Kids are almost crying from having to endure so many adverts! UPDATE thanks for the reply. I twas IMAX as well Minecraft, and 30 minutes off of adverts was extremely frustrating for my young kids

Update 6th April 2025: Today's visit was not a great experience, people shouting and mucking about during the movie, climbing over seats, taking photos with flash on during the film. People behind putting their feet up on the top of our seats and kicking the seats throughout the movie. Not the cinemas fault but you'd think they would monitor and stop the flash photography at least. If it wasn't for the fact I had 2 kids with me and couldn't leave them alone I would have left the screen to complain. Previous review: Booked online, no need to print or collect tickets just head straight towards the screen and they will scan the ticket from your phone. Have used the IMAX screen a couple of times now, the electric recliner seats are so much comfier than the standard seats and the snack trays very handy. I recommend row F for optimal distance from the much larger IMAX screen.

Always way too hot in the cinema when watching the films and they don't bother to turn off the lights so you have to watch the film with lights on. Even though bluewater is more expensive would definitely recommend it over this cinema

Rubbish for second time, food overpriced and rubbish

Was watching lion king before rudely getting interrupted by a mouse crawling on the walls right next to us, was in the morning too and was expecting for the cleaning crew to find it.

It's a good local cinema, the only thing I don't like is they leave a lot of the lights on during the film

We spent just over £50 on tickets and food and when we went and sat down in the theatre there were at least two mice running around us. I informed a staff member and the manager came in, shining his torch around as if he was going to find and catch them with his bare hands. He then picked up a mouse trap with his bare hands and put it under the seats at the end of our row where we told him we had last seen one of the mice. I mean, at least he did something, but the fact that there isn't anything at all in place for that kind of situation, when I was told they'd had a visit from a pest team that day, struck me as odd. Not even an offer of a refund for the price of tickets if we wanted to leave, so we stayed in our uncomfortable premium seats, watched the movie and didn't eat the things that didn't come pre packaged because I don't trust the hygiene standards of the place anymore. I usually love Odeon cinema's, but we definitely won't be returning to this location.

Nice clean cinema with huge car park. I found buying a bottle of water tricky in that firstly, it wasn't obvious where to go and pay for a bottle, so tried the machine on the wall but would only let me buy two so I had to join a queue for food after getting a bottle out the fridge.

Good cinema, make sure you log your parking on the two parking machines provided near the screen entrances.

Easy to book it on my odeon app, choose to seat and order food, so once arrive they auto do it for you and find your seat yourself. Very clean and the staff are very friendly. There some local shopping around there and Arriva bus service straight to Gillingham or Chatham if you on travelling

Quite place. Perfect in the summer and good in winter Place is clean and plenty of parking spaces

Auditorium far too hot, toilets vandalised and flooded with water and excrement, staffed by a group of teenagers that cannot cope with the feral clientele, such a shame, took the gloss off of a family day out. Cinema is dying out, and in the next 5 years will probably be totally gone, which will rob future generations of the big screen experience, but then how are halls a dozen teenagers supposed police the behaviour of some utter skanks?

Great price for tickets bought online, easy ordering options for drinks and food and staff were visibly helpful and there was a member of staff sweeping up popcorn in the corridor. Facilities were clean and we had a great cinema experience for my Birthday!

I have started going back to the cinema in recent months and this place has changed a fair bit but for me it isn't a positive one. Where the desk once was is now a coffee shop so there isn't actually any human interaction like there used to be. I'm still yet to experience the imax so can't comment on that yet. Bring your own snacks and drinks everyone does unless you enjoy paying about 40 quid for a hot dog, popcorn and a drink

I had a great experience overall. Had some issues getting the tickets at the kiosk but their staff that attended to me was very polite and helpful. Loved the cinema also though it took us a bit to figure out where our seats were.

Lovely environment and entertaining

It is my regular cinema, i usually go here to watch movies most of the time. We went out today to watch sonic 3 with my 2 kids. On snacks counter, i asked for kids popcorn meals i was told its sold out, i asked for sour-patch kept in counters, was told its sold out as well. I laughed and thought must have been busy so Then i asked let’s just have only popcorn sweet and salty, then i got told only salt they have. So ok i ordered 3 salted Popcorns for 3 of us. It was badly extra salted. Even top when next customer order for sweet popcorn and it was available for him. Upon my food was left on counters without calling me that it was for me or of for other customer. Looked like colleagues were not happy to serve me. Now i always go in this cinema. It was first time i had to buy from counters. Most of the time i ordered online with tickets and pick them up on arrival. Why everything was sold out for me. Even sour-patch was clearly available i could see. Why i got treated differently by member of staff Why this discrimination with me. Very disappointed . I have name of members of staff and proof of the incident. I am well educated and come from decent family & i dont want to name and shame them publicly. Its now cinema management to decide how to trained their colleagues to provide better service. Or is it cinema management allowing their colleagues to treat customer according to their colour and race ? Very disappointment Well good luck others

Nice place to watch a large variety of movies. Clean, with perfect image and sound, at good price. The staff is friendly and helpful with necessary informations. Thank you for a very good experience!

