Twas great. Staff were very friendly, the card machine was down but they allowed us to bank transfer which was very kind. Food was excellent and very decently priced, and the tea was wonderful! Would absolutely recommend :)

Very good breakfast roll & a cup of tea, not too busy even on Sunday of the British Superbikes, will go again next year or maybe before if I'm in the area. Much better value that the rest of the temporary food trucks at the event.

Visitors need to be determined to find the Jackaroo Cafe but once there you know you’ll be back. Frequently drop in for a great breakfast.

Places that have a monopoly are often quite poor in service and quality. Not so with Jackaroo. The owner and it would seem that most of her family works here; so, a proper family business where service standards are great, as is the food.

Visited Thruxton for a free event. Lots of over priced food vans etc then I found this cafe. Lovely friendly staff, both indoor and outdoor seating and good selection of food too! Had the all day Jackaroo breakfast for £8.50 and it was very nice. Would recommend.

As it's primarily an airfield cafe. Everyone is made very welcome, with friendly staff. We met up as a small motorcycle group and spent a couple of hours in the cafe. Very enjoyable.

Had the pleasure of visiting Jackaroo during the British Superbikes weekend. Despite an influx of hungry customers I cannot fault the staff, service or food. Nothing was too much trouble, the cafe was constantly cleaned, the staff made an effort to keep everything restocked, always with a smile on their faces, especially given the heat! Would thoroughly recommend. Will be back to try the main menu!

This place has gone down hill, although we were greeted with a smile the standard breakfast came out with stone cold baked beans and tomato, and a fried egg that was over cooked and looked like it had been sitting around a while. The plate was also cold, we had the same experience 3 weeks ago and thought we'd give it another try as it used to be good, come on guys it's not difficult especially when you're not that busy...

Popped in for Saturday lunch and was hugely disappointed. Chicken burger consisted of a tiny breaded deep fried fillet inside a stale bun with 2 pieces of tomato, iceburg lettuce and half a plate of oven chips on the side. My wife had a bacon mushroom and cheese panini and she counted 2 pieces of bacon and 2 mushrooms smoothered in loads of cheese. Wouldn't recommend

We came here for a quick lunch after a ride round the circuit. The place is in sore need of a refurbishment as it is very tatty and dated. However our food choices from the basic, simple menu, were freshly cooked and tasty although a but of finesse would not go amiss!

I visited this cafe yesterday at about 10.00 for a breakfast meeting only to find that the place was closed. Their website states that they are open 09.00 to 17.00 daily but clearly they are not. I visited this cafe last year when the same thing happened. I should have left a review then but didn't. Be warned!

Ideal to visit when there are no events on as well, its just off the A303, follow the signs for Thruxton Circuit, not the village and you will find it under the control tower. Ample free parking just outside. Varied menu well prepared food and welcoming staff.

Named after the Jackaroo aircraft that was built at Thruxton, this is an aviators cafe situated under famous World War Two control tower. Thruxton was an RAF Base that was used by the US Armed Forces and is a part of history. The food in the Jackaroo is good honest tucker. The cafe is small and cosy, with a certain charm that adds to the pleasure of being in unique piecee of aviation history. There is plenty of parking for your aircraft or car. They also have sockets to change your Duracell car.

This isn't an easy place to review. The staff are very nice. The interior is pleasant and there are a selection of magazines to browse whilst there. The cappuccino is fair and comes from push button machine. The food is very reminiscent of that from a cafe from yesteryear. Self service cutlery from a help yourself tray. I imagine this would be a good place to get warm, grab a bacon sandwich or full english. It just isn't inspiring as far as cuisine is concerned. It is however convenient (for the track & airfield) and perhaps that and a warming cup of tea is what a day out is all about.

I do a lot of race marshalling including Thruxton. I have had a refreshing cup of coffee here before on a cold day....and yesterday was both wet and chilly. Fortunately I was working close to this bijou restaurant and I could just not resist the allure and aroma! The brekka was both great value but freshly cooked unlike the offerings from similar establishments around the tracks! So I came back at lunch time for a toasted cheese and onion sarnie. Just perfect, really good. So if you are there for racing, experience days, skid pan or aircraft.....do go here and don't cross the track!! Not only is the food excellent, but the friendly staff could not be bettered for attitude or humour.....despite a late night on Saturday!! It didn't show!

Popped in for breakfast whilst visiting Thruxton skid pan, its right next door situated in the control tower building. Decent English breakfast and friendly staff with a partial view of the circuit and aircraft. Only downside is that the decor is dated but that's common for a lot of the small airfield facilities I guess

The staff at Jackaroo are friendly, certainly service with a smile. Food was very quick and tasted great, I have bacon butty which was superb, and great to get a proper cuppa tea with it. Located under the tower the cafe gives you a great view out over the racetrack the fastest in the UK, combined with a great view of the airfield, great for anyone interested in cars or aircraft.

Adequate for a one night stay. Staff were most welcoming and helpful. The check-in with the corporate IT system proved problematic. It refused to take my visa card(s) - 3, and we eventually paid by cash. The staff were excellent, and service was also first class.

Recommended by my family living locally who visit regularly. So we did. Quite quirky we loved that! Bar area and separate eating. Ordered mackerel pate on toast (homemade) & mushrooms on toast both were delicious. Coffee was pretty good not too strong. My sister had a smiley face on her latte… I was envious but promised it would be my turn next visit 😂 Mike the owner was lovely very friendly and knew our cousins. My sister & I will make this our go to place as I live in Surrey & she in Hants. A good midway point to meet. We both have fond memories of Romsey as children. So see you in a couple of weeks time & there after > 👍

I went with my friends and partner to watch the England v Spain game. Sadly England lost but the atmosphere was still great in there. The land lady made sure she found a seat for everyone, grabbing the garden chairs from the back and rearranging the tables so everyone could get a glimpse of a goal. When the match was ending, all of the tables were given a bowl of roasties to share on the house. The land lady was chatty and kind. The staff were also really nice. It is a small pub on the edge of romsey but I would definitely go there again.
