We went here on a Monday, expecting it to be quiet so the service would be fast and efficient. The service was good. However, I ordered a buttermilk chicken burger which was quite dry with zero flavour. It was like an Iceland burger with no sauces added for flavour. The bread roll was cold like it had just come out the fridge. When we told the waiter this he said no, I saw them put it on to be heated which was not true as it was stone cold. The starter and the desert were nice.

It’s the best restaurant, very good costumer service, brilliant atmosphere but the best it’s the food very delicious and very tasty I am going back again 👏

Been here several times over a few years and the food and service has always been good. A good selection of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholics, and a mix of dishes from Pasta / pizza / grill and burgers. Being veggie they have some options and also cater for people with food intolerances. Today my wife and I were looked after by Toral and can say the food and service was exceptionally great.

Went last night. Took a long time for drinks to arrive and beer was warm and flat. Food was average but no sides seemed to be available! Tried to order coffee following the meal (approx 9pm) and was told the hot drinks machine had been turned off!! It appeared that they wanted us to hurry up and leave. Not good as, between 4 of us, we paid a lot of money to eat there. I informed the staff of this and told them that we would not be returning.

Wedding anniversary meal. Overall good restaurant and as I expected. Good bar and nice ambient setting I would visit again.

We visit this place at least once a week and are regular customers. Now days you really don’t get this type of loyalty. We rang the restaurant and were told that as long as we got there before 8.45pm we will get a table. We drove 30 miles to get to Wildwood. When we arrived we were met by Toral the manager who first told us the heating was not working and then she told us that the kitchen was closed… clearly we were extremely disappointed and didn’t want to make fuss despite being told that we need to be at the resturant before 8,45pm to be served which we were. This not the way to treat your loyal customers, but we have Toral benefit of doubt as she assured me that she will comphensate for poor service and being mislead by offering 50% next day and so we decided to give Wildwoods a second chance, only to be told by Toral that is retracting on her promise as we felt that we were clearly lied despite making a wasted journey. Sadly Wildwood don’t really care about regular customers and would rather have an empty restaurant then deliver on a promise they make . As the Chinese proverb says “ The fish always rots from head downwards “

As a party of 21 we went for late lunch on Boxing Day. In spite of the numbers and the public holiday, the service was excellent and prompt. We were very impressed with Despina, Niko and their colleagues. Well done

Arrived at kitchen closing time for some food and a few drinks. Staff were so kind as to offer to keep the kitchen open past closing for food for us, without prompting, as a Christmas Eve present. Lovely service and great food and drink at a great price. Highly recommended!

Lovely. Relaxed family atmosphere, and perfect coziness level to watch the world stumble by in all its British Winter glory. Staff were efficient and polite. Good was enjoyed by all. Had little touches showing they had a little thought to making it homely in the decor and it’s been an ages since I was served anything on a frosted looking glass - adding to the Xmas feel. Low roofed and cosy. Lovely for family lunches.

Very good experience, an unbeatable environment, very good quality and delicious food, perfect value for money, we were served by a very nice pink-haired girl with exceptional treatment, she was patient to explain to us in detail everything we needed, we felt very comfortable throughout the entire time. We will return without a doubt and we hope that the same girl takes serve us😊

I had a great experience while I had my lunch in Wildwood - Gerrards Cross. The food was excellent, so the service as well. Would be back definitely.

I generally like Wildwood a lot and often come here with family and friends. The staff are always really nice and attentive and the general atmosphere is great. Food this time wasn’t the usual standard. The new Calabrese pizza wasn’t nice, too many different things going on and the ham was very fatty, base was burnt. The risotto was ok, not special this time, kids meals and dessert was very good as usual. I just think it was a bad day in the kitchen but I’m hoping it’ll get back to the usual 5 star standard soon.

Excellent food.great atmosphere

First the positive - the staff were friendly, efficient and cheerful. This was quite an achievement as the food was terrible - my pizza was like cardboard with a mean amount of topping (even though it was a double pepperoni). The cheesecake looked and tasted like plastic and was a tiny portion (thankfully as I did not have to eat more of it). The place is a noisy barn and the outside seating is very untempting. A place to avoid.

My husband and I go for dinner often, about 7 years. Our favourite is barbecue pork ribs. Sooo, tasty, huge portion. Staff there very friendly and helpful. Thanks them.

I haven't eaten here in many years after a couple of bad experiences, this was an improvement. The service started off great, really attentive but dropped off towards the end when it became impossible to attract anyone attention. I find it particularly odd that the bill was produced and then nobody came back to take payment for about 20 minutes. The food was average, reasonable value for money, it's a pretty standard burgers, pizza, past menu with a couple of fish dishes thrown in. There is nothing different to consider but the food that we had was fine. I'd come here again but I wouldn't say to come out of your way to visit.