The worst cinema and very rude staff

Local, good film selection. E-Vouchers don’t work as they should and as there are only kids available to speak to at the cinema itself, I paid twice. What’s worse is the screen was FREEZING. It’s not acceptable (when it’s 5 degrees outside) to charge for people to sit in a cold screening. Sort the heating out, or close the theatre.

Only reason I gave less star Is there was no onion on my hotdogs but had a great time watching wicked

Couldn’t give one star. £5 for a medium sprite. Place was filthy, popcorn all over floor in the lobby area. Bins over spilling, no booster for our daughter’s seat, when I say it was a mess it was a mess! Disgusting. No wonder the maidstone odeon had rats running around. They didn’t clean after each film.

I don't appreciate being judged / spoken to like an idiot by a member of staff because I asked again where to go. When confronted about how he spoke to me someone else stepped in to help. I didn't feel welcomed at all. May I suggest being a little more courteous to a mother & baby. Very rude indeed. We won't be returning.

Went today and there were rats running up the wall in Screen 3. Reported but was told nothing can be done about it.

Okay cinema comfy seats buying food and drink is an experience

Seats are not comfortable and there are very few premier seats including, as far as I know, zero recliners. It can be extremely busy, especially if it's a kids film, so be prepared to book a later slot if you don't have kids. Food and drink is VERY expensive so bring your own or be prepared to pay through the nose!!

About time this cinema invested in some lights for the stairways so it can turn off the ceiling lights during the movie. Completely ruins the ambience.

Always a great place for a movie

Lovely cinema. Pay for parking when you leave just before entrance of Odeon. Not expensive. We paid £5 a ticket in October half term.

Me and my partner often to go the odeon to watch the latest films, it's always a good experience when we go.

There is no sound for the indian movies. Very low sound, sound quality is not enough for the movies.

Like any other cinema, clean and tidy but sooo expensive for snack items..

Lights, colours, sounds, pop corn. 🤷🏼‍♂️ You do need to offer your first born and dibs on a kidney for the entry fee. And since when did they make carpet out of pop corn?!? Who'd a thunk it 🙄

The odeon is our usual cinema and we can't really fault too much about it. Some of the seating is getting tired now with some tearing, but they are comfortable seats. There's usually a premium option now too, which we have used when having deals. There's not a huge difference but the chairs are a bit more spacious and more leg room. Film choice is on par with other cinema brands, and pricing for food and drinks etc, albeit expensive, seems no more expensive than other brands. The best thing about Odeon is that they have been offering £5 tickets. This is excellent value and means we have returned to regular cinema users with our children. We thought it was just a summer scheme, but we have since been out of term time and still £5. I think this is a brilliant way of getting cinemas back as a viable option for families.

Good atmosphere and well done to management who still allowed my party of 4 to see the program in different seats but was my fault as I booked the wrong date

Not sure why there's a Costa here if they aren't open the same hours as the cinema.

They had a mouse in the cinema and after the staff members saw the mouse, they walked away with no further action. Unserious staff members.

Shame you've got to pay for the car park now. If you're having a meal as well (before or after film), the parking can cost between £2.50 & about £8.50! Depending on day and time of film.

The movie-going experience was disappointing due to the lack of sound quality (Screen 1). Watching movies at home wth home theatre might be a better option in such circumstances. Additionally, the frequent turning on of lights during the movie was disruptive.

Staff really friendly and the seats are really comfortable.

Unless you are in Premier screens, the cinema has an antiquated ambiance. Premium seats in non-premium screens do not offer a premium experience. Opt for standard seats to save money. Additionally, the majority of the staff members were quite impolite and unprofessional. I inadvertently left a bag in a cinema screen, and when I returned to retrieve it, all the items had been haphazardly removed and rummaged through.

