Cheese straws, notice said they were the best around lol. You have to be joking, hard pastry, no cheese in fact they were tasteless. Tired one the rest went in the bin. Don't waste your money, this bakery is way over rated.

Only been twice, but the bread, sourdough is good ( and mostly I don't rate sourdough, it's largely a scam in many cases ), Olive and cheese breadsticks good also. Knocked one star off because the lady serving was unable to answer a couple of very simple questions about the bread she is selling.

Whilst in Romsey, saw the Reeves bakery shop and went in. Saw a Cornish pasty which I purchased. It was very tasty and had a lot of filling. Excellent.

Prices ridiculously high for what you get, especially in comparison to most other bakeries that have better quality food at better prices. The cheese straws were rock solid making them unpleasant to bite into and the texture of the sausage roll was mushy and too flakey. At £2.40 a sausage roll I expect it to be the best sausage roll I've ever eaten! Whereas this was just painfully below average. Not impressed. Do not recommend.

With Greggs everywhere these days selling perfectly acceptable but rather limited pastries and cakes, it's wonderful to come upon a proper baker who can rival the French bakeries for the quality and range of offerings. Prices are higher than Greggs, but the quality is so much better - as a result Reeve offer excellent value for money. Open during lockdown with a one way system, and a very organised queue. Full credit for that. I have utter respect for every place that made the effort to remain open. I do think that shop workers in Britain should be given a community George Medal for the bravery, resilience, patience, and positive cheerful attitude they have displayed.

We haven't been to Romsey for a few years and were very much hoping Reeve's was still there. The display of bakery goods in the shop is very appealing and you can watch them preparing and baking whatever they happen to be making downstairs at the time. The cafe is extremely plain and simple and you order from the shop counter but the food is excellent. My particular favourite is the Lardy Cake - I can't find anywhere else where it's made in the traditional manner.

This is a great place to go for something tasty either to eat in or to take away. They offer a wide range of hot savoury pastries and filled rolls, including my favourites the filled focaccias which are always stuffed full of delicious meats, egg or fish and lovely fresh salad, Great to take on picnics or just eat on the go, at lunchtimes there is always a long queue out into the street so best to go early. Their bread comes in many shapes and sizes, it tastes just like bread should, the seeded sourdough is my favourite and is evidently very popular with other people too, leave it too late in the day and you will miss it. The cakes are excellent too, all the traditional favourites the fresh cream doughnuts and eclairs are always bursting with cream and really fresh. Altogether this is a gem of a place for anyone who appreciates a really good bakery, I would give it top rating.

We love this bakery chain. seasonal pastries, traditional fare, real comfort food. Their Wiltshire pasties are epic. One of my sons loves their chicken curry pasty and the fresh cream eclairs. The staff are quick to serve, always on the ball, nothing too much trouble and the bread and cakes are the freshest ever. Havent visited the restaurant here just the takeaway.

We saw this shop I asked for a sausage roll and a Cornish pasty, I was abruptly told it's not a Cornish pasty it's a wiltshire pasty! Well once I bit into it I can assure you I knew it wasnt Cornish its was nothing but minced mush with no flavour, sausage roll was all pastry..and these two inedible items cost £5.05... never again

We went to this place on a Monday because the cafe advised on TA was closed on Monday. This place was near our car park. We only had a coffee each and a bacon roll. The cappuccinos were just average but the bacon rolls were of little bread substance. The pre cooked and microwave bacon, although dry , was still able to render a little fat but it was enough to penetrate the very thin and paltry roll made at this place calling itself a bakers? Bill for two was £14 but I later discovered a little place just near that was £2-65 instead of £4-50 . I feel sorry for the folks in Rome’s.

Popped in for some snacks for a long car journey. I had the Wiltshire Pasty and my wife had the Almond Croissant. The croissant was apparently very good and my pasty wasn't too bad. I would give it 3/5. This pasty tasting is part of my 'there are other pasties in the world which are not Cornish' project. The Wiltshire pasty was top crimped with a cooked meat, potato and carrot filling. It had quite dense flaky pastry. As with many such variants it was heavier on the gravy than a true Cornish pasty.