I have visited this restaurant many times over the years but the last 2 visits have been below the usual standard. Yesterday I visited with family, I ordered the risotto it arrived swimming in oil with big slices of courgette and an over powering taste of chilli, I complained to the waitress who to be fair changed it without to much fuss. For quickness I ordered a cheeseburger this was not too much better, the burger was over cooked and dry, the bottom part of the roll was soggy and stuck to the plate with a thick slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf I couldn’t taste any cheese . For dessert my family choose the chocolate brownie which normally arrives warm, tonight it was cold and we were told by the waitress it was not heated because they use different brownies now, not sure how that made a difference. The manager was busy arranging tables for a larger party to arrive but instead picking up chairs he was dragging them around the room and almost throwing under the table the noise was loud and unnecessary. Really disappointed tonight, it was a birthday dinner as well. Whilst walking back to the car I also noted the outside is tatty and unkept. I doubt we will be going back again

A most enjoyable meal .Three courses. Chili based tomato soup, Vegan Lasagna, Duck, Vegan Cheese cake and Iced Nougat with coffee. Cater well for dietry requirements. Good service and attentive staff. Only problem with the evening was that it was very noisy.

Had a nice meal overall, but thought £4.50 for a sharing plate of foccacia with only two bits of bread for four adults a tad on the mean side. Sent it back. Food in general was not flavoursome. Had to chase up other things that did not arrive, although ordered. Wouldn't go in there if we were paying. Many other places to go in GX that are better for food and value

Had a breakfast here. The coffee is pretty poor and some of my breakfast was cold. The overall experience felt like a trip to Wetherspoons. Friendly staff and nicely decorated though.

Lovely easy place for a meal. It’s consistently good. Have been going for many years. Went last night and has their four seasons pizza. It was absolutely delicious. Lovely staff too.

We were the last to leave but weren't particularly late - maybe 10.30. Went to leave by the front door but was told it was locked and we'd have to leave by the side door. Absolutely no question about opening it for us. Now there's one customer-focused restaurant for you. Oh, and we weren't charged for the jug of tap water.... but I'm sure we were for the glasses we drank it from!

We held a family get together in early June, we were a party of 18 people, Nico and his team provided fantastic service, the food was good and we couldn’t have had a better time! Thanks Nico for accommodating us and being so welcoming!

Love the food, atmosphere and service here! Everyone is always very friendly and the restaurant is always very pretty. It is rare that I love so many options on a menu. Super grateful for all the gluten free options. Save room for desert because its the best part of the menu!

Great food except for being forgotten about when it came to desserts. The orders were taken for our group but 4 of us were missed. Lovely risotto though.

We visited Wildwood in Gerrard's Cross, Saturday 9th April. It was a group of five girls and we all had a an amazing time. The restaurant is very clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. Nikola & Despina in particular were very welcoming, their service was 10 out of 10. We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you 😊

Originally I left a negative review but went there again with work colleagues and after meeting the manager all now is ok thanks to their understanding. Will be going back soon.

Visited with friends on a Tuesday night and restaurant was busy. Chose the risotto which was delicious. Service was good and waitress friendly and helpful. A very good experience and food was much better than many more expensive restaurants I have visited nearby.

I’m a regular at Wildwood, but while I/we like the food we have noticed the service (and look/feel of the restaurant) progressively getting worse. Recently, I ordered for a food collection and upon arrival I was ignored for a good 5-10 minutes. I stood by the sofas/entrance door making eye contact with all the staff who were stood by the bar, joking with one another, and the others walking past and serving seated customers. Nobody stopped to ask if I was ok or needed to be seated / served. One member of staff eventually asked me if I was ok, to which a gentleman staff member told her “it’s ok he’s here for collection”. This was true - but I think he assumed I was a delivery driver, given his dismissal. When I told him that I was in fact not a driver but a paying customer, he apologised, and asked me to take a seat. I’m not asking for anything here but polite and friendly service when paying custom. Even if I was a delivery driver, I’d expect the same courtesy from staff. I hope Wildwood improves service and their overall restaurant soon. Competitors are opening up right opposite their GX site, and people will now have a choice of where to go next! Thanks

The team at Wildwood were fantastic at hosting my child’s birthday lunch at short notice!! We were let down on a Saturday evening but Liam and Alin came to the rescue by offering us a private area for the next morning. On the day, we had nothing but praise for Liam, Alin, Issy & Despina who were fantastic at ensuring we had everything we needed, when we needed it! Very grateful to the entire team!

