The meat was missing from my roast dinner

gave me a bad tummy within minutes of eating. i ordered roast dinner

awful food meat just grissle Yorkshires missing

Dropped by for a carvery Bank holiday Sunday. Food was delicious and good servings of meat, huge Yorkshire puddings and serve yourself veg. Service was pleasant and prices reasonable.

Me and my wife came here for the first time today with some friends and their family. What a lovely place to eat and relax. Perfect for kiddies too. There is a soft play with a slide. Highly recommend it for anybody!

Sat in adult seating area lovely to speak with friends. Food lovely choice of beef, gammon and turkey. Lots of veg all replaced at regular intervals. Staff even came and checked our meal was OK very rare these days.

Very unimpressed. We had the carvery, and the vegetables were horrible, especially the Brussel sprouts. The service was also lacklustre.

Well what a huge disappointment. Took my daughter to meet up with my eldest boy, his girlfriend and grandson and we decided to have a quick desert. Downloaded the app and put an order in for a couple of cheesecakes and a marz chocolate cake. After waiting over half an hour for the order we went inside to chase what was happening. They said it had been put on hold but couldn't tell us why but would be dished up straight away and brought out. After waiting another 10 mins the cakes finally arrived. They were horrible. The marz chocolate cake was thick almost brownie like, tasteless and the edges had a nasty burnt taste. The cheesecake my daughter had was large but she said had that fake sweet cream taste. My Eldest boys cheese cake was a third of the size of the other cakes and looked completely different like it had come from a packet. After the hype we had heard we were all disappointed. Im not saying all the food would be bad at this place. It might be nice but I don't think any of us will be back to try it.

Awful. Roast spuds were soggy. Broccoli was soggy and the only green veg on offer. Gammon dry and fairly bland tasting. On the whole, a meal to forget. I won't be going back.

Bought the kids to play and have a drink the carvery looked amazing so.we decided to eat and it was well worth it

Second time in a week I went for breakfast, And although the selection is ok the food was dry and the coffee luke warm at best. You can bounce the black pudding and eggs, the toast is self service now and the bread on offer was mouldy there also was no jam avaliable. The plates were grubby and some had food still stuck to them. The place was dead we went on a saturday morning 9am and there was only 10 other people in the whole massive pub.

I had the pie it’s crust was excellent, unfortunately the inside was a gravy pie if you find meat don’t eat it. A very popular local for the carvery.

We visited your restaurant to have breakfast on Sunday 20th April 2025 and experienced some first class customer service from both Briany who greeted and welcomed us, then Ben who served us. We believe that they represented the company very well and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable. We spoke to the manager Tracey on the day and made it known of our lovely experience from these two member of staff, to which she passed it on to them. We also enjoyed the food. Because of this service, we will be coming back again. Beautiful experience. Dennis

Always a good meal at the walnut tree which is reasonably priced… kids can play in the soft play whilst you eat. Decent meal tonight and good service all round. Cheyna was very polite. Thanks

Overall, the food was fresh, well-cooked, and constantly restocked. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed. If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast with something a little different, this one’s worth trying. If there was one improvement to make - the mushrooms could have been better.

Food was okay but veg for the carvery wasn't great. The kids play area was a bit of a nightmare with kids constantly running behind our backs and parents not supervising them in accordance with the rules. Not necessarily the pubs fault, but don't create rules you are not prepared to enforce for the dagger and comfort of all your guests.

We were a large group and service was really quick. Food was great particular the beef and overall was great value. Would recommend the walnut tree for a family meal out.

I normally come in for a breakfast. It’s always a nice atmosphere, the staff are polite and the food is lovely. You can have as much as you want and I’ve always come out satisfied.

This is a great place to go for a family outing, atmosphere, and service is good. Unfortunately, the food can be a bit up and down on quality For example, sometimes things are cooked really well and other times not so much this is mainly related to things like potatoes Yorkshire pudding etc on the curvery, sausages and eggs on the breakfast. Carvery meats you get a portion size, but the beef can sometimes be really chewie.

Food was great. Easy to order, fast to come out and tasted wonderful. What more could you really want? Looks as if there was a little play bit for children which is lovely. We cycled up, had plenty of parking for cars and a space for bikes too.

Don't sit anywhere near the play area. Children left to run wild and unsupervised, mainly children over the age of 8.

The service here is always good, great place to go with friends or family. The chicken sharing platter and garlic bread were lovely.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Sue during breakfast, and she completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, her warm smile and upbeat attitude set the tone for an amazing dining experience. Even though it was nearly closing time for breakfast, she came over and gave us some hot extra hashbrowns ! Definitely recommend here for breakfast!

I came here with my nan for a breakfast and wasn't disappointed in my nan or the breakfast. A nice quiet place with lovely staff (Kayleigh and Sue) were both welcoming and there was a man outside doing the litter pick who I lost a game of rock paper Scissors too.
