First time visit was thoroughly delicious and delightful with the food all home made and excellent, and the service and staff charming and kind. Good conversations to be had all round, a nice little library and area for children to keep busy. Absolutely worth coming - should be a pillar of the local community!

Absolutely love Cafe Brunch! It’s our go to spot whenever we want to eat out. The staff are some of the friendliest, kindest people you’ll meet, always so genuine and welcoming. The food never misses - it’s always hot, fresh and seriously tasty, plus it comes out fast and with a smile. They’re super accommodating with any requests too which makes a big difference. I always recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Wanstead and it’s the first place I take friends and family when they visit us in London.

After reading the reviews I thought what an amazing surprise for afternoon for mothers days, we was then met with disappointment from the get go, food and service was inadequate, we was later apologised to for being understaffed which from my experience working in the industry myself is no excuse, we was further laughed at by a member of staff when we was asked what it was they could do to help improve our day, because of the disrespect alone we was met with today we will not be returning.

This was a lovely find by a friend of mine we had the roast dinner was amazing and it was freshly cooked would highly recommend the staff really friendly and we got offered seconds which trust me you wouldn't be able to fit in 😂😂 We will be going here for a cream tea soon Thank you staff we didn't feel rushed we ate and drank at our leisure and nothing was too much trouble

Wish they would open they’re really room again! Caters for all and beautiful setting! Great service and my mum can’t eat dairy as allergic and does the best dairy free/vegan chocolate cakes! Miss this place!

Delicious! We tried so many treats, they were all so good, but the chicken & chorizo pasty was delicious, we had to go back and buy another one after! Staff are super helpful and friendly too. Highly recommend, we'll be back for sure!

Good Atmosphere but the chairs were not comfortable at all especially with the leg room. This was confirmed by some else. Ending on a good note, the chairs were well labelled that you didn't need to squint in the dark too find your chair.

Pier 5 is a truly great spot for a relaxed evening out. Located right by the river in Chatham Maritime, it boasts a fantastic feel-good atmosphere. The extensive drinks menu is a real highlight, offering everything from proper real ales and a great selection of lagers to a wide variety of whiskeys, gins, and much more. Whether you're after a classic pint or something a little stronger, they've got you covered. My recent evening there was fantastic. Enjoying a good drink and some delicious food while watching the river flow by was a real treat. The view across the River Medway is a definite plus. One thing that really stood out was how comfortable the outdoor seating area is, even when the evening gets cooler. They've thoughtfully provided plenty of heaters, making it a warm and inviting space to relax late into the night. When it comes to food, you absolutely have to try their loaded fries. The "mucky" options are particularly amazing – I highly recommend the Mucky Swine loaded fries with spiced fries, crispy streaky bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, house burger sauce, and BBQ sauce. They also do a Messy Cow version with beef chilli and jalapeños which sounds equally tempting! The portions here are generous, especially the chicken wings. You can get a 0.25 kilo portion or go all out with a 0.5 kilo or a 1 kilo shareable (or not!) amount. They're tossed in a secret recipe house blend seasoning, and you can choose your preferred sauces If you're looking for a relaxed and enjoyable evening in Chatham with great food, a huge drinks selection, and a lovely riverside setting, Pier 5 is definitely worth a visit. The added bonus of ample outdoor heaters makes it a comfortable choice even on cooler nights. Just make sure you try those incredible loaded fries and the generous chicken wings!

Beware - I booked this in advance and paid £40 deposit. 10 days beforehand I had to cancel. I called and was told I could not have a refund. I wouldn't mind if it were a couple of days - but 10 !! A disgrace. Beware before handing money over
