Visited with family including my 6 yo son, cafe and staff were brilliant! Cats were all very friendly and well looked after. We had toasted sandwiches and drinks which were all delicious. Spotlessly clean everywhere, staff were helpful too. Very relaxing and calm. Pre-booking is a must, will definitely be returning!

We had a really nice pit stop at the cafe today, just stopping for a few hot drinks. We really enjoyed our time at the cafe, all the cats were so lovely and you can tell how looked after they are. Although we didn’t eat there, the food coming out looked tasty and the cafe looked cleanly and well taken care of which is always reassuring with animals present.

Popped in to use a voucher for afternoon tea. Welcomed at the door by the owner (I think) who was super warm and friendly, showed to our table and talked through what to expect - great. Afternoon tea was a mixture of delicious cake’s & sandwiches, clotted cream and little pots of jam. I will say the coffee is very good and these were refilled. We were sat in the conservatory end, which was bright and had a good view of the garden and cats as they moved around being made a fuss of. Liked the information card about the cats, nice to have a little insight into them 🐈🐈⬛ Overall, if you’re a cat lover, book and go here. You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely café with lots of cats about. Cats are able to move freely and there are toys and spots for them to get away / rest. Need to pre-book a slot for entry, and afternoon tea was unfortunately fully, but normal menu had good options including Gluten Free. Good service & atmosphere. Recommend for Cat fans.

We were made to feel very welcome by all of the staff at the cafe as soon as we arrived and throughout our visit. Being able to see the cats so at home and doing cat things (particularly avoiding any attempts to be fussed over) made us feel like it was home from home as we are used to being ignored by our own cats too .Loved it so much we will be back with the rest of our cat mad family who bought us the afternoon tea experience for our wedding anniversary. By the way the food was very nice too. Thank you

Visited for first time today with a lunchtime booking. Booked over the phone easily and pre-paid the £5 per person fee cat charge. They explain what this is for and as cat lovers ourselves of course we obliged. This goes towards their care and the charity. Leaflet on table explains who each cat is and about them which is so nice to read and also see them around doing their favourite things. It’s explained what you can and can’t do as well. All easy stuff to follow. Several tables in but able to move around with our masks on to find the cats and see them without disturbing others.Food was just what you need at a cafe and plenty of choice plus a range of drinks. All staff were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely visit again soon!

Wow! This place surpassed all of our expectations! I took my sister and niece as a surprise and they were thrilled! One of, if not cleanest cafes Ive ever been to and it smelled so good (not of animals if you were wondering). Food was fantastic and it was great to come at Christmas because of the decorations and the festive menu, we had the brie, cranberry and bacon panni and my niece had the cheese toasty! The cats were just amazing so sweet and lovely and a real highlight to our visit! The vibe of the cafe was super cosy real home from home! We even got some cat merchandise! This cafe is amazing and will defo be back!

We had looked forward to trying out the cat cafe having seen it when we were in Romsey. Today we travelled especially to go there. Our cat had recently been run over and we needed some cat cuddles. Firstly we were made to wait for too long in the porch without any indication that we had been seen. Not a major problem but irritating with two small excited children. Then we were told that there was an hours slot and we were too late for it. I pointed out that there was no indication of ‘time slots’ on the front of the building ( in fact only opening hours are beautifully inscribed on the glass of the door). I was then told that it says this on the tv screen outside ( it doesn’t as I checked) and the website ( why would I check the website first before going to a cafe?) The lady asked if I had booked ( no) but then seemed to take umbridge and said there was no space. Im afraid I challenged this and she said I was rude ( I wasn’t I simply pointed out that none of this information was on the building). She then ‘checked’ and said they only had 2 spaces ( although seven people had just left). Next time, a simple, ‘ have you made a booking?’ ‘ oh you haven’t? Well let me check if we have space’ would suffice. You have made it difficult to be a customer with unnecessary barriers, poor signage and poor customer service. I have to say that the attitude of this lady has completely put me off going and I will definitely be warning others. My children were left upset. This is a charity and relies on customers to enable this lady to stay employed and the cats fed. You would think with the Covid restrictions that they would be biting your hand off to get you in. Sadly not.

The venue itself is beautifully laid out, the cats are well looked after and it’s great they have an outside area. I’m just shocked at the quality of the food, pre packaged sandwiches that are very poor quality. We looked at the menu before planning to go as it was a birthday lunch, with the prices they charge I was at least expecting freshly made sandwiches with nice bread however what we got is your standard service station sandwich which cost £5-£7.I would definitely return if they started making their own food. Or just swerve the food entirely and go for a coffee.

