Service very slow. Had to ask multiple times for service; got up to get extra water as staff would just ignore us even though there appeared to be many of them, but they just seemed to not be doing much. Food took a long time to come & then only some of the food arrived & one of our party had to wait another 8-10mins before their main arrived but with no explanation or apology as to why it arrived long after the others had. Toasted sandwiches were burnt black in the middle on 2 separate orders - unbelievable they can serve food like that which was inedible. Haven’t been here for years, and this experience reminded us why. Never again!

Really friendly. It is a real pub, live music most weekends. Jon and Craig are really welcoming hosts. Just the place to relax at the end of the day.

I didn't get as far as coffee. My reason for going in was to complain about the wooden sign outside which is so low down that I cracked my head against it. It was raining at the time. The member of staff I spoke to said I was not the first to have sustained this injury however I was advised the pub is on private land. There are large plant tubs on the pavement and unless you want to walk into them, you step aside and collide with the sign. It is a deplorable situation and also potentially dangerous for people with sight problems. I tried to raise a complaint.

I was having a terrible day so I decided to treat myself to a Starbucks. Having never been to this store before I didn’t know what to expect. When I came to the till I was greeted by the biggest of smiles from brook who took my order and his service was impeccable. Everytime I order at a Starbucks I get the same drink and there was just something so great about this one. I believe Louise made my drink and tasted excellent. I will 100% be returning to this store and I hope you are able to see the shining potential of these employees who made my experience here so great.

There on 22 January with a group of friends. Lovely, friendly staff. Welcoming. Nice pub with good atmosphere and log burner on a grey, cold day. I had the calves liver, mashed potatoes, peas and onion gravy. That has to be the best calves liver I have ever had. Compliments to the chef.

Rather disappointing. Having visited the White Swan both for drinks and to eat on a number of occasions, this visit with friends was not up to the usual standard. Items chosen from the menu had elements replaced by something else. To be fair the staff member did advise. Three of the starters were fine but a sweet potato salad was fairly tasteless and the presentation didn’t help. However the mains, one of which was a pasta dish as substitute for gnocchi , was awful, being bland with thick spaghetti. The sauce just seemed to be cold cream. The whole thing seemed to have been cobbled together at the last minute. Sea bass in a sauce was not very pleasant and the haddock with mashed potato although ok was a little mean on the fish. The turkey roast was good with good roast potatoes and a healthy portion. Two of us had Rebellion IPA. It looked slightly cloudy but had a peculiar taste. The staff changed the barrel and the replacements (given without question) were fine. In conclusion, a fairly poor dining experience which was not cheap. Staff were in every way excellent. Will we go back? The jury is out with the four of us leaving the venue suggesting probably not.

I visited late afternoon, not wishing to go home and cook a meal. I initially ordered a drink and decided to browse the food menu. There was a good selection of items, so I decided to order a "Dirty Burger". I ordered it in a specific way and was pleased to note my requests were fully accommodated. As the pub became busier, service became slower. It took a while to receive my bill. The restuarant was very clean, but there was no soap available in the toilet. Don't forget to enter your car registration on a screen as you enter, to avoid a penalty charge (I saw the notice and did so).

Now called Crocus at Dorney Court. Very nice garden centre and spacious cafe. Most staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Some staff did not seem interested in their customers. Expensive food. Very slow service - 25 minutes for a pot of tea and cup of coffee, despite lots of staff. Lunch was served more quickly Too many dogs and screaming children.

Nice staff but management really need to get hold of the queues at the cash tills. The front car park really could be closed off and made into retail space.

Popped in for a drink. We were completely ignored even though the place was really quiet. We eventually walked out. How much would a "I'll be with you in a minute" cost?
