest. We took my sister here for Afternoon Tea and I can only say it was definitely not worth £18 each. There were three very small finger sandwiches, three small cakes and the most enormous scone which was dry and we were not given enough cream and jam to enjoy it. Plus when we asked for a second pot of tea they said did we want to use the same teabag? Sorry no we want a fresh one! It completely spoiled our treat. And then there was the toilet- I asked to use this before I left and they said they had just start to clean it so I asked to use the other one and was told they had already done that one! I felt bad because they had to stop. Please wait until you are closed before you do this!

My sister booked the cafe for a surprise Christmas present for myself and our mum.The cafe you have to book time slots of which you can only turn up a few minutes beforehand and you get let in due to the cats being loose. The staff here were all very friendly and the while idea with the cats and cat theme is brilliant the only reason this place didn't get a five star was the fact I had a waffle to eat which came with ice cream and no one told me it was vegan as I kept saying this ice cream taste weird and put me off the waffle hot chocolate was delicious from here too

I went with my friends and partner to watch the England v Spain game. Sadly England lost but the atmosphere was still great in there. The land lady made sure she found a seat for everyone, grabbing the garden chairs from the back and rearranging the tables so everyone could get a glimpse of a goal. When the match was ending, all of the tables were given a bowl of roasties to share on the house. The land lady was chatty and kind. The staff were also really nice. It is a small pub on the edge of romsey but I would definitely go there again.

Nice store but too expensive for me. I use the cafe though despite the freezing air conditioning on cold days! Disabled toilet in ladies fashion area is not assessed by those with knowledge and understanding. The unnecessarily very heavy door doesn't open fully so it's difficult if not impossible for a frail person with a rollator or wheelchair to get in or out without someone holding the door open. Theres no coat hook! Are they expected to put their coats on the floor (not not that they would be able to bend down and pick it up)? We did request that a coat hook be put there months ago and it was promised. Obviously they have no imagination as to what it's like to manage as a disabled person.

Fabulous 'Tipsy Tapas' evening with friends! We booked a table for 9 persons and really enjoyed the 'Tipsy Tapas' experience....food was excellent, service friendly and professional. Drinks flowed for the two hour event, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Highly recommended and great value!

We visited Costa Romsey yesterday afternoon and ordered 2 decaf cappuccinos. Apart from the fact the milk was served as a bubbly foam rather than the creamy texture it should have been, the coffee was horribly strong and bitter. We realised very soon after we’d left that our coffees had not been decaffeinated as requested when my mum had a terrible reaction with jitters and palpitations which lasted until the early hours of this morning. I don’t know whether Bex (who took our order), got it wrong or the barista wasn’t concentrating, but this was a serious mistake which had some very unpleasant consequences.

I just dropped in to buy bread & cakes, and noticed a tray of succulent looking lemon tarts.........On arriving home I was tempted to try the lemon tart with a cup of coffee. What a disaster. Virtually NO lemon in it at all. Just a sweetish gunge. It really was unpleasant to eat..................

We came upon this wonderful pub by sheer chance. As soon as we walk into the seating area we felt it was a good place. The landlord straight away spoke to us and made us feel very welcome. I had the homemade fish fingers, absolutely delicious. My husband had the sauceage baguette and said it was very good. Each meal came with a nice side salad, crisps and all very fresh. We sat near the fire on very comfortable sofas. They have a delightful dog called Pride who is 12 and very friendly. The service was spot on and good well go see for yourself. Will defiantly be back.

Coffee is good and well made, however it is always incredibly busy and some of the staff tend to rush through the orders (understandably) and the training seems to vary across all staff. There are a few which forget to give loyalty stamps for reusable cups and it seems really hit or miss.

As with all National Trust cafes very over priced for what you get, we had to wait ages to be served, the sandwiches were freshly made but that held things up even more, my slice of orange and poppyseed cake was tiny for £4, sandwiches no garnish just bread and the filling for £7, if we go again it will be a long time and probably take a picnic I could understand if a footman delivered it to us but that wasn’t the case.
