Caffe Nero - Romsey in Test Valley

Found a few house keeping issues. Drink liquid splatters up the wall by the sofa upstairs. Food under cushions and down the sides of them upstairs. When going up the stairs there were cobwebs.

I have just had the absolute worst latte i have ever tasted. I left most of it. My wife’s flat white was ok, apparently. I would give 3 out 10 for ambience, and 2 out of 10 for effort in clearing tables after use, so overall it was not a visit i would repeat.

I come here most morning always friendly staff and quick service everyday :-) Would recommend to everyone

5/5 is not enough to praise these tireless baristas at Cafe Nero Romsey I am a regular (Everyday) And appreciate the lovingly endless banter not to mention the amazing coffee and pastry’s on a daily basis! 11/10 would not come close either Well done and much love and respect guys Mark (Spurs) 😜😜😜😜

The cafe was quite busy when I visited and I had an accident when I took my order to the table. The staff were very friendly and helpful (despite being busy) and cleared everything up for me without making me feel in the least bit uncomfortable. I am very grateful for the high level of service I received there.

Visited the Romsey branch for a coffees. The drinks were good. However the cafe was dirty, no staff member seen clearing or cleaning tables and the toilet was in a disgusting state. I will not be visiting this cafe again sadly. One disappointed customer.

How can a national coffee cafe brand NOT have brown sugar or sweeteners. Just Shockingly bad. Common sense would tell you to pop across the road and buy some… oh no, staff cannot compute this . Happy to take my business elsewhere. Seriously like a sandwich shop telling you they have. I bread, but can give you the filling in a box :-/

The staff in cafe nero are amazing! they always are so police and go out of their way to make the visit great! so friendly and helpful! Always such great coffee aswell! good work

This is our favourite place for the quality of the coffee but is often let down by poor service, staff often seem more interested in chatting to fellow servers The premises could also do with some attention as there are definite H&S issues with the flooring upstairs

De vez un cuando hay que hacer algo inspirado y inolvidable y no puedo pensar de algùn lugar para tomar un taza de cafè.

Querìa celebrar el fin de semana con un cafè y postre y estaba en Romsey y por supuesto hay mucho cafeterìas eligir. Caffe Nero es una eleccìon segura y venden cafè delicioso y postres sabroso. Por fin me gustar este lugar. Por so no fuera bastante no es caro. Tal vez volverè la pròximo semana. El menù es un poco pequeno que antes pero es todavìa facil comprar productos delicioso.

Very affordable, the staff are always nice and welcoming. My first choise for a coffee in Romsey! The app is also easy to use and allows you to easily rack up free drinks. :)

Came in on a Sunday for a coffee. Ordered 2x extra hot cocunut mocca and a vegen cheesecake Girl serving was too busy talking so we ended up with 2x warmish coffees which we were not keen on. I like hot coffee and just couldn't be bothered to go back. If the staff dont care then whats the point? Whole place felt like it needed a good clean, tables filled with plates etc Just moved to Romsey so we can put that on our places to avoid list. . The vegan cheesecake was nice.

Unusual for me to post 'average' reviews but I don't do social media so, if Cafe Nero management follow Trip Advisor, here's some feedback.The central Romsey cafe scene is becoming crowded - with several multiples and some excellent local operators competing hard for business.Therefore, while Cafe Nero is well located and has the benefit of a spacious interior with seating upstairs, the interior is becoming very tired and grubby.Coffee still good and counter service reasonable but the brand is being under-mined by lack of investment.I for one will be going elsewhere until they show more interest in their customers and spend some money on the place.

Dos cafe latte y una delicioso pastel. Muy sofisticada y limpiar. Simplamente me mejor. Desafortunadamente para mi estos in poco caffe nero cerca aqui. Esto una es una verdadera joya y no es caro. Recomendar sin deserves.

A very nice coffee indeed, strong and just the right size and on this occasion it was accompanied by a delicious slice of salted caramel cheesecake and there is the option of complimentary cold water,

Good position in the Market Place, very modern urban style, crowded, noisy, overpriced and generally out of place in a pleasant market town

Lovely relaxed place and great service, staff are willing to help with any situation! Lovely little place although comes with a warning as time goes so quick when you are in there!! In a good way!

Used to go to Costa coffee a lot but then I tried the Nero’s after costa let me down with there ridiculously tight rewards scheme and trouble with my card and haven’t looked back the staff are always friendly and helpful and the Coffee tastes so much better than costa and they have a very good reward scheme especially if you download the app

This is the first time I have been to the Caffè Nero in Romsey and it is obviously very popular. All the time I was there plenty of people came in to purchase drinks and food. The coffee was good. I often walk past and see people relaxing with a drink and reading their paper etc. It exudes a relaxing aura. Although I did not purchase anything to eat, the cakes etc looked really appetising. I am sure to visit again!

I visit here regularly & I want to single out the manager Kat as being very helpful. She remembers our group order better than I do!! This week I had an issue with gift cards which she sorted out for me & even came back from her break to do so.

Friendly, efficient cafe on two floors. We used the upstairs, which was light, airy and comfortable and gave great views of the old buildings along the street.

good as always great coffee good cakes fast service always busy but they manage to gte thru customer ques quite well often little seatuing go in off hours

awfull! worst coffee shop I have ever been in. the staff were awful, rude and had the worst attitude ever. there was no organisation. they should really think about hiring a team leader to lead the team and if they have one then they really need retraining or replacing. the place was dirty cups and plates everywhere. this used to be a really lovely place to visit. unfortunately the staff have really let it down.

We use this cafe weekly and can’t fault the coffee,food and staff who are always friendly.The problem is the lack of cleaning and need for a refurbishment.It is an old building and probably hard to clean but where we sat today was really bad with old dirt.