I am not a cat person but my partner likes animals so we visit a cat cafe. However, the cats are really socialable, the environment and rules allow them to decide to interact with you not the opposite way round. That said if you sit with the feather on a string/stick 4 cats appear to play.

So she took me here to cheer me up and it was a fabulous experience. There are 7 cats living here at this cafe. We we were able to stoke and play with them. They made us laugh and gave us joy. Two of them should be in the GB Gymnastic team as their leaps to catch the feathers at the end of the string were spectacular! The refreshments were great too. I would temper this review by saying...I'm not much of a cat person, my wife is, so I respect her wishes of wanting to go in here. We had some fantastic cakes and a nice cuppa whilst the cats, slept, lolled around and played. The ladies who work here really enjoy what they do. You make a donation on top of your bill for the upkeep of the cats (Sorry if I have got that wrong and it goes to a cat charity) but when it was mentioned to me I was just focused on getting through the 30 minutes of cat heaven. Service was very good and the ladies were all chatty and friendly. Nowhere near as traumatic as i thought it was going to be, no fur balls or scratches.

This is a great place, It is small so if busy could be more difficult to meet the 7 cats. We went 2 o'clock on a Monday and at one point we were the only ones. We had their afternoon tea for 2. When we arrived where shown to our table which was ready with the cake plate, they looked good, sandwiches then arrived with a large cat teapot of tea. We were told the rules about the cats, no feeding or picking them up. We then went looking for them, they were all sleeping in different places, it was a hot day. The cats were very chilled out, very contented and well looked after. We enjoyed the tea and the cats company, even if we had to go to them. The cafe itself is nicely decorated, with cute spaces for the cats. We went as a group of 5 and they are not set up for this size group. Most of the cats were outside where some children had settled themselves so no chance of getting near the cats. The food was expensive and not great we had a sandwich and piece of cake each and it was mediocre. Total cost for a hot drink sandwich cake and entry came to £45 for 3 people so £15 a head, a little pricey. They could do with a larger area outside and maybe some larger tables. A nice enough place, but not upmarket enough to justify the prices. Cats were cute, but difficult to fuss when small children were all over them they looked like they’d had enough.

We visited here when passing through bournemouth and I just love this place. Perfect place to relax have a cuppa and if lucky a cuddle with one of the resident cats! Well thought out with the interest of cats in mimd. The cats come first and move around at ease in their own space and time. They are not stuck being chased by kids as have many places they can sit, hide or climb. The cats choose if they come to you and if your lucky they may have a cheeky play with you. Whilst I was there I had a cuppa and tasty flapjack, all of which is kept neatly packed hidden from any nosey mouths. To be honest they was not the slightest bit ineterested in me as I was more interested in them haha...If you are peckish have a little somethng as all the proceeds go towards the funding of the cat care most of whom are rescue cats being looked after and cared for so all helps. It is best to book in advance as does get busy but we was lucky to walk in. A small fee is required but again proseeds go to the cats and its a different afternoons break. Situated in town but up the end towards KFC and The Round House hotel its easy walking and parking near by. Great afternoon spent being with cats!

With the thought this would be a unique experience we booked online and paid the £5pp "entry fee". We found the staff to be more aloof and disinterested than the cats and felt we had been been given a great honour to sit in a below average cafe with very poor quality cakes in tiny portion sizes. We were still finishing our drinks when the bill was dropped on the desk and we were informed that we still had 15 minutes left but here is the bill. Our selection of charity items we were going to purchase were put back in disgust. Having put the payment down we waited for someone to come and collect and when no one turned up ten minutes later (we were seated next to the counter) and they seemed more interested in their own conversations. We went to leave. This finally got their attention with a shriek "they are going have they paid!". Perhaps they though that my 81 year old mother in law would make a dash across Romsey. Completely and utterly disgusted. £50 down the drain. There was only one other table present. The cats were lovely and very friendly.

This cafe is a must do if you love cats. There are 7 cats in total, all of which are friendly and sweet, although we do have to say Teddy is our favourite with his cheeky personality.

Very cute & cosy place with cats just doing what they do. Mixed characters. Have to book a slot so don't get to busy & can enjoy nice panini or cake while playing or stroking the fur babies. Tommy is our favourite, charming with one eye, cheeky chappy who live a stroke & sun bathe. Nice place to visit, very clean & cats seem very content.

My friend and I decided to visit the cat cafe for a different place to have afternoon tea and a catch up. I adore cats and have always wanted to visit a cat cafe so was very excited. I had such a lovely time and I have to say mostly that was down to the staff who were so helpful and friendly. I honestly felt like nothing was too much for them. They were very knowledgable on the cats and any questions we had they were happy to answer. Customer service wise I cannot fault them!

