Very nice food and atmosphere, been to a few from this chain and it you know the quality will be there.

Absolutely appalling service provided by this business when trying to book for 22 people for a special event, the booking process was bizarre, after 1 month of trying to contact the restaurant speaking to staff who had no knowledge of our booking but confirmed the restaurant was not booked that day and they would get the manager to call us back (we gave up and made a booking elsewhere thankfully), under 2 weeks ahead of the event we received a response from the white horse, they said they have secured our booking for two hours after our requested time and we had to leave within 2 hours, we also were not allowed to bring the children who were included as part of our original request, which would include our own child to our own wedding. Weird experience, I have given them 5 stars on atmosphere as the place is lovely and 3 stars on food because I have heard good things but not eaten there, but the service is dreadful. Definitely would not recommend for any planned events.

Best roast dinner we've had in a long time. Really lovely pub. Will be back to try other dishes soon. We had the lamb and the pork. Highly recommend.

We stopped here about 2pm as "walk in customers " for Sunday lunch en route from Kent home to Midlands via M40 to break our journey, after all the congestion on M25 We were greeted friendily by our waiter Manu who was very polite attentive and helpful. He kept us updated on progress with preparing our food. The atmosphere in the place was very welcoming clean and tidy, They clearly welcome families and young children as we saw severalvchild seats/high chairs and games, puzzles etc to keep them amused. Food was not cheap, but was fabulous very well presented, and cooked perfectly. I had belly pork roast and my partner had the roast beef, we had a glass of house rose(also not cheap) and with the small deserts and coffees and tip it came to over £88 for two. (With no starters or sides.) The toilets were upstairs and well kept and clean, although the flush was too slow re-filling in the gents. . Thoroughly recommended, and it was expensive but worth it to not dine in a chain establishment. 2nd Visit We loved it so much we booked a table in February on our way back from Kent. We were not disappointed, the service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive, the food fabulous: we shared a baked Camembert starter, then both had the roast beef, and finished with mini sticky toffee pudding with our coffees.

Had a great experience dining at the white horse. Lovely calm atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Every staff member was extremely polite and helpful, but we found James to be extremely attentive. We are looking forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

We were looking for somewhere for dinner in Beaconsfield quite late one evening and other restaurants were no longer accepting diners. The White Horse was happy to serve us. The restaurant doesn't look that big from the front but goes a long way back and so is large inside. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the food was very good quality. Service was friendly and quite quick. We would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Have eaten there since it opened in 2019. Usually groups of 4 to 15 of us and was always good service ,atmosphere and service. Then last March 2023 we banned ourselves when we got a terrible meal in quality and quantity. Could have forgiven them if not for reaction of the manager. He knew there was an issue,knew we were not happy and did not bother to get involved but was observed clearly looking and eavesdropping. Was left to polite young waiter who said would mention to chef so hopefully not happen to another diner!. That was all the reaction we got. The reason we banned ourselves was as we left the eavesdropping manager said next time we come ask for him and he would make sure we would be happy- no attempt to placate us by a decent apology , reduced price, replace the dish or anything- for us not acceptable. Plenty of other restaurants around where the issue would be resolved far better.

I popped in for a drink with some friends before Christmas and really enjoyed the pub. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and they are very kid friendly with toys and games to keep them entertained. Good beer selection with 5 or 6 real ales, mostly local. Didn't try the food.

Everybody was lovely, pub was beautiful, food was amazing and the gluten free options were brilliant. Dog friendly too. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you

This was a great pub to meet with friends, the pub staff were friendly and welcoming and a dog friendly pub gave good vibes didn't try the food but it did look amazing definitely recommend it

It is difficult to award such a meal even a one star. The staff are most welcoming and cannot be faulted. The premises are good and a pleasure to be in. The food is the ONLY issue! We have been a number of times and enjoyed the fish and chips, which we have recommended to a number of people. We hope they do not take our advice!! The fish we were served should have been thrown back into the sea. They were comprised of mainly batter with little meat! Our bill was over £70 for two plates of very small fish and chips and a bottle of wine!!! What on earth is the management playing at? We know that restaurants are struggling, but if you cannot provide a reasonable portion, for what is a basi meal, perhaps it is time to close the doors!! The owners should not console themselves by the fact we did not complain at the time. We never do so because it ruins the night!! But heed what we say! It is all very sad.