Out on a family walk and we decided to have lunch here. The staff were very friendly and gave us little items to entertain our 3 year old. The food was good and a good size portions.

I visited WildWood with the intention of a lovely meal with friends and left appalled by the service and disrespect shown to myself and my company. The food was lovely, but i don’t know whether it was due to the filled restaurant or just lack of customer service skills that we were barley seen to within the 2 hours we spent at this establishment. By the end of the meal we had unresolved issues not only from staff but also the manager that have still not been mended. We won’t be visiting this restaurant again due to a lack of respect from staff to the customers.

wouldn’t recommend here if you don’t want to be forced into tipping. Me and a few of my friends thought we would have a little school reunion here in a hope of a nice meal and good ambience. The night was good until it came to paying. The waiter had put a service charge on our bill. but we didn’t want to leave a £20 tip considering we had been there more than an hour and spoke to our waiter 2 times. We had intended on leaving a smaller, cash tip instead, which we felt was right. However, when it came to paying, As a person who works in hospitality, I was shocked at this and couldn’t believe it. We split the bill into 3 and after the 3rd payment, it was a lot more than we had worked out. We were then told we have to pay the service charge as we had payed some already. Again, as a person in hospitality, that is awful customer service. We then asked to see a manager who came over adamant that this was the case. After a conversation with her, she began to raise her voice at us and get quite annoyed like we were in the wrong! This led to her walking away whilst we were talking to her about our issue we will not be returning because of a lack of respect for their customers Would be great if someone could get in touch and resolve this issue 👍

Four of us popped in for a very late lunch on the spur of the moment and were impressed by the quality of the food and the professional and friendly service. The artisan pizza in particular was excellent and I'll definitely be making a return visit soon.

Nice place, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was OK, I ordered the cheeseburger. I feel for the price you don't get much. The burger could be bigger. Comparing it for the same price range as Harvester or TGI you get a much bigger burger there than you do here. For the two of us having mains and desert cost £60. On the high price side for unfortunately OK food. Otherwise the restaurant is nice, staff are friendly and the service was good.

Nice Friday night meal with the family.

Food was great and so was the service! I had the rack of ribs which were cooked well, it needed some extra BBQ sauce which the staff were able to provide. The only issue was that we were sat near the entrance and the door kept opening and was freezing cold outside. We did ask if the second set of doors could be closed and we're told they could not be.

I've been here a few times in the past and it hasn't been the most consistent restaurant but the time I went recently shows how much it has stepped it's game up. The staff were lovely, the restaurant looked great, and the food absolutely hit the mark. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to go for their first time or if they haven't been in a while.

Went to Wildwood for pasta. Service was impeccable, atmosphere relaxed and easy going but attentive. I have spaghetti carbonara, requested carbonara to be added which they did. My partner had past Pomodoro with vegan cheese. Both were excellent

I'm a vegetarian and they served me a mushroom risotto with chicken! So not happy, but like everything it's how a problem is dealt with the shows the measure of the place. So no apology. Complained and had 40% off the risotto only removed from the bill. Everything else still charged including service charge. As any vegetarian will tell you after being served meat, you feel really quite sick so 40% off a risotto I now don't want... not good enough. Complained again and told them all the above a they removed the cost of the risotto. Only. Still no apology from the manager. No good will gesture. No % off the whole bill. No free drinks, nothing. They ended up not charging me for the risotto they made me feel sick serving. Really not good enough and still had the audacity to charge the service charge. Really disgraceful managerial decisions.

I marked the atmosphere down as they were burning of some fat and it was very smokey to start with. However, I would recommend a visit. Food was excellent and service was good.

We were a large group of around 20. The staff did really well to accommodate us and were friendly and efficient. Great choice of food and drink. I enjoyed the ribs followed by the Lotus biscuit cheesecake.

A variety of options for both veg and non-veg. Portions are quite large esp the penne pasta dish I had - Cobb salad also was good. The Sticky toffee and date pudding is also NICE! Service is great which made the lunchtime experience better. Have to give it another try to see if its consistent.

Nice restaurant, very busy (and very noisy) for a Thursday evening. Staff were pleasant but service was a bit hit and miss. Main course of seafood linguine was a little disappointing - of the six mussels in the bowl, one was empty and another was closed (therefore not eaten) and it was underseasoned (I realise that's personal taste).

Brockley and potatoes were bit hard 💪🏻

Service was good. Starter garlic bread was delicious. My main the calzone was great. Other member of the table ordered the penne with chicken and mushroom and was upset to find very little chicken throughout the dish. Seems to be a reoccurring issue with the penne and other pasta dishes. Service was fast and the table was well looked after. Didn't bring issue up with waitress as we weren't asked about the meal. Would come again
