Went here for a Father's Day meal with family and friends. We all had a roast which was absolutely amazing. Great to see creamed leeks, cauliflower cheese and swede on the plate. The beef and potatoes were cooked to perfection. The staff were warm and welcoming and very attentive, nothing to much trouble. To top it off, a local singer kept us entertained making it a very pleasant experience

Stopped here with friends for a bit of Sunday lunch,from arriving made to feel very welcome by all staff especially the girl behind the bar who was happy with a great sense of humour. Food was absolutely fantastic in every way couldn’t fault the Sunday roasts here! We had a lamb shank a beef a belly pork and a hunters chicken no complaints all round. Would definitely recommend and return when in the area

Great Place to go. Got greeted at the door as mum was in a wheelchair. Lovely staff, great food, great atmosphere. Food was really hot and arrived quick. Would recommend going at any time. Even just for drinks but try the food while your there. Xx

Went here for our sons birthda last night, having been our 'very' local a few years ago. Food had always been excellent but last night I could have done better with my eyes shut!!! The lovely barmaid was a breath of fresh air but the food is poo!! £90 charged after a haggle of 4 out 5 meals ordered were inedible - foul mouthed female patrons also spoilt the evening. All round extremely bad experience .... rather go to burger van on Walworth Industrial Estate - at least he can cook!!! Minus 5 stars if I was allowed! 🤬

Cold pub. Ordered food. Waited an hour to discover the Chef doesn't know the diffrence between 'Pork Belly' or 'Pork Chops' out of 5 meals ordered, only one was edible, served on cold plates. Chicken Schnitzel like shoe leather, couldn't even put a plate of Nachos together properly. A real shambles...

A very, very cold pub. Could not take off my coat. Waited over an hour for my meal. When the meal came up it wasn't recognisable as the dish that I ordered. I would not have served it to my worst enemy. It was not even edible. This is not the same pub and restaurant that I attended many years ago. Sorry I will not be attending again. I would not recommend it o anyone either.

First time eating at The Whit Hart and we had great meals. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.

Have come a few times now since Kyle and Amy have taken over, it’s always been amazing. The roasts we had on our last visit were delicious and plentiful. It’s so good to see this little village pub up and running again! Definitely worth a visit. Always 10/10.

Thought I book to have Sunday lunch, for the 3 of us. As there is a 2 for one on Sunday roast. The staff were lovely, the pub seems nice. A bit cold where we were sitting. For the price we paid for a roast, we didn’t think it was worth what we paid. A few roast potatoes, not much veg between the 2 of us. I asked for more gravy, the waitress, said there wasn’t any more & would have to make more. They didn’t bother. Asked for more apple sauce & said there wasn’t any more. To say we hardley had any in the first place. It don’t take long to make more gravy, for the apple sauce they could have easily peeled some fresh apples for the sauce if running out. The pud was not overly busy. If someone else ordered the pork they would want apple sauce. I don’t think we will be returning.

We had a family gathering for 20 plus people and it was for Afternoon tea. The spread Clare put on was amazing it looked lovely and tasted good too. Cannot find fault with anything about the afternoon. The pub itself is lovely, cosy and nicely presented. If you are after having a get together,wake or any other event then choose the White Hart..

Very convenient to Chilton Crematorium and perfect venue for a family gathering. Fantastic home made food from the proprietors and suburb setting. Highly recommended.

I’d just like to thank Shannon and Juliet who were on duty when we visited the bar yesterday. They were very pleasant and helpful, and went out of their way when I made enquiries about things I needed to sort. The bar had a good vibe and we’ll definitely come back again in the future.

We visited for the first time last Friday. A great welcome from all the staff, tasty and filling food and a lovely pint of Ringwood 49er Real Ale. This is a proper traditional village local with excellent staff, quality beers and excellent food. Highly recommended.

This place has just been taken over by a very enthusiastic manager. A radical overhaul of the menu and a keen ever learning staff has made this village pub a welcoming 'local for all. We have hade 2 meals there on separate occasions and both the staff and food have been exemplary. The manager and staff make you feel very welcome. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced. We have been told that the menu will be expanded upon but will continue to offer good pub food in good portions with good company. Give a local pub trying to renew itself in a difficult time a chance. I promise you'll not regret it

Sorry, I don't usually leave reviews. But I have to here I am afraid. I am surprised to read the great reviews. We went there for the eat out to help of scheme last week. Firstly, the food arrived. My lasagne was incinerated. I couldn't even cut the sheets. My girlfriend who is 7 months pregnant had an open sandwich. Chicken, bacon and salad. She was not informed that they had no chicken. Upon biting into her sandwich (luckily open). She had brie instead of chicken. Odd replacement, which she cannot have being pregnant. Was subsequently informed it shouldn't have been on the menu. Upon looking at the bill, it was £35 with the discount. Seemed extortionate for four meals with two kids meals. Turned out they didn't discount my girlfriends meal. And when it was revised, they decided to add another drink of to the meal that I didn't even have. Quite happy to pay for a drink if I have paid for it, but don't just add something to the bill and then tell us, it should have been given to someone else. There was 7-8 guests maximum, so they were not busy. No discount or apology made. Won't be returning. Amazed at the reviews. We must've been unlucky. Chef needs sacking.