My husband left his wallet behind here and didnt realise untill the following day. He called up the coffee shop and spoke to a nice member of staff who informed him that it had been found. What a relief! and that they had put it to the side.

It's a shame I didn't get the usual high standard. The trainee had buckets of attitude and took no notice of the guidance being given by the Barrista. The coffee was scalding and took far too long to get.

Flat whites and cake all round. The coffee was good and strong. And the cakes were lovely. Good location too.

Fast and efficient personal service greets you immediately you walk into Cafe Nero. The coffee and the fresh pastries are delicious and a wide range of other snacks are available.

At least once a week I go here and the quality of the service & drinks is always great. The staff in Romsey nero especially are very friendly and there is plenty of seating available although it is all indoors.

Sat upstairs,very shabby chic and cosy with newspapers to read if required.Service a little slow but friendly staff.

Una buena taza de té servido por un personal amable sin colgar sobre mi cajas cumple todos! No tome, pero hay unos pocos asientos para sentarse dentro y disfrute de su café si lo prefiere.

Romsey is not short of coffee shops (or Charity Shops and Estate Agents but that's another thing) so Nero faces tough competition, it gets my vote for reliably friendly and enthusiastic staff and ruthlessly efficient service. Tables quickly cleared and loos clean and tidy. Recommended.

Great coffee and good service in the heart of Romsey. The staff were very friendly and a coffee and snacks well what do you would express expect from this chain. There are a couple of free newspapers to peruse whilst you have your coffee. This is a regular stop for us. Recommended.

Friendly caffe Nero, go up stairs to sit is my advice. A lot more room up there, volume on the music is just right. Staff friendly and efficient. Free wifi which is a bonus. Well situated right in the middle of Romsey. Bacon and Brie panini toasted nicely. What more can I say, if you need some where relaxing and with good service this is a good choice.

good food and coffee. some seating but also take away. often very full so have to wait for a seat but worth it.

I love this Nero. Mainly coz of the coconut and chocolate frappe but also coz the staff are great. There is a lady who is probably Brazilian...but she's lovely!!!!! Kid friendly too!

Nice setting. But looking a bit faded. Decor a bit grubby. Spoons were all dirty than I've seen before. Stained. Staff almost friendly. Not the best cafe Nero but maybe OK for romsey

Have been here many times and have always been served consistently good coffee and fresh pastries. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Certainly nicer than the other well known coffee establishment directly opposite!

I've been to a few Caffe Nero's and the one in Romsey was busy when I arrived but the staff were polite and friendly and the atmosphere of the place made it well worth the visit.

I like going to Cafe Nero because because they serve great coffee they also serve the usual food and cakes seating is comfy and friendly staff

Great Staff and good coffees make this the perfect in Romsey to meet friends, browse the free newspapers or use the free wi-fi My wife and I really enjoy our visits there.

For years we have visited both this branch and Winchester, with no complaints, it's a coffee bar and service is always good. However as of a week ago, until you start paying tax in the UK we will no longer support you and others should think twice too. Come on Nero's time to pay what is due!!

Whenever we come to Romsey to visit family we love sitting in this coffee shop to catch up. Terrific Windows to gaze out of and watch the Romsey village people go by. They have great coffee and a good selections of cakes and sandwiches. Staff super friendly and plenty of seats upstairs and downstairs. Free wifi pretty good as well.

If you're the sort of person who prefers doting staff, while linen and doilies then you should probably walk past this one.However, if you're happy to queue at the counter and carry your own order to a table; if you like friendly staff, big window views of the market place, free wifi and good, strong coffee—this place is for you.The biggest problem it has is being too popular! Sometimes the queue is a little too long for comfort and finding a table can be a chore. If that happens, there's a Costa 20 paces away, half-a-dozen other coffee shops a few paces further and several pubs that offer "Coffee and Cake" deals: you'll never go short of coffee or tea; cake or snacks in Romsey!PS I don't know why TripAdvisor have this place down as a Restaurant. It's a coffee shop. There's no Prawn Cocktail, Rare Chateaubriand or Crème Brûlée here. They do sell sandwiches and a few things that need to be squashed under a Panini press though.

We enjoy wandering in to Romsey for a coffee and have tried most of the coffee shops, but always return to Nero where the staff are both friendly and efficient and the pastries freshly baked

Friendly staff. Dogs welcome. Good coffee. Free wifi. There is a super friendly Polish lady who is always seems to be on shift when I go in & she makes the place! Always great service with a smile. Can be a little slow when it is busy but always great coffee so worth a little patience!

The coffee and strong for my liking! The toilets are up some steep and old style stairs! There are plenty of newspapers to read though!

I like this cafe. It's very conveniently situated in the centre of Romsey, not far from the Abbey and amongst the shops and banks. It offers good cake and nice tea and coffee, at prices I'd say are good value for the quality. There are two floors, a variety of seating, newspapers, and good views of the street. The toilets are clean.

Always enjoy going into this coffee shop for a mid morning coffee. Good Coffee and lovely staff. Possibly the best place for coffee in Romsey.

Even just a milkshake is stupidly expensive! i could go to Mc D. get 2 medium milk shakes for the same price.... and tastes basically the same. Nero is nothing special... i don't understand why they can charge so much for ice and artificial flavourings... Staff are too busy to do their job properly. Always running around cleaning or making stuff. It feels too much like a fast food restraint. But i would rather that then them talking to every customer and taking forever!!Nice atmosphere though! Food isn't anything nice.... or worth it. I could go to the Co-op and get a load of Fresh croissants that taste better for the same price as their 1 croissant.
