This little pub is probably the most friendliest pub I have been in, all the locals make you feel so welcome. A bit cheaper than other local pubs here with great entrtainment. If you are around you must go there and give it a try. Food sold outside in a very unique van, 10/10 for the food.

Ordered a breakfast from the pie and mash van. Not only were items missing and the breakfast bang on average, the price advertised apparently isn’t the price you pay. The menus on show are old ones but still up as new ones are in the post. Shouldn’t advertise a price if it isn’t what you pay. Ontop of that, the women serving was rude and unhelpful. Not a good look for a pub/food van for non locals.

Rude and abrupt lady serving on pie and mash food stand which I gathered is a part of the pub, was mocked after I asked for veggie breakfast, toast arrived 15mins later, and although I asked for breakfast without meat there was bacon in my egg, lady serving me called me rude for asking for breakfast without meat, prices on menu are different to what she is charging, was told it’s the old menu, over all I wouldn’t go back there and wouldn’t recommend, was made to feel very uncomfortable.

A great old pub with low beam ceilings, fireplace at one end(wasn't on, not even sure if it could be turned on) great selection of ale and at great prices, the outdoor area needs work but was still great for the kids to play in, garden was massive and so was the car park.

As stated in title. You can't have a conversation in here without all & sundry eaves dropping. Full of (what looked to be) the local alkies & no women present. Pub has a garden bar which isn't bad. The alcohol is reasonably priced & the staff friendly but just didn't feel comfortable all the time whilst imbibing here. A bit of the movie 'Deliverance' going through my head....

Rather depressing as hardly anyone here. We had a lunch and drink. Service was slow, and not much choice. It's situated in a nice area with interesting countryside. Would not choose to return.

A working class, run-down local place, which was full of people getting hammered on Sambukas on a Monday afternoon. The food was grim - see photo, apparently an omelette, but more of a burnt scrambled egg. The cook scraped the burnt pieces off the pan onto the plate. The bread in the other dish had a red stain on it, and inside the contents, which none of the ingredients matched. Very doubtful about the cross-contamination in the kitchen, and definitely a hygiene hazard. Cheap as chips! Avoid.

I have had a couple of extremely pleasant lunches in the Stag. The staff are excellent, especially Sue. I had a first date here over a year ago - it was perfect; private and cozy. Friday nights are good fun too.

Whilst the decor is in need of attention the warm and friendly welcome makes up for it - especially from Mary who can't do enough for you. Entertainment is usually every couple of months and is very popular. Drinks are very reasonably priced and both well behaved dogs and children also seem to be welcome. In the summer the garden is also a lovely addition but could do with some new seating - the large amount of open space gives kids plenty of room to play while the adults socialise with friends.

A bit of a find, having toured Iver Heath and found some rather stuffy and over priced eateries. "The Stag" a typical village pub in look and feel. Small bar low ceilings, just two rooms, well furnished and very prompt service from friendly bar staff. Wide selection of local ales. An obvious hit with the working locals, full at lunchtime and a good selection of bar snacks and main meals from a little menu book, but to ask for other options. Breakfast menu 'till 12.00 then bar food, events advertised for weekends. Large rear car park and garden with children's play equipment, fully fenced. An outside marque was sent up but we did not ask about any BBQ food. This is a popular watering hole for Pinewood Studio Staff which is very close-by. But we did not see any Hollywood celebs, time of or visit....

Popped in for a drink. We were completely ignored even though the place was really quiet. We eventually walked out. How much would a "I'll be with you in a minute" cost?

I went with my elderly parents for lunch. My Dad has memory issues and struggled to tell the waitress what his order was. She was really patient and helpful.

A great place with friendly helpful staff , who are always super busy , so wait is sometimes required. I never mind as people can only do one thing at a time , and the surroundings are pleasant.Go with a serene attitude and empathy for your fellow man (or woman) who is working flat out for you , and then enjoy your delicious coffee.

We love going here, staff are friendly, food is amazing and there's the garden centre to wander around afterwards. Brilliant way to spend an afternoon