Yorkshire pudding was rock solid. Tasted like cardboard. Not enough gravy on the food. Food was bland.

A last minute decision to eat here ! We looked at the menu and thought it looked inviting. I had the king prawn garlic starter my wife to be the salt and pepper squid … both were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Always one for a good steak we both had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly with delicious chips and a salad mix which included pickled porcini type mushrooms and a delicious tomato with a garlic topping. Great service and will definitely return again

Have eaten here before several times with family. Very unhappy about the portion sizes - in particular one of our table ordered halibut - Pan-fried halibut, lobster tortellini, seafood bisque, salmon caviar 24.95 BUT the portion was so small it was embarrasing - very tiny piece of over-cooked halibut - the size of 1.5 fish fingers - pathetic. We will never return here again. David

Normally this place is ok for a nice roast. On this occasion I had the prawn linguine which was definitely the wrong choice - rubbery prawns & pretty tasteless. Service a bit sleepy as well. Anyway better luck next time.

We called in for a lunch Friday. It was too hot to eat outside so we went inside only to find the manager on a zoom meeting shouting at her screen. We had to move further in the restaurant so we couldn’t hear her droning on. Our meal was OK, slightly salty which spoilt it slightly. Typical Beaconsfield prices, £60 for 2 meals and beer/coffee quite an expensive lunch. Unbelievably 1 hour later, on our way out the manager was still shouting at her laptop. If the management doesn’t know how to behave what chance have the staff got.

My mother and I visited white horse two nights in a row for dinner. All the staff we encountered were friendly and smiley, making the whole experience pleasant. A minor hiccup with our order was handled by the staff brilliantly, genuine apology and rectified instantly - cannot praise them enough. The new menu food is delightful. Can’t fault the scallop and chorizo starter, or the Halibut main. Delicious. And the option to order a half size dessert is brilliant. Will definitely be back soon!

Oh dear, I hate talking establishments down but, I don’t know what this restaurant is trying to be. We were shoved down the end & abandoned for 15 minutes…it was blatantly obvious that there wasn’t enough serving staff from the get go. Our waitress was pleasant enough, it just seemed to be all over the shop where you are constantly waiting for something. The Crispy beef starter was fine & the Fish & Chips looked really good but my “premium” steak burger wasn’t! When a restaurant doesn’t ask you how you want it cooked, is when the alarm bells ring!! I think the manager was new, so maybe still finding his feet…? Anyway, I didn’t even want to write a review!

My wife and I organised a meet up with my family and choose Beaconsfield/The White Horse purely because it was central. The restaurant is large and light and service was very good. There was a very good choice on the menu. There were 5 of us and had two roasts, two cheese and tomato pies and my wife the curry. Everyone was really impressed with their meals - certainly a cut above the normal gastro pub fair - no complaints at all. Deserts were mini desserts with coffee/tea which were a good size and tasty. Prices very reasonable and a wide range of real ales on pump. Definitely make a return visit.

New manager , Fernando, has recently taken over. He really went the extra mile to ensure that we enjoyed our meal for a special celebration- staff were attentive and service was exceptional- thank you

We visited this pub for Sunday lunch. We were greeted at the door by a lovely Lady. It’s clean, tidy and easy on the eye. There is a good menu for Coeliacs, which my Wife was happy with. There was a bit of a wait for our meal but, when it arrived, wow! It was delicious! Full of flavour! The staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. It was probably a bit more expensive than other pubs but was, nonetheless, good value for money. All in all, a top experience.

The food here is very good and really nice range for gluten free. The service used to be very good also but went last week and service was very poor. If you are going to offer bar service then please have someone at the bar serving. The staff are lovely but how can you leave a bar unattended. We wanted a pub dinner, quick and easy. A suitably quiet pub convenient for conversation but still with a parent atmosphere. Clean uninspiring decor found in most pubs. A lady opposite us had a pug on her lap enjoying the evening out. Bar staff served us -pleasant and punctual. The real ale was excellent.

The food is some of the best I've had. I love my food to be hot, not warm, not right temperature to eat but piping hot and I'll let it cool down and this is exactly how it came out; which was perfect as we were outside on a chilly day. I had the pie with mash. The mash is the best I've had, smooth and buttery. My partner had the fish cakes which were nice and light. The service was fantastic, polite, friendly and timely. I'll definitely be coming back to see what the ambience is like inside and try something else on the menu.