The light was ON the whole time

Avoid odeon Chatham! when the film starts the lights don’t go out so you get a terrible watching experience. I asked why they don’t turn the lights out and it’s apparently due to there not being lights on the stairs… well how about you invest some money into renovations and fit some. they wonder why cinemas are struggling, I’d rather wait to watch it in the comfort of my own home and the lights dimmed

Not a very pleasant visit on a warm day to find the screen has no functioning air conditioning... If I wanted a sauna I would have booked a sauna... Not impressed 😡

Absolutely scorching hot. No aircon 35°c plus inside

Slightly underwhelmed at the size of the Imax screen, but the reclining seats were fun and comfortable. I had to complain to Odeon customer services prior to going to the cinema and didnt have the QR code for tickets anymore. Not a problem, they lrinted my tickets for me BUT they hadnt put till roll in for 3hrs so had to wait for it to print 3hrs worth of food orders I think the parking is cheaper if you pay in the cinema, but not sure, the machine didnt work well.

Great viewings! But unfortunately the food and drinks are really over priced need to bring down prices on food and drinks!

Off the beaten track but a decent sized cinema. Tickets were a reasonable price and seats really comfortable. I would recommend coming at a weekend, pending the film you want to see!

50p of every ticket sold must go towards buying "seat broken" covers instead of fixing the current ones. Place needs investment. I get that its only £5 a ticket but its not enough to make me return. Floor everywhere is covered in popcorn. Would a cordless cleaner and a bit of TLC from the staff waiting around twiddling fingers really hurt? Would also love to know how you "Make Movies Better" because this cinema confuses me.

Went to watch a quite place 29/06/24, 9pm showing, screen 3. 20 minutes into the film, my daughter and wife jumped out there seat after they see a large rat. We left, Informed the manager who was aware, he said they have a minor problem. We got a refund, told manager to inform others but he just went back into his office.

couldn't see the screen, has lights all around the ceiling. couldnt even focus on watching the movie as it was a horror and the lights are brighter than the movie. didnt know the kept the lights on as they never did before makes no sense 0/10 cinema experience

amazing odeon give a outstanding service they didn't have something I wanted so not only did they give me something else to replace what they didn't have they gave me a big bag of chocolate to apologise. Was such a kind lovely suprise. love their kindness and their sweet popcorn is the best!

The Amy winehouse film was really good! Popcorn and drinks were good! But the screen had rats! One run past my leg! Tested with leaving popcorn on the floor and it disappeared within in seconds, definitely a dirty and unhygienic place

The cinemas are great the food and drinks overpriced but Costa helps.

I was quiet surprised how well the place is kept clean. Prices of popcorn and other food/drink items should be lower... we paid for movie as much as for snacks. It isnt quiet okay. You know- no cinema without popcorn! Other than that its good place to go and enjoy movies. As for kids, so do adults.

arrived 1 hour late. I had I had to drive 1km to collect from the driver.

I go here for the stunning IMAX screen. Honestly if you have never experienced a film in IMAX you’re missing out. It’s about £5 more than an Odeon Luxe seat which is nothing compared to what you get. The screen is unlike anything you’ve seen before and the sound quality is unparalleled. If you’re an IMAX lover you will be very happy with the whole experience. Staff are very friendly and they speed at which you’re served is very good too! Place is kept clean and tidy and there is a tonne of parking (although there is a cost but that’s not Odeon’s doing so I wouldn’t make them down for that!)

Cineworld in Rochester is significantly cheaper. Save your money. Cheaper than half price

A group of noisy and rude teenagers ruined the whole film. The staff were complained to a couple of times but left it until the last 15 minutes of the film to warn them to be respectful of other customers and keep the noise down. The situation was not dealt with promptly or professionally

The cinema itself is nice. But you can hear the vibrations from the other rooms. The popcorn is SOOOO SALTY (and I love salty popcorn so that’s saying something) the chicken strips should be labelled as spicy as I got 3 boxes for my kids and they were way too hot for them and myself.

Went to the Odeon, Chatham to see Manon - live from the Royal Opera House. A heart stopping performance by the Royal Ballet and a joy to watch.

Although there was not many people in the screen room the film I saw was very good.

There's nothing wrong with the screens or films shown, but with no bar, the coffee shop shutting at 7 and you having to pay for parking there are better and cheaper options around.

Been to the IMAX and the recliners are really good and comfortable experience for a movie, Either alone or with your loved one and friends..

Good clean cinema surrounded by a large selection of restaurants. The car park is only free for 90 minutes, after which you have to pay. It cost me £1.25 in parking, to watch a two hour film.

Help was at hand without having to go too far to find it. Politeness and kindness was immediately given for someone, like me, that doesn't go often to the cinema, but enjoys it when the opportunity arises.

Not been to the cinema in a long time and was told I'd love it. The venue was nice, but what really annoyed me were people hanging their feet over the seats from behind me . No respect, I'll watch films at home instead.