Very good bakery. Reasonable prices for fresh baked. Did used to buy my sandwiches in there until they suddenly lacked the skill of spreading butter or margarine, I am not sure what one as I am not into eating great big lumps of it. I did mention this and was looked at as if I was mad..and offered another sandwich ( which I declined ) as this also was lumpy broken bread due to hard butter being attempted to be spread. I still use the bakery for other items.

I visited this bakery on Saturday afternoon. It was packed. As you enter, there is a long serving counter on your left with room for customers to stand in front. There is little room for customers who eat inside to get out. One lady had a shopping trolley and just ran over peoples' feet. At the entrance, it is restricted even more by a product, sales stand, sticking out into the walkway. I bought a steakl slice which I was not able to eat for ages as it was like lava, screeching hot. A poor experience.

I'm sure that Wilton-based bakers Reeve the Baker is one of our locality's best-kept secret. Everything they produce is of the highest quality and their range is enormous. The farmhouse granary bread is outstanding and the sourdough scrumptious. Their rolls, pastries and pasties have contributed mightily to my girth and I've enjoyed every mouthful.

I've tried a lot of eccles cakes in my time, but these are the best - very buttery flakey pastry, great filling, really simple but utterly delicious. Admittedly I've not sat down to eat/drink, always take-away, but I thoroughly recommend Reeve as a bakery!

I hardly ever use bakeries due to the temptations however I have a jam doughnut ocd!Jam doughnuts absolutely must be coated in sugar and NOT icing sugar as so many supermarkets tend to do. Reeves use proper sugar plus the doughnuts are big and fluffy - Perfect.I travelled 25 minutes from home just to go to Reeves a second time and tried the large Bakewell tart. Oh my goodness what a treat. The pastry is thin and crisp, the jam thick and fruity and the frangipan soft and plentiful. Definitely worth a visit

Okay - I'm not even sure why Reeve the Baker is on TripAdvisor. I think it's evidence that TripAdvisor doesn't really understand England. This is a chain baker that sells pasties, sausage rolls and cakes. It's popular. There's always a queue.Great for pasties and cake to take away. You can have a coffee at the back. But it ain't no restaurant (as TripAdvisor says it is) and it would never claim to be. I'm not from Romsey but treat it as my second home as I spend at least 1 week of every 6 here with my Romsey family. We always look forward to a coffee and pasty/cake in Reeves and have always been loyal to them when Costa and Neros came to the village. A couple of new staff changes and its just not the same. Today we entered the store at 4.25 hoping to sit and have our usual....we were too late so decided to take away, oh no can't have coffee the machine was cleaned early so said ok seems like we could only purchase the 2 cakes. We went to pay by card and was told there would be an extra 50p charge as we weren't now spending more than £5. My friends have spent in the shop on a weekly basis for years. The last time I used the shop 4 weeks ago we sat out the back and we're hurried to finish as the wanted to clear up even though you pay a premium to use the tables and cutlery than take away prices. The time before that was also a disaster waiting for food to be warmed then not being bought to us. The place we once loved to use as just become a major disappointment.

Went to the exchange today with some friends, it was around £13 for an English breakfast, we all got one, the food was tough, tasteless and nearly cold, just absolutely not worth the money. Really disappointing. Should spend less money on making the place look fancy and more on cooking nice food. Won’t be going back.

We stayed in one of the lodges so we were looking forward to enjoying a nice breakfast at the farm cafe. We were told they were operating a limited menu because there was no chef so we ordered an avocado smash, sausage bap and an egg on toast. I asked if the avo smash would come with seeds as shown in the photo and I was told yes. The egg on toast came out at 10.10am and by 10.40 we were still waiting on the rest of the food. When I went to check on our order I was told “5 minutes”, which is clearly code for ‘we’ve forgotten about you.’ By the time the rest of the food came out I was completely over it. No apology was given. There were no seeds on the avocado and the staff were miserable with zero personality. Don’t bother! Save your money!