A gorgeous little place, I took my mum here for mothers day and it really made her day. The cats are incredibly beautiful and clean and the cafe itself is incredibly clean. It is such a novel idea and on I would recommend you try - it's really relaxing!

I had never heard of a cat cafe until a friend told me about them very recently. We had a trip booked to Southampton with nothing in particular on our agenda, so we thought we would pay a visit it Paws for Thought. We were not disappointed! Since getting our two cats just under two years ago I have turned into a crazy cat lady!

Visited the Cafe with my wife as a treat for her birthday and we were not disappointed. The coffee and food were great and the staff were very professional. The cats were very well behaved and I would highly recommend a visit here.

Shopping in Romsey and spotted Paws for Thought, we were warmly welcomed despite not having an appointment. The café is so clean and bright, staff are very friendly and the coffee and cakes are fantastic, but the important bit to mention are the gorgeous young cats who are absolutely adorable. They are so well cared for and socialised, they love fuss and attention and are real characters. Look out for Teddy, the one eyed cheeky napkin thief, he's so entertaining. I can't recommend this place highly enough and will return on a regular basis.

Booked an afternoon tea for my mum's 80th , they are lovely will do their very best to get you anything you need. Put up a banner for mums 80th and really made an effort and would like to say thank you very much. The cats are lovely very happy cats, love to play and be among the visitor's. The cakes and sandwiches were really nice and will ask you what fillings you would like. I can't thank them enough for making mums day special and one to remember

The cats are sweet and playful, and it was a pleasure to meet them. Food a bit disappointing - artificial tasting cakes, poor coffee, but toasted sandwiches were fine.

Lovely place to grab a cuppa, lunch and cake whilst enjoying the company of 7 adorable cats, a must for any cat lover. Only downside you can only stay an hour 😸

Popped in for snack & a drink whilst enjoying the rescue cats inside . The cats are clearly well looked after & very happy in their environment. The staff were all very friendly & the service was excellent . We had a slice of cake each & my daughter is vegan which wasn’t an issue as there were suitable alternatives . All in all a lovely place & will go again .

I've been to cat cafés in Ireland and Britain before so knew, generally, what to expect. I didn't have food so I can't speak to how it was but I had a lovely latté which was brought over to my table. The staff, a mum and daughter the day I was there, are very friendly and clearly care about the cats. The ďécor was charming and the surroundings relaxing.

Been to the cat cafe a few times, and love every minute of it. Staff so friendly, especially the owner, who makes an effort to speak to everyone during their visit. The cats are clearly happy and well cared for. They even have their own little room to retreat to if they want to escape the company of their guests, which they don’t seem to want to do. All of them seem more than happy to make themselves at home on your lap or sat cuddled in next to you.

I loved the vibe of this cafe, really relaxing and cute. Staff were really friendly and helpful too. I don’t mind the £5 per person donation. However the coffees and cakes we had were somewhat lack lustre considering the price we paid. If the owners were prepared to invest a little more in better quality coffee and to make the portion sizes a little bigger this place would be perfect.

Myself and my partner popped into cafe as we had not been to a cat cafe before and were curious. We were told upon arrival there was a £5 charge per person which we agreed too. We ordered two coffees(which werent very nice, automated machine coffes), a bag of crisps and a brownie. This all came to £20, with the extra charges. I understand asking for donations but i believe £5 per person is steep. We were only there for 20 mins max and left feeling like we had wasted money.

The place has a lovely atmosphere, lovely decor and adorable cats. HOWEVER, the coffee is horrendous - £3 for a watery cappuccino and an unpleasant soya milk hot chocolate. Very disappointed that there wasn’t a dairy free option for the coffees.

Felt rather rushed as they have one hour bookings and I do think that is quite expensive for £5pp plus whatever you order in the cafe. 3 x hot drinks, 2 cold drinks, 2 pieces of cake and a cookie cost me £38! A rather expensive hour! This has hugely put me off returning which is a shame as we enjoyed it and loved the idea and the decor. I would have rated 4 for the experience but the coffee was rubbish, the cakes from Costco and to spend £38 for it- I felt rather robbed!

I went with my friends and partner to watch the England v Spain game. Sadly England lost but the atmosphere was still great in there. The land lady made sure she found a seat for everyone, grabbing the garden chairs from the back and rearranging the tables so everyone could get a glimpse of a goal. When the match was ending, all of the tables were given a bowl of roasties to share on the house. The land lady was chatty and kind. The staff were also really nice. It is a small pub on the edge of romsey but I would definitely go there again.

Adequate for a one night stay. Staff were most welcoming and helpful. The check-in with the corporate IT system proved problematic. It refused to take my visa card(s) - 3, and we eventually paid by cash. The staff were excellent, and service was also first class.
