Third time coming here and good as always so quiet and relaxing nice atmosphere and good food amazing play area for kids too :)

First time visiting and I wasn’t disappointed food was excellent very much enjoyed my meal, atmosphere is very calm and pleasant

Service was impeccable, very friendly and efficient. Food was spot on. Great full English breakfast, I'm leaving very satisfied. And the cake is HUGE!!!! Highly recommended

I had a carvery with the family .. great quality and lots of different choices and variety, all hot and good service, highly recommend!

It's my first time here at the Walnut Tree Carvery and I have really enjoyed my food. The steak was cooked just right even though I asked for medium to well done. I would definitely like to come back

Had a belated family Christmas lunch here and we all had a great time. Prices for food & drink were reasonable. We had a few cheese and bacon burgers, chicken combo and some carverys which were all very tasty. The large carvery is huge fyi. We asked when booking the table some weeks ago to be placed in the softplay area as we had a few kids with us but when we arrived our table was quite far away, so I enquired about this to a waitress, she then moved a few tables around and managed to get us abit closer which was we were very grateful for! So thank you for that. The softplay is fantastic for kids, a few slides and climbing areas, a mini games arcade and a under 2's area. The only negative is that we ordered a pizza for my Son but it was horrendously soggy so we sent it back but it was still very soggy when it came out again which is a real shame as my Son was quite hungry. Overall, we would return and had a lovely time!

Food quality is okay, prices reasonable. Has a free soft play so it's cheap couple of hours out for a family. Went to meet Santa at breakfast and was excellent value for money. Spent about £40 for breakfast unlimited tea/ coffee and kids met Santa.

Food terrible, staff pleasant, clientele is what you’d expect at this price point. Staff actively encourage you to leave a 5 star review and upon proving you’ve done one you get a free dessert.

Lovely family meal, quick service, polite friendly staff.

We had a large table of 13 people including 6 children and were seated on a large table directly next to the children’s play area which was perfect to keep the children entertained and meant the adults could chat and relax. Great family location.

Had a really nice breakfast this morning, most of the tables were reserved but the staff managed to squeeze us in near the play area so our chaotic kids could run round. The food was lovely. And the atmosphere was great.

The breakfast here is just absolutely delightful it just simply never disappoints and is always a go to spot.

I was meeting up with an old friend who I hadn’t seen for over 3 years so we had a lot to catch up on. We had a lovely meal served by some very pleasant staff and we didn’t feel rushed at all. We have met at Walnut tree before and decided (after last Tuesday) to do it again and not leave it so long this time.

Just had an amazing experience here for my mums 50th thanks to kayliegh and Bradley the chef who made our experience as good as it was charming and polite and the right amount of cheek

really good food but maybe wrap it in foil to keep the heat in it was cold by the time it got to me .

I was slightly disappointed this year. I rang up to book as it was for a birthday only to find when we got there they had no booking for us. We were seated but in the family area, I have no small children! When I asked if there were any discounts because of the birthday I was told you need to tell them 72hrs before! This was not mentioned on the phone when booking even though I asked for any discounts. The food was okay this time but the staff needed to turn their frown upside down! And keep their tutting quiet!!

Took almost hr and half from. Ordering to delivering yet food was of it had been sat there the whole hr!

Staff were lovely and I didn't see the place at its best (late, empty, closing) but my meal was pretty poor, (served just as the service ended). Pity, another day I guess this is a great place for food and drink in the locale.

Food was mediocre and sometime inedible. Many things were missing from the plates that, were listed on the menus. Service was absolutely awful, went in with a bigger party for dinner so naturally booked in advance, only to arrive and be told there was no record! Staff were unfriendly and constantly hovering, even tried clearing the plates whilst we were still eating!! Will not be back and definitely don’t recommend

We Ordered the breakfast online, when it arrived they both had missing items- no toast at all, only 1 sausage instead of 2 and 1 bacon instead of 3. Very disappointed

It's cheap pub grub , kids love the indoor play area. There pudding are huge! And it's always been hit and miss with there food there, but the staff have always been lovely no problems at all.

Went my daughter and grandchildren for a carvery, what a delicious meal and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. Have to get takeaway dessert as no room let to eat in.

Carvery was lovely. Food was hot and tasty with plenty of options. Burgers were excellent! Service was very friendly and efficient throughout! Value for money was brilliant.

It was Sunday, so pretty busy, but very well managed and plenty of staff. Didn't have to wait for more than s minute, if that. The carvery was insanely good 👍 I had been looking forward to that all week and was not disappointed!

The food had a gone downhill. The menu is smaller. The carvery was inedible. Undercooked potatoes, carrots and parsnips. Had to get a refund. Kids enjoyed the play area.

Great carvery, good selection and will cook extra veg for you if you ask. Really friendly staff and the best cakes also to take away
